I think it is a necessary feature because it extends the life of the display. I got my gnex from someone who used only stock rom and at the statusbar and navbar the screen is burn (not much but it can be seen). So thats why I think it is a very usefull feature

Great ROM as usual Des-Franco, simplicity is better, settings are well laid out and not overly complicated. Only thing though, this could just be me, but I am getting quicker battery drain, this morning I took the phone off the charger and within 10mins the battery percentage dropped by 3%. It's now been mostly off for the past 2 hours and the battery is at 80%. I did do a clean install, I used cpu spy and yes the phone is going into deep sleep.
Any ideas? I just flashed ASKP kernel and will report back on whether or not it slowed the battery drain.
I did not do any restores or anything with Titanium backup nor did I install any big amount of applications (whatsapp, cpu spy, tasker, es file explorer, just the basics as with any other ROM) but other ROMs did not drain like this even stock 4.3
Just attaching a log file so if anyone knows what is causing the battery drain, I know nothing about these. I basically started the log and left the phone alone.
UPDATE: Looks like ASKP did the trick, the battery drain has settled down now.

Sure does. I was spoiled 2 years ago with my note i717 as development was booming .. Them I left for the mega i9205 which had Nada .. Finally cm came around when I left for this device

Yes... it has some features that PAC does not have like On-the-go mode and multi-pane setting page. I like it and running it now.

That I know...This all has been a great learning experience. I'm looking into building a custom kernel next for AOSP ROM. And MultiROM is still being worked on, I'm waiting for someone update their part to get it going.

Only been using for a few hours but ....... OUTSTANDING!
Love all the animations. Device Control is sweet. Everything seems snappier than PAC or CM IMO.
Only hiccup I've noticed is the default launcher doesn't stick. I hit "ALWAYS" and selected in Settings but asks every time I exit an app.
Funds coming my way tomorrow and I am feeling generous!

HOW TO FLASH
Download ROM, check md5sum, and place rom in your internal/external sdcard.
Boot into recovery and wipe system, cache, data. (Make sure you make a backup to avoid hassle.)
Flash FlexOS ROM Package and gapps (optional).

I'm going to be honest with you.... Comparing roms is something that I don't like to do. I have used all custom roms and there's always something different between one and another. I build for RR and used it for a few days... But then I noticed that we don't have support for flexos and I decided to open a thread for it (we have RR under i9505 forums).
If you want to try both you're welcome to do it. Just don't compare aether or here
I'm using flex right now because I haven't found any issues yet.

Oh no I totally get it man, just when I went to the download page I saw that this was there and I didn't know what it had, it was just in the same download area. Yah I've seen RR under the i9505 sorry it didn't click right away lol

No problem... If you have been noticed on RR thread, they haven't update the rom, so me and Akhil build the latest... That's why.
BTW flex is new for the S4 and really soon we will have nightly updates so it become official.

Yah, sorry couldn't think of the name, but yah I couldn't seem to find it, so like if I'm on another app and getting an incoming call, it would be nice if it just dropped down from the top and I was able to answer or reject the call from that instead of full screen.

Did you performed a clean flash?

Yah I did, I had xposed but I disabled it, but that's my fault then

I fixed it, I turned heads up notification off by accident, it on now and it's working

Is that Bluetooth has stopped bug in this rom?

Fantastic work overall man. I've been running this for couple days and noticed a few bugs that needs squashing if you have the time for it. Bluetooth bug, when I'm connected to the car Bluetooth sometimes it just stops working and can't even turn it back on unless I restart the phone. The LED light still blinks even after I have pulled the notification bar down and viewed the notification, basically if I don't dismiss the notification the LED keeps blinking which could be a bit annoying as well as the Bluetooth bug but it might be a cm bug, not sure.
But overall great work bud, everything else running smoothly, keep it up and thank you!
