[SOLVED] Can't write on Internal Storage (5.0.1) - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone..
You are my last chance..
Okay so I installed TWRP, and did a backup of my phone. After that, i rooted it.
Then, I installed a stock 5.0.1 (Sense 6) ROM. And the problem happened: I can't write on my internal SD card/internal Storage anymore (Where "ringtones, Pictures, Media etc are located. I think this is a permissions-related problem, but I'm not sure.
I installed a custom ROM (LeeDrOiD) to see if it fixes the problem, and yes. The permissions came back again, and I could write on my internal storage (move files, create folders etc). Finally, I decided to restore my backup, but the problem came again. I couldnt write on my internal storage anymore! I don't know what the heck is happening to my phone but I don't like that!
I already read the other threads but none of them gave a working answer..
What do you think ? Please help me, you guys are the only ones who can help me..!
Sorry for my bad english

Rest in peace my friend

Hello,
I am pretty much hopeless for my htc one m8.:crying:
The problem is that my phone is stuck in a uncommon situation. When I try to install any apps or download anything in the intenal storage or change anything of my device it just restarts and vanishes all my activities.
I've been googling for 4 months and not found any solution.
Also include that the factory reset not working. It is showing formated successfully but when I press reboot and again nothing changed. All of my apps and files were there.
The problem started when the charging port was damaged and I was charging my phone all day long. Suddenly it stuck at 1% of battery then after 3 hours it shutdown. Then I repair the damaged port and the charging issue fixed but the new issue raised.
Help
Thanks in advance.

Storage corrupt is not that uncommon an issue.
Is the phone modified at all (unlocked bootloader, TWRP, root, etc.)? Or still stock?
If you know how, do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number). If you don't know how to do that, reboot to bootloader, and tell us what it says for OS number on the bootloader screen.

You can try to install the RUU (ROM update utility) which will re-write all partitions, and may help your issue.
You can flash 4.4.4 or 5.0.1 versions RUU from here (post includes instructions): https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/official-ruu1-55-605-2-t2883845
Based on your knowledge level, exe format is easiest method.
4.4.4 is Kitkat (and your current Android version).
5.0.1 is Lollipop
You can also flash 6.0 (Marshmallow). However, you have a US variant (Verizon) M8, which has a peculiarity with the Marshmallow RUUs; where you need to flash firmware.zip before the Marshmallow RUU will work. This is probably over your head, so therefore I am suggesting that you flash one of the RUUs indicated above (4.4.4 or 5.0.1).

Hero root method (tested on Orange UK)

Hi, I've only tried this on a single HTC Hero from Orange UK. I'm about to order one myself, so I'll report back whether it works on there too.
This file (3mb ish) contains the unmodified boot.img dumped from the phone, as well as boot.img.insecure, which is modified to turn off security (exact details here)
I've been testing this with the following method. Obviously if you try this it is at your own risk. You'll need a copy of "fastboot".
1) Decompress zip
2) Attach phone to USB.
3) Turn phone off.
4) Press and hold the back button, then press "power".
5) You should be in the bootloader, and it should say "FASTBOOT USB".
6) On your PC, run "fastboot boot boot.img.insecure".
The phone should boot normally. However, if you do a normal "adb shell", that shell will be running as root.
Note that this doesn't actually flash the phone; it simply uploads a kernel and tells it to boot it. On reboot, it will return to the original secured rom stored on the phone. Of course if you make changes to the filing systems as root, those will be stored to flash.
I just flashed your boot.img onto my HTC branded hero and it work just fine. Thank you sir.
Edit: Hmm just lost wifi capability. Reverting back to stock boot.img
i'm guessing there isn't much point in rooting until a newer device/os comes out?
Will it Work 4 me
I have ordered a sim free phone from the UK (I'm from Israel)
and i need root access to be able to install more font's .
Will this work for me ?
Thanks

Jwallstreet, try verifying you use the /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko which matches the kernel version you are booting.
It has to be the same build otherwise linux kernel doesn't load the wifi kernel module and your wifi won't work.

