I was thinking about purchasing the front screen assembly for my e980, but the website I am purchasing it from says its for the F240.
- Would it be compatible with my phone (e980) even though its for the F240.

Probably not, check this website http://www.etradesupply.com/lg/optimus/lg-optimus-g-pro-e980.html I think this is what you need.
Hope it helps.
Erik
I recently bought one I found on eBay for very cheap, got it in 4 days free shipping and no tax..
The only problem with etradsupply is if you don't live anywhere near Hong Kong, they charges you almost $20 (to USA) in shipping fee just to get it to you. So if you live near North America, Try repairuniverse.com. Their digitizer part is of oem quality (I heard you can't but the real lg parts anymore, probably has something to do with the optimus g pro line being discontinued.) I got a digitizer glass from them, and it came within 2 business days with the regular us Mail delivery. It came with a few pieces of double sided adhesive, and a prying tool, which is the basicly minimum you need to get the glass replacement job done (personally I also got a point tweezer, a guitar pick like prying tool, and some 1mm width double sided adhesive just to speed things up) have heard stories of how some people spend hours replacing the glass, and only to find that the glass is defective. So be sure to buy from the reputable sellers. Repairuniverse and etradsupply are two good ones, but like I said earlier, etradsupply is to far away for some of us.

Something fell off my shelf and feel directly on my phone earlier, cracked the screen to hell. Actual screen part is alright, but the glass is destroyed.
I have been looking for a few hours trying to find a place that has them in stock but to no avail. I am looking for a US or other North American based seller as I do not have the time to wait for a shipper from Hong Kong or elsewhere in Asia.
Does anybody know of a website or specific seller on eBay that is reputable or just has them in stock, any help at all would be very appreciated.
Thanks

I would be willing to take a look at these sellers. I've gone through Google and previous posts here rather thoroughly but cannot find a place that has them in stock.
+ 1. Where to buy? ETA on back in stock?
Bought my replacement screen from mission repair.com. Broke the keypad cable so had to order from ebay out of nj.

I used this vendor: http://www.repairsuniverse.com/samsung-vibrant-t959-lcd-touch-screen-replacement.html
But they're out of stock at the time.... Be sure to be very careful with the ribbon attaching the captivate buttons to the screen, and in general, just take dismantling the phone slowly, and it'll go fine.
got mine from ww.globaldirectparts.com/category-s/6611.htm
it was way cheaper back then though. $65 or so ...
does anyone know if the capitvate screen would fit on the vibrant??? please let me know
I just broke the GPS connector of my vibrant. It still works fine except for GPS. I can sell my vibrant w/ broken GPS at $65 + shipping from California. Do u want it? Pls send me a message, if someone's interested in my phone. Thx.

the guy who posted above you they sell parts for all phones
I recently bought a screen for a friend's captivate from http://stores.ebay.com/sbstoreonline. The quality of the screen was the same as on my vibrant and the price was right ($62.99). I'm certain that what I bought was a Samsung part adn not a knockoff. The double sided sticky tape was applied to the back of the screen - all I had to do was peel off the plastic covering the tape and lay it down (I saw some adds that show a seperate adhesive kit).
Shipping took about 3 weeks...
Figured I would share this link because I just threw down $140 including shipping on a replacement screen on ebay before I saw this

Thats actually pretty reasonable price. A guy on Swedish forum got quoted 1800:- for repairing the display for his phone that dropped and broke. Getting a display from that site would be 650:- including shipping.
I ended up doing it myself, it wasn't pleasant as there were no walk-through videos at the time, but it was doable, I would recommend having $20 worth of "pro" tools from eBay before the attempt, not all the crappy ones that came in the kit.
Just bought one used. Sceeen was shattered and body was a little warped.
I thought it was due to the glass expanding after it shattered.
Anyways I got the screen replaced. But the body is still slightly curved
I think its the housing/bezel I need to change now.
If anyone knows where I can get one let me know, please.

Do you know where I can get a battery cover for E971 or E973?
I've been looking for it everywhere, but it seem to be either out of stock or it is shipped in 10pcs minimum.
Found one on www.partshe.com.
Well I've ordered back for E971, and received for E975. It fits but I am disappointed.
Not from you. Anyway, it is really weird that everybody sells bodys only for E975 and cameras for E970-973.
LG Optimus G Sprint LS970, E973, F180 LCD displays are interchangeable?
Any idea when you are getting more back covers in stock?
Found some more back covers here
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=e973+battery+door&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20130720193619
Through the wide world of Craigslist I came across a fairly beat up AT&T Optimus G Pro which I promptly bought for a cut rate price. I'm praying to the cellular gods the IMEI holds strong.
It's had a glass swap done on it judging from the missing speaker grill and perfect glass surrounded by a beat up front glass surround. The back battery door needs a replacement and the silver mid plate has seen better days.
I've found many places selling full front glass + LCD + front trim. I have found zero places selling the silver trim mid plate. I also am having a surprisingly hard time finding a black AT&T door. Can any of you direct me towards these parts? I don't care if they're shipping from China as long as I can order them. The usual suspects for parts and eBay aren't turning up much. I'd like to get this puppy back in tip top shape.
This is my first LG since maybe an LG flip back around 1999/2000. As a long time Samsung user I'm impressed after just a few hours with the G Pro. My plan was to bridge a few months till AT&T will sell me a Note 3 off contract from a company store. Since Straight Talk is now shipping LTE AT&T SIM's I wanted to sell my 3G GT-N7100 Note 2 and finally get LTE for cheap. So far I like the phone so much I might keep it for longer!
Thanks in advance for the help.

Well I feel like quite the pioneer since no one seems to know the answer. I bought a silver mid plate for an international E986 and a black E986 door. From the looks of it they appeared very similar. They're shipping from an eBay seller in Spain so I fully expect them to take a month to get here. I'll let you know what I find when they arrive.

I have yet to fine the silver mid plate and need a new one as well the glass above my camera is cracked. Some one help us.
I recently dropped my Nexus 7 and the screen cracked. The touch is also almost unusable (all glitchy).
I have the tools needed to replace the screen, and I have done it on a few smartphones in the past. My question is : what is the difference on eBay between 90$ screens from the US vs 39$ screens from Hong Kong? Is it the same screen, but just cheaper in HK because it's from the supplier directly (or almost)?

Hard to say, generally you get what you pay for, I have read about people who paid for ones from cheaper venues and they turn out to be either for the older N7, or are just right out fake, at least with ebay you have some protection. YMMV.
The cheap ones from oversea at least for the cell phones I have bought are super thin and break really easy. As mdamaged said u get what you pay for def applies to replacement digitizers!
This is what you want, period. I've been replacing phone, tablet, laptop screens for 4 years as a full time job.

I've bought 3 or 4 from China. They're good where the vendor is reputable. Look at the number of units sold and the ratings. They're around 45USD. Removing the assembly from the frame is doable, but replacing just the digitizer is NOT recommended, as I've tried at least 5 of them from various sellers and none worked properly. Plus the digitizer touches the LCD at several points and without LOCA, would create rainbow spots, which would not affect functionality, but esthetically undesirable. There are guides on how to go this is you Goog. Have fun.
I replaced 2 screens on 2 N7, yes, buy the LCD+digitizer+screen combo. Even then, removing the broken screen from the frame is difficult, the melting point of the glue is very high and on both N7 I melted a little bit the frame...
I bought the 2 combo here:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/181285339236?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
One had a dead pixel after a few days and is kind "yellowish", the other one is as OEM and has better color/white balance, so YMMV.
I think i ll go for the 2 combo. I hope that it will not be yellowish. Thank you for the help!
