I have a 32gig flo, I was running 4.4.4 with TWRP and ElementalX kernel. I tried to flash 5.02 with NRT and it all went wrong. First, while flashing it got stuck at the bootloader screen - pics / screenshots here. Then I realized the bootloader was locked, so I tried to unlock the bootloader with NRT and it got stuck in a boot loop. I pulled battery and tried the “Flash Stock + Unroot” feature to go back to stock 4.4 and the command prompt came up and said it was successful, but it's stuck in another bootloop, and now I can't even get back to the bootloader menu. I didn't use force flash mode and it said to try that but i can't get to that point. am I screwed? :crying:
edit: got into bootloader menu, used force flash mode and it's stuck in a boot loop again.
I just realized there were some text documents in Simple Notepad that i would have liked to keep. Is there any way I can recover them?

My friend's phone somehow got into a reboot cycle. It loads up, launcher starts, notifications start working. Then there is a nullpointer and a core service that is failing to start then it reboots.
So as a solution I thought try wiping data/cache. When booting the bootloader it was already unlocked - not sure if we did that a while ago or what. So going into recovery, trying the data wipe, it says success and then when I start the phone it is the same, no data is gone, apps are there, reboot problem continues.
So next step, try flashing the os. I downloaded the most recent yakju build, jwr66y. My bootloader version is PRIMELA03 and the build comes with MD04, so I try:
fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader_img>
And it reports success, everything looks fine. So I reboot the bootloader and it says BOOTLOADER VERSION - PRIMELA03.
Try fastboot oem lock, says locked. Reboot, UNLOCKED. Tried flashing the bootloader and the main img with and without restarting but always get the error:
Device version-bootloader is 'PRIMELA03'.
Update requires 'PRIMEMD04'.
when trying to flash the stock rom.
I also can't boot the stock image via 'fastboot boot'. It looks successful up until it says booting and goes to the Google screen with the padlock at the bottom and just hangs.
If I try using adb sideload to push the stock update, it says verifying, then aborts.
I also tried flashing the recovery with a cwm recovery but the same problem - it says writing, OKAY, no error message, everything looks fine, then boot recovery and it's the stock recovery.
What it looks like to me is that the bootloader and possibly the entire system is failing to write to the system flash but for some reason thinks it's succeeding. How is this possible? Is the flash dead? Am I missing something basic? I haven't rooted a phone in a couple years so it's quite possible I'm just missing a step.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I just tried flashing an older stock (imm76i), starting by flashing the radio, but again the radio flash looks successful but the kernel won't flash because it complains about an out of date baseband and sure enough, the old one is still the one it's reporting, not the one just flashed.
tried fastboot erase system and fastboot erase recovery. Both report success but recovery boots as normal and system boots as normal (still in a reboot cycle).
I should also mention, that after the system boots, there is enough time to uninstall an app. It says successfully uninstalled, but after a reboot, the app is still there (this was the first attempt to stop the reboot cycle as a custom keyboard app was suspected). But again, the changes to flash seem to not be sticking.
Hi,
Have you resolved the problem? I'm in the same situation and I don't know what to do to stop the continuous reboot. I've already tried to flash a stock 4.3 factory image, erase the user data or only unlock the bootloader but nothing works. I'm running Android 4.3 stock without root and my bootloader is locked.
thank you in advance.
A few weeks ago, before the OTA release of Lollilpop for my Nexus 7, I booted into fastboot mode and manually flashed the razor factory images for Android 5.0. Everything worked fine until the N7 crashed (from a fully working state) and rebooted. When it rebooted, it would not progress past the Google logo. All I can access is the fastboot screen.
I've now come back to try and fix it. I've tried erasing the system and flashing the old (and new) stock Android images using fastboot. This process completes without errors but the N7 will still not boot past the Google logo. I've also tried flashing a custom recovery but the N7 will not enter recovery mode.
My bootloader is unlocked and is currently version FLO-04.02. Does anyone have ideas for what to try next?
Hello,
Here is what led to my issue:
I rooted my phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38886073#post38886073
Downloaded clockwork rom manager.
Here comes the thing I don't remember. At least i know that the last thing i did was to click on 'backup current rom'
After this the phone reset itself and this message came up:
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
Then i tried to reset using the power button, which led me to the 'battery full' screen - afterwards i was able to reboot. As stupid as I am I just tried the same thing again. And ever since i am stuck at the 'Secure booting error!' screen.
I am unable to enter download mode. I get to the 'Hard factory reset' screen, but if i accept doing so, it says 'Secure booting error!' again.
I also remember clicking on 'restart into recovery mode' at some point, but this is not the last thing i did.
I am really desperate. Please, help me!
Well i had the same issue today... It happened after i did two changes. One of them was to to try to relock from freegee and flash twrp again from freegee. In my case i was able to go in download mode and flash original kk rom with lg flash tool.
Unfortunatly, trying to boot in downloadmode, i still get the same error :/