It depends on the firmware you'll get on your hero.
Until now it seems all HERO owners reported an SPL able to fastboot rom images.
My Hero Version
Until now it seems all HERO owners reported an SPL able to fastboot rom images. ?
That is SPL ?
how can i know if i got the "good" version ?
Without actually trying to boot an image, the best method I can think of would be to turn it on holding down the BACK button to enter the bootloader, and see what HBOOT version it says it has. Mine says "HBOOT-1.76.0004 (HERO10000)"

Running "lsmod" under an adb shell will tell you whether the wifi module is loaded or not. That works even on an un-rooted phone. Mine says:
Code:
wlan 591348 1 - Live 0xbf000000
and they say we are a bit back on some things...
nice to know there are android pips in Israel...

Hey Fakeer,
A guide would be awesome! I also just bought a UK unlocked Hero and also am from Israel, and my biggest worry is that I wont be able to install hebrew fonts.
I am also very new to android. I have been with winmo for many years and just now decided to try Android.
Please report your success/failure with this issue. It would be greatly appreciated.
hebrew fonts
I will let you know as soon as I will make it work .
Let's hope someone here can help me get root access on the device
I managed to "port" cyanogen's cm-recovery-1.4. The kernel is from my wwe version of hero ( 2.6.27-a5504199 #521 PREEMPT Fri Jul 3 07:56:53 CST 2009 ) . I've also recompiled the recovery binary, setting the right keycode for the trackball "press" event (the keycode is 191 ), and removing the console option from the menu.
i've tried only nandroid backup and it works fine. there's no reason for the other "utilities" not to work. There's also root through adb so you can make changes to the filesystem.
i've not "flashed" this image, no reason for now . I've only used it with "fastboot boot cm-hero-recovery.img", and everything seems to work fine.

Works great !
Booted that recovery img on my hero, used "adb shell" then I typed in :
mount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cat /system/bin/sh > /system/bin/su
chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
/system/bin/reboot
Now my hero is rooted. Nice !
Thanks
Cool! I got it working on my unlocked white Hero. I can use su in adb shell. However, when I try to install Superuser.apk with adb it says INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE and when I try with App Manager it says "Super user permissions could not be installed on this phone". I guess its trying to overwrite /system/bin/su? I tried remounting /system as writeable and chmodding su to be writeable by all but I still get the same problem.
Anybody know how to fix this please?

Use Superuser.apk and su in the attachment.
- mount system rw
- adb push su /system/bin/
- adb shell chmod 4755 /system/bin/su

I apologize. I heard that in some cases, not even that could fix it. I meant to say that there is not a fix that works in 100% of scenarios (my three-vibe could not be rectified without the use of JTAG, which I did not want to get into here.)

Oh! I understand that! I was just trying to provide a common method that I had read. I understand you weren't saying I was wrong. I was actually about to add something about your tutorial, but I had another project I was working on.
Yes, my goal is that this can be a place to help most Marvelc users solve most of their problems with as many alternatives as possible while still being fairly noob-friendly.
Thank you for reminding me of your tutorial as it slipped my mind while I was writing this in the beginning!

What you need to do is download ClockWork Mod 5.0.2.8 from http://download.clockorkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvelc.img and then rename it to recovery.img. If you're on Windows, put it into the same directory as your ADB and fastboot commands. Next, you'll need to put your phone in fast boot mode. Go into HBOOT and choose "Fastboot" by scrolling with the volume keys and selecting with the power key.
Connect your phone to your computer.
Next, depending on the OS of your computer, launch Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Linux/Mac). Navigate to the directory with recovery.img. Now type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and then power off your phone when it's done.
Now boot into recovery. Go to HBOOT and choose recovery. Now, get on your computer and find a ROM that you like (something fairly stable). Download it. Find Simon's super wipe. Download it.
Connect your phone to your computer (if you removed it earlier).
In recovery, scroll to Mounts and Storage. Go to USB Connect or something similar (it will be near the bottom). Then on your computer, place your desired rom and the super wipe. Remove the phone from your computer and choose "Go back" on your phone. Go back to the main menu.
Backup.
Flash the super wipe. Then flash your ROM.
Go back to the main menu and reboot.

