hey everyone,
i'm thinking of getting this phone, but could someone tell me about its music player?
- hows the sense music player?
- battery drain?
- audio quality with headphones?
also, i read on some threads about getting a call while listening to music.
(when you're listening to music and unplug headphones to receive call, the music starts playing again through loudspeakers after call has ended)
does this problem still exist?

(btw, does anyone know if this will be updated to ice cream sandwich)
ps:
i know the desire s is out, but it hasn't released in canada yet, soo :/

I find the stock HTC music player good, though right now I use the new google music app instead.
Yes, when you take a call the music pauses, and plays again when you end the call (where it paused). The included headphones aren't bad, but if you use your own (no mic) yes, the music play will resume on speaker. I use my desire in the car on bluetooth, so I Love this feature, on headphones, I just use the ones included so I never have to unplug to answer a call.
It will be updated officially to gingerbread, officially to icecream???? who knows, but you can bet XDA will have you covered!!!!!
One thing, if your on Telus, why not go for the Desire HD? or incredible S on Bell?

I don't see the point because the Desire S is out. It might not be out in. Canada yet but it will soon so I would wait.

about 2 days for me ( lots of sms, 40min calls per day )

not very good, but acceptable.
when i am playing music and call in and headphone unpluged, the music player will paused when the call ends. ( although i usually using the headphone to receive the call ).
I like the HTC music app but I miss the feature to edit ID3 tags (Artist, Title, Cover, etc.)
And the quality with headphones is ok for me.
new samsung lover here used to Iphones, just got myself a galaxy s3 last week. But I have one curious Question. It COULD be a setting i'm missing but i've been googling over and over and over since day one on this one so don't flame me! haha.
If I have music playing and I receive a text message or some kind of notification, it turns the music down plays the notification sound, then turns it back up. Is there a setting to make it so it plays it WHILE the music is playing?. I want to hear I got one but I do not want it to cut my music out. I'm kind of a texting addict and vibrate doesn't work too well for me but it drives me nuts that my music gets muted to play a sound, am I back in the 90's when only one sound can be played at once?. Honestly...thats the only beef i have with this phone after farting with it this past week.... .
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible... it's a feature of the OS.
Use poweramp, and you can change the setting for this. It's a much better player in my opinion anyways

I have a problem i can't resolve
i don't have any sound on video streaming app, no sound on netflix ou spbtv, i only get video.
But i can hear all other sounds ,i have sound on music, movies and videos on my sdcard, i can listen to tune in radio.
If someone can help me to get rid og this issue please ?

Why when someone calling me one speacker only rings but when i play a music or video file the two speakers works fine !!!!!
Hi I hope someone can help me pls..i have a HTC M8 Harman Kardon Edition speaker just randomly not working even if the music is playing i tried it on Native Music App or Google Play Music app..Sound notification works fine, youtube app is working fine..i dont know whats happening..:crying:
