Here my newest MOD:

This time Samsung has changed a lot and it was much more work to figure out all the features. I still want to fix some minor bugs, so that i can release the 1.45 version tomorrow.
note: To have the Camera COMPLETE silent you have to delete some system-Audio files from:
\system\media\audio\ui
"shutter.ogg"
"cam_start.ogg"
"cam_stop.ogg"
"Volume_controll.ogg"

Take photo by pressing AND holding POWER-KEY until you feel the vibration, then release button. Unfortunately the Power-menu apears but photo is saved.
BURST shot mode (continious 20 pics AND Best photo) by only pressing “Menu” button (capacitive button) once
minor changes in smali-files.

new feature: during video now you can take photos by pressing the capacitive "menu" button"

So i´m proudly presenting my first MOD for the GALAXY S3:
I noticed a little bug in version 1.21, so here my new vers. 1.25:
- refocus + focus-LOCK press "menu"
- Volume Up: refocus + Shot Photo
- Volume down - DIRECT shot without refocusing ! You can shoot instandly so many photos as you want by pressing the key very fast (3-4 pics/sec.)
- Complete SILENCE camera except "volume DOWN" fast - mode
New in vers. 1.2
- Now you can instandly shoot photos by pressing Vol. Up/down without refocus object !!
- Press "Menu" button (capacitive button) to focus an object AND it will remain focused until you shoot an photo OR refocus again
- COMPLETE Silence Camera (even without touch-focus sound)

If you have allready a custom rom installed: replace original SamsungCamera.apk in system\app\ with this one using e.g. "Root explorer" or something...
You need a rooted Device !
other then that on Stock Rom delete or move SamsungCamera.apk AND SamsungCamera.odex from system\app\ folder....
Then simply insert the SamsungCamera.apk and set the permissions.
Finally restart.
Next i want to add the ability to use FLASH when battery is under 15 %, also what neggs me is the fact that when you use the "volume up/down" key to shoot a photo, it will refocus the object, even when it´s allready in focus.... But the most anoying thing is the nervouse Autofocus mode every 2 sec. ....... it would be perfect if: ones you have "touched to focus an object" it mustn´t refocus again.
The first two mods are allready excisting for other phones, but i have to understand and research the the line which i have to edit..... so PLESE help me with these mods, .... help me searching the modded AND original Camera-files in which these MODs are allready included !

Stock Rom
Delete or move SamsungCamera.apk and SamsungCamera.odex.

go to CWM
wipe data
intall zip from sd card
select the file and install
click next in aroma installer and after installation click finish
wipe cache and dalvik cache
DO NOT CLEAR DATA AFTER INSTALLATON

After installation it is recommended to connect to wifi for download of google search offline data.

Camera Fix
just download the attached camfix.zip and extract the two .so file
copy the two files using es file manager using root permissions to /system/lib
you can also use root explorer (recommended)
change perissions to 644 (-rw-r--r--) and ownership to 0.0(root:root)
reboot and done

i am working on the camera and adroid version is 4.2 jellybean.

no. there is no mass storage problem in my rom.
may be there is some problem in ur pc. check it again

I was talking about my attempt to port this rom. It was showing that there was no internal/sd card.

This rom is fantastic. Luv the way u have made it mostly "kitkat"ish.
1, The dark transparent backgrounds work beaurifully and the additional apps from Xposed does wonders.
2,Very stable.
3, Camera works but the default is down at 8mp even with patch. So the best thing to use is Lenovo Super Cam apk.
4, This rom can fool anybody that its kitkat since even the easter egg portrays it.
5, External mem shows as internal. Although most will prefer it, I prefer default since the phone has enough space for apps. So I modified that with a small change in the vold.fstab file. If anyone needs the same, buzz me.

This is a extremely good rom but there are some problems
1. Photosphere laggy (we cant say its working at all)
2. Unused sim stays at the statusbar.
Else its the best rom yet for the device.And the looks are awesome.

I dunno about the photosphere issue since i use Supercam but in order to get rid of the unused sim bars, just use Xposed Framework, Gravitybox module. In that, you will find the option to hide inactive signal bars under status bar tweaks or some similar option. Did the trick for me mate. Cheers:good:

Amazing rom !
We do have to fix 3 things on our own though like internal memory shows as external can be easily fixed by replacing the vold.fstab file in system/etc by another custom vold.fstab file .then camera patch provided in the OP by extracting them and then replacing the ones in system/lib and setting permissions to rw-r-r. And making sure you do a reboot after each change .
A lot of tedious work but yes a very stable rom no issues yet not in wifi not in anything at all

Many peoples didn't get the new SenseHome THEME feature, I was lucky to get it works on my HOX running 5.0.2
Requirements:
1- File explorer with root permit.