Great!! thanks this seems legit I will try this as soon as I get to my PC uhm I have windows btw and have no clue how to put the cwm into my adb / fastboot directory but I will search more about it when possible thanks for your help
Well, if you're on Windows, you should have a directory like C:\Android\ or something like that.
If you're on a Mac just do:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery.img
If you want to have the file anywhere on Windows, you still need to have fastboot somewhere and then do the same command I just typed above.
For more instructions, follow the instructions in the guide under "I can't flash a custom recovery"

I downloaded java and the JDK file installed etc
Tried unzipping the sdk file again then went to the android tried to launch and same result I'm on (windows 7 64x bit).
I downloaded something when I was searching forums that kind of sounded like the file I'm suppose to be downloading the platform tools but there called android tools instead here's the files in it below
adb
AdbWinApi.dll
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
fastboot
Do you think this is the same thing? I've flashed roms on the Optimus V before so I am a little familiar with the platform tools but when i downloaded them last time I just have to go into SDK manager.

Okay great!! I went ahead and tried doing some command prompts and this is what I typed
I'm in the android file it currently says
C:\Android>
I tried typing "adb reboot bootloader" and it says

*daemon started successfully *
error: device not found
now my phone is connected to my PC its in fastboot mode it says in red on my phone FASTBOOT USB so I know for sure it's connected is there something wrong?

You're already in the bootloader. Fastboot is the bootloader, or at least part of it. You have use fastboot commands in fastboot.

Okay that's what I kind of thought so I tried typing fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and it says
error: cannot load 'recovery.img'
it is placed in the same directory as the tools are too.

I'm glad to hear you got it working!
A thought just occured that I may have overlooked in my many (unsuccessful) attempts of curing a sent-to-me 3 vibe...
Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but sd needs to be made a goldcard; so that PG76IMG.zip will auto-load...
Been a long time since I attempted but I don't remember if I checked the sd to make sure it was goldcard'd. I will go charge it up and test this new theory tomorrow (still sitting in a side-basket at work). Sometimes my mind takes a minute to put ALL the pieces together

Right, a Goldcard (unless one is S-OFF or ENG) will be required. However, achieving a goldcard requires ADB access to your phone. (The Simple GoldCard tool reads a file in /proc/*/*/ I believe to get the CID required for goldcard.) Now, ADB access is quite difficult with a bricked phone as you cannot boot into Android (or recovery) and to get S-OFF you would need to borrow the HTC Wildfire S (it MUST be a Wildfire S) to get the goldcard required.
Even with what I just said, depending on how bad your phone is bricked (Flashing a GSM RUU, for example), you may have a 100% bricked radio, thus resulting in an entirely bricked HBOOT not allowing you flash a PG76IMG.zip.
Another idea I have is that the Marvel is a PG761**** for the model number, and an incorrect RUU is the most common brick for Marvelc. What may be an issue is that the Marvelc is a PG762**** model number. The current files we have for un-bricking are Marvelc, but the android-info.txt for modelid says PG762000, therefore a GSM HBOOT (especially a locked, RUU HBOOT) would not take that file as it is for Marvelc.
What I think would be necessary is: a goldcard + a PG76IMG.zip with a GSM android-info.txt, but Marvelc radio, ROM, HBOOT, etc.
This is my idea on how we may need to do this. However, as the GSM HBOOT cannot get S-OFF without XTC-Clip which we can't use due to a lack of SIM card slot.
To get a 100% working-in-all-methods 3-Vibe Brick Recovery Method, we are waiting for the people in the S-OFF thread to get a full software S-OFF. However, even with that, we may still have issues...
I have spent a lot of time thinking about this, actually. (I'm a planner; not a dev :crying: so I can't be of much help with the dev part.) However, if it ever becomes a Team BlueRidge project to fix this type of brick (or a project by any group) I will be happy to plan (but not test just yet).
Since now we're moving into a very difficult and not-so-noob-friendly as I am intending for this thread to be, it may be a good idea to either start a new brainstorming thread or to PM or IRC or something.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Bootloop