How are you trying to boot into download mode? And what factory reset screen? It seems as though you did not unlock the bootloader using freegee, if you make any changes and relock the boot loader you will get that error. But it seems that it has not been unlocked. If you hold power and volume up what happens? Same thing when power and volume down, one of them is recovery (possibly factory reset you are seeing) and the other is download mode. I don't remember right now but you should read the whole softbrick thread and see if you are missing something. You may need to use LGPNST to go back to stock, you can also use that program to flash a new recovery so read carefully and follow all steps.
When this happened to me I was able to flash an unlocked bootloader and it allowed me to use my phone again as it was before doing something stupid (for me it was an attempt to re lock the bootloader).
well, i managed to get into download mode. Obviously i used the wrong method to get into download mode...
I used this method and everything worked fine, so far. : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249500
My phone doesn't boot now. Fast Boot doesnt work aswell.
All that happens is a white battery showing on the screen and when i try to fastboot all that happens is that the LED is blinking or glowing red after some while.

What do you mean when you try to fastboot? Fastboot is basically the bootloader and allows you to select recovery or download mode. What you should have done after following that thread is go to recovery and wipe everything and flash a new ROM.
If you are saying that the bootloader is not coming up and allowing you into recovery then I believe something was missed.
After trying out some varioants of this it worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40274560&highlight=red+led#post40274560
I wiped the phone, but since I had to leave over the weekend i just turned it off and went away.
Now that I am back, nothing works now :/ The Phone doesnt react to anything, not even donwload-mode.
Is the battery too low maybe? It's on the wall now for a few hours, but it still doesn't react. It's not warm either.
edit:
when i charge the phone, i will get a 'watchdog bark' after some time allowing me to get into recovery. accesing downloadmode from there doesn't do anything. strangely, the recovery isnt trwp although it should be because teenybin comes with it. it's 'bbs.gaodi.net' which doesn't have a sideload feature. what do i do now?
edit2:
after 10000 tries i got into download mode. i don't want to **** up now so i won't do anything until i know exactly what to do.
any advice?
edit3:
got it working by flashing another teenybin which included trwp - then i installed miui via sideload. i don't have signal though, but i will open another thread for this since this is another issue.
So far, I decided since my tablet was running slower than it did when I first got it, to reset it. And since I was doing that, might as well unlock the bootloader.
Well, I unlocked the device, attempted to install TWRP, then got the remote failed error, unknown command. Apparently you have to install it via flashify or whatever. Anyhow...
I rebooted the device, but now, all it does is go into recovery, shows the android robot on its side for a split second, then starts flashing white then black on the screen. The only way to stop it is to pull off the battery connector.
The LG mobile tool can see it in download mode, send it the latest kdz image or whatever, works, but still goes back to the same error - boots to recovery then hangs.
Is there a way to fix this? Trying to get it to boot a recovery img didn't work. Erasing all data seemed to have done nothing.
Did you ever unbrick it...?
My telephone keeps booting to fastboot after trying to update TWRP.
I am trying to restore the original ROM (apollo_eea_global_images_V12.5.12.0.RJDEUXM_20220208.0000.00_11.0_eea) and I can get the rom installed through fastboot but the phone enters a boot loop cycle. It starts up, vibrates shortly then reboots.
If i press volume up it goes into the original recovery menu. I have tried clearing everything and even entering safe mode but the phone will not boot.
Am i screwed?
Thanks in advance.
I installed the Pixel Experience recovery and side-loaded the zip and at least have a working OS.
I must be doing something wrong with the stock mi10t
Now i sided the miui zip and its working agian. I think i have misunderstood the procedure. I thought you only need to install the rom with flashboot and that was it.