- Reboot to recovery and flash CAM & Fix files and do cache wipe then reboot to system

What is not working for you? The Sense Home launcher? Or Camera and Gallery?
Using Blinkfeed launcher with AICP 5.1 NL at the moment. No problems so far.

For camera and gallery you could try this zip, I happened to find it in HTC One M8 forum. I just took the chance to try it.

No the link i posted is just for a flashable .zip file for camera and gallery.
For sense 7 go to the thread mentioned in OP. And download from there the apk's and Plugins you need.

the camera wont work on resurrection remix v5.4(using the new layout). the app itself starts but i can only take photos with the flash turned on and the frontal facing camera wont work either

Yeah well i have to admit that it does not work for me either.
But basic function taking pictures (with flash ) and video recording works. [emoji14]
Unfortunately there does not seem to be a real port for all devices.

So now im asking: in this fixable?

Camera doesn't work normally with CM 12.1. When tried to open settings, it just crashes, also as when tried to use front camera

I've started this thread because this one isn't updated by OP quite long time.
What's this?
Two most useful moto apps which you can install just like normal apps. No root or recovery required. I personally have tested apps on euphoria rom, everything works perfect.
update: unfortunately you can't install gallery on stock rom without root. For doing that you have to delete the original gallery first.
What's the difference between this apps and the original ones?
I've modded them a bit. See the list of features bellow. Besides that package names are different (com.nomotorola.camera and com.nomotorola.MotGallery2).

Camera:
Advanced settings (little ladybug icon in the right bottom corner appears when you swipe out the settings wheel).
You can read more about some features here
QR, barcode and business cards recognition. "Just place the camera over the item and the scan will begin". As default it was only enabled for Moto X (2nd Gen.), Moto X Pro, DROID Turbo, and Moto Maxx/Turbo devices.
Galery:
Highlight Reel - "a collection of your photos and videos set to music, and easily share it with friends and family."
As default it was only enabled on Moto X Style/Play, Moto X (1st. and 2nd Gen.), DROID Turbo, Moto Maxx/Turbo and Moto X Pro devices.
Face Recognition - "Tag people appearing in photos and videos, and organize them automatically."
As default it was only enabled on Moto X Style/Play devices.

That's only for moto G. Ask the OP from the thread I gave the link above to edit media_profiles.xml for your phone if you're unable to capture slowmo.
Why have you ported moto G camera and gallery apps instead of porting them from Moto X?
The apps are the same for Moto E/X/G/Pure/Style/Droid etc. So no matter from which device I port. They are all the same.
The camera settings don't respond when I try to press on it

Fixed gallery FC on Highlight Reel action. But now if you are on stock motorola rom you can't install gallery without root. To install modified gallery you should uninstall the original one at first (from system/app (or priv-app) and data/app) only then you'll be able to install the modified apk.
For non stock users nothing changes. You still able to install apk just like normal app.

Camera works fine on SlimLP 0.8. One issue with camcoder- SloMo recording doesn't start, says it can't start recording because mic is in use by another application (on the other hand it doesn't FC)

you mean FC after you've install modified gallery or there's just FC in stock Gallery no mater install you modified one or not
@gen_scheisskopf yes, you can't shoot slow mo in stock camera while you're not on stock rom. I thought everybody knows that

If you don't have root enabled, you can disable the original apps so that they will not appear in your app menus etc.
By the way, congrats and many thanks to the original developer, and to S0bes as well for continuing this project!

I'm rooted. Just wondering if there may be some problems when uninstalling those stock apps

Seems like this gallery is unable to delete files. After erasing they disappear from gallery but remains on device (I can see them in file explorer), so after restart they are present again. Anyone else facing this issue?

tested in XT1575 rooted stock ROM

Hi first of all I wanna tank you for your fantastic work, this app are running like a charm in my Moto G 4G, I also have a Lenovo Tablet (rooted) and try to use this fantastics app so I give a try and the Gallery is working perfect but the camera install fine but FC when opened, do you have any ideas how to make work?
PS: The tablet has KK 4.4.2 stock rom with CWM and root.

The 'themer.zip' file deleted my phone app! Per app themer was installed perfectly though (CM 12.1)

I want only gallery and camera app.

I've done some split apps.
All tested on AOSP 5.1.1 by Percy-G2 without gApps.
Camera crashes when using panorama mode; Gallery takes a long time after boot to notice the external storage but then is almost perfect!
Screen Recorder is perfect for the little it does (it reliably starts the up+power built-in video screenshot), and Boxer... uh, I can login to Gmail fine with it!
I haven't implemented backup.sh, frankly with most people jumping to TWRP with bulk install this is added complexity for little gain (and I have little free time in these 2 weeks, heh)