Hey guys,
I was using Sandvolds ICS for some weeks, but since yesterday my phone won't work anymore. I was starting a bike tour, but GPS on Endomondo didn't really work. So I restarted my phone. When I boot it'll show the white screen with green HTC logo, then it'll show the Evervolv animation and this animation will be displayed until I remove the battery, one time I had it running for half an hour.
I tried to boot the phone without sd card and could boot, but after "optimising" apps it kept on crashing because, as it appears, the system data is partly on the sd card.
Now I don't know what to do, what would you recommend? I'd probably just wipe everything and reinstall a backup, but - I don't have a backup

I got the same situation with you dude!!
I'm now using beta 0.17.1, but after this afternoon everything was wrong.
Then I did a full wipe and installed the latest version of Sandvolds ICS,
It's good and normal before I activate a2sd, but after that
everything went wrong again.
And finally I tried HTC DESIRE-AOKP-milestone6 v2,
It is working normally with INT2EXT, but not very smooth and stable.
actually i don't know what's going on right now :crying:

hi everybody..i've got the same problem..everything was ok until yesterday with the latest release of the sandvold ics rom..when my phone shutted down for low battery,i put it on charge..after that,i booted it up,and it still remain on the evervolv logo...so i tried to wipe cache, wipe partition, factory reset and format and repartition the sd card..reinstall the rom..and eveything was ok the first time..after that,i enabled the a2sd,and it strucked another time..so i did everything again from the beginning, but this time i enabled the a2sd without any problem..so i started to download from the market all the stuff that i needed, and everything was fine..so i rebooted the phone..and here we go again..strucked!but the worst thing is that without the sd,the phone boot without any problem!now..i bought the sd a week ago..it's a new one..i don't think that it's an sd problem..or also the first times it won't be able to boot up and everything..also i would't be able to install the rom!..so..any suggestion?

maybe you can temporarily try DESIRE-AOKP-milestone6 v2
it's also a good choice! and a good rom also.
Hey,
I have the same problem! I also have Sandvolds ICS rom and it gets stuck on the Evervolv loading screen.
It loads up flawlessly without my SD card but then all my stuff is gone.
Any way to backup my data? (EDIT: Nevermind that question, I used backup from recovery)
BTW, SD card works, I can mount it from recovery mode.
Guys, what you say doesn't make me happy!
Maybe it's worth mentioning that I was NOT using the latest version of ICS, but I had no problems for weeks. I'm already waiting for the new Nexus phones, one of them will save me a lot of time and trouble updating to the newest OS and software
Good luck everyone, and please tell us if you manage making your phone working again
tried updating to latest ics via 4ext - fail! i could watch the evervolv animation for hours
Possible Solution
Looking in the Sandvold's thread a lot of people have been claiming that the bootloops is caused by the most recent version of Google Play 3.9.16. Apparently just deleting that will let you boot fine.

For me didn't work, but I want to try again and apply the solution directly on the first boot.

Thanks for your hint, but after a few steps, I was stuck. After downloading the SDK (not mentioned in the tutorial) I experienced problems in the following steps, here is where I had problems
- cd Program Files(x86)/Android/android-sdk/platform-tools/ - I had to enter cd AppData\Local\Android/android-sdk/platform-tools/
- adb shell - command didn't work - I entered adb resulting in lots of text on my screen
- cd /data/data/ - the shell didn't accept this

Probably because there is no folder /data/data? Have you followed the instructions in this thread? That should work.

