I have noticed that when it comes to Stock based ROMs like @Cloudyfa CloudyG3 2.2 or @savergiggio SpArTaXx RoM there are not compatible the Verizon or Sprint variant. I and probably others would like to know what is the reason for these versions of the G3 not being compatible.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 device with model number SGH-M919. The device is using the Android 4.2.2 operating system.
The OEM specifications for the phone are available (remove the spaces):
Code:

In general, references to Samsung Galaxy S4 models seem to be relating to models i9500, i9505, and i9506. Is the SGH-M919 a re-brand of one of the other models? If so, should cross-flash to one of the other models be possible?
There are as you've found many models of Galaxy S4. The M919 is the T-Mobile variant. It has antenna hardware and modem configuration to support the networks T-Mo uses. It happens to be a sibling to the i9505 variant and ROMs (not firmware) meant for the 9505 often work on the M919. Generally speaking, you can't cross flash firmware or ROMs from other models. Some ROMs are developed to be cross platform and work on several variants. Quite a few variants of the S4 for example the ATT i1337 have locked bootloaders so ability to flash things is strictly limited in any case.
Make sure to verify the actual model you have before flashing anything.

This thread provides instructions for flashing i9505 firmware. I used the following i9505 ROMs on my S4 with m919 firmware without problems, so you don't have to flash i9505 firmware:

Thanks to the responders thus far.
So I take it that ROMs from the i9505 are typically compatible with the M919. I am guessing the the modem firmware required might be different.
Are there true (not just cosmetic) differences in hardware between the i9505 and M919?
Also when flashing the i9505 ROM onto the M919, does the device still identify as SGH-M919?
Anyone know of any roms that work on Sprint models other than Renegade & Twisted?
Can I install nougat ROM at this time on my galaxy s4 T-Mobile? Or when will be a release?

You can install it, but still has bugs ...
Isn't the only Nougat ROM currently for I9505? So you need to change the firmware and recovery to be I9505 compatible, right?

Here are two Nougat ROMs that are currently in alpha, courtesy of JDCTeam.
AOSP 7.0 and Optimized CM14

Not at all! If you have a US model Galaxy S4, you should be able to install i9505 ROMs as long as they specify it's a unified build, but in my experience, I've been able to flash i9505 ROMs on my T-Mobile S4 just fine.

Oh, I didn't know this. Should you also need to have an i9505 recovery flashed beforehand?

I'd recommend against flashing an i9505 recovery on an M919 phone simply because of different firmware. jfltetmo TWRP should be fine.

Wait, so you just clean flash the i9505 ROM on after doing a wipe...? Isn't there any issue with the kernel or baseband?
which ones work on the tmobile variant "tmous"? i know that some devices can be cross flashed. thanks everyone