Exactly, you have to mount more or less everything, depends on what kind of a2sd you have.
In my case, I had to mount everything because of "standard app2sd"; my "vending" are in /system, /data and /sdext.
Just to be sure, you have to undestand if the phone is connected to the computer. To check this try to write:
...../platform-tools/adb kill-server (press enter)
...../platform-tools/adb start-server (press enter)
NOW plugin your HTC Desire (in Recovery mode) to the computer and digit:
...../platform-tools/adb devices
Should appear at least your Deside (on the right side of the phone code will appear the word"recovery")
If this appear, you can prooced with "adb shell" or all other commands required for the procedure.
I had the same bootloop problem, it was easy to remove all the Play Store files.
Hope helping you.

I think that Tourist06 can't resolve with mounting /system or something else, because he has a problem with adb (adb don't talks with his device).
Have you followed this guide for installing adb?
@freakymonkey: I followed the guide, seemed to work! If I enter the shell I no more need to enter the whole path, entering "adb" will produce text. Please have a look at the following screenshot, hope you can confirm this.
@matteo.rex, no success, here's a screenshot
A pop-up appeared saying there were unidentified devices.
Thanks for your help, guys! My phone isn't working for the sixth day now

Uhm, this is the problem maybe.
First question: is the phone charging when you plugin it to the pc? (I had a problem with the cable...solved changing it)
Second: could be not an ADB installation problem, but a Driver Installation problem. Check this thread to download it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654047
If typing "ADB" a list of command appear, this mean that it work.
Windows, after the driver installation, have to recognize you Desire also during Recovery, not only during common use.
I hope it could help you!
Let us know!
p.s. I use ADB over Ubuntu, but the work is the same.

[AOKP] IceColdJelly421 - 1.6 - JellyBean 4.2.1_r1 : Internal SDCARD not showing up??

Hey Guys,
Being a new person on this forum, I was not able to post on the original thread, so posting here.
I have been on IceColdJelly421 - 1.6 - JellyBean 4.2.1_r1 for last 2 weeks and have found it to be an excellent ROM. However I noticed something very weird today.
My HTC ONE X's (international tegra) SDCARD is gone! when I connect to mac, I can only see my 2.11 GB internal phone storage, same from Settings -> Storage. I tried formatting the SDCARD (~27 GB) from TWN and mac (as FAT) but still it doesnt show up anywhere.
I also tried formatting the SDCARD from settings -> storage page, but that just keeps loading, nothing happens.
Any idea whats wrong here? I tried searching on the forum, but either didnt do a good job on it / didnt get anything
Please help / provide some input.
Update:
1) When I mount USB storage from TWN, i get a message on MAC that disk is not initialized. I format it as FAT from disk utility it works fine but then on reboot, I dont see in Android
2) Again from TWN when I try to format the SDCARD by using Wipe -> External Storage. The log says couldnt load SDCARD or something.
3) when "adb shell", I see my phone internal storage under /sdcard folder. Also I dont see any "0" folder inside my sdcard folder. As I understood from the IceColdJelly421 thread, 4.2.1 onwards, the SDCARD is mounted under 0 folder. But I dont see any.

Bump ! Any one ?
Have you flashed boot.img between different ROM versions? Because the boot.img in a particular version was bad and it was reverted in the following versions. Can't remember which though.
Try flashing boot from 1.6 for example, or 1.3.1.
I have the following files which I used.
$ md5 boot.img
MD5 (boot.img) = 77b5e63109c54aacca5e783d50cfece4
$ md5 aokp_ICJ421-V1.6.zip
MD5 (aokp_ICJ421-V1.6.zip) = a342a97d8cdbbe3f8f465aa9de809fd5
blackice.omca.co.uk/download/icecoldsandwich/IceColdJelly421 is not opening for me currently, will download again and check.

I tried that, but didnt work, the factory reset in TWR failed saying cannot mount /sdcard
When I flashed a different boot.img, TWR was able to mount and format the sdcard. Now I did a re-install of a different ROM (ARHD 18.1) and everything is working fine. Will try with ICJ again shortly. Seems like a lot of folks are reporting issues with 1.7.1.

Just installed ICJ 1.7.2 by flashing the ROM from SDCARD, worked like a charm this time, both SDCARD and internal phone memory coming. Facing the following issues with the ROM currently.
1) The battery is draining faster, will let it settle for 1-2 days and then re-check. Will also adjust the brightness level, that helped a lot with 1.6
2) The rotation of home screen is still not working, I dont use that anyways , so no problemo !
3) Noted some disturbance / noise when doing a call in speaker mode. In earphone mode, it was crystal clear.
Thanks "Lord" and all the other team members for this !!

Also trouble...
Hi, I'm also having some trouble trying to get to the 2.0.. - looking forward to it, Lord
(btw I have searched, but it's too much info to comprehend)
**1**
AFAIK I need to update my hboot (currently 0.95) and I installed the original backup (clean One X from HTC) and was trying the OTA update, but I get an error where recovery can't find the path ( "[E:...]")
Does it need original recovery?
**2**
Also when I'm trying to use the mv * ../ commands I get this:
mv can't rename '.': Device or resource busy
I'm not that experienced with the cmd/terminal stuff, so I can't really debug on my own yet :/
What does this error mean and how to fix it?
Thanks!

#1 Yes, I have also faced this problem, the best is to restore HTC's stock ROM and recovery (this is important, as custom recoveries dont work) and then update. You can find the orignal recovery in the threads. People have posted them
#2 Did you follow the exact steps of booting into fastboot, adb shell and execute the commands from there? You might want to try a different boot.img for this. I used ARHD boot.img to do the changes and then got back to ICJ. I had to change my boot.img, because the ICJ was not showing my SDCARD at all.
Let me know if this helped.
-Rock
BTW on 2.1 ICJ now and loving it. I am facing some wifi, GPS issues. But that might be just because of my router (for wifi, as I had trouble connecting to my wifi even from mac, restart of router did the trick), for GPS / Signal, I noted low signal from carrier, so will wait for few more days.
Also noted that my soft keys are often skipping. The home button needs to be clicked twice at times. But in general and overall a very good ROM.
Thanks L0rd !!!
-Rock
Facing the following issues with 2.1:
1) The GPS fixing is taking a lot of time. I remember at office, I usually get a fix very quickly, but taking time now.
2) Post playing games (subway surfer), the device gets heated a lot specially around the camera area. This is draining the battery a bit.
3) Still loosing battery a bit faster than it did earlier.
4) The home button / associated vibrations dont register at times and I need to try them again. Also noted in subway surfer that game play is a bit jerky and some of my swipes are not registered. This might be due to any off: ROM, Kernel, Game, a poor screen guard.
Trying to get some data (logs etc) to substantiate the above observations. Might shift to ARHD for sometime to compare the data and provide better inputs.

Installed ARHD, details captured here:

Yeah, I troubled the guys in their main thread after the HTC RUU exe surpriced me by erasing my SDcard, and mattoffshore gave me this link to a simple flashing tool: http://www.mediafire.com/?oik6tjvo28r9d
it worked out nicely, hboot 1.39 on .401. HTC__Y13 (tags for other unfortunate searchers)
ICJ 2.1 :good: until the next release any day now haven't had any big issues except a few camera FC and random hot reboots

M9 bricked I guess ??( NOT EVEN TRYING A ROOT )

Hello as suggested by ''Sawdoctor" (scary name btw.) I post my original from XDA Assist right here.
Okay guys I know this title isn't the best. But I don't want you to delete me because it has been already made. Because I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HECK THE PROBLEM IS.
Alright Phone : HTC One M9 (1,5 years old)
After downloading an app from google play ''Spy Camera OS 3 (SC-OS3)'' , I guess someone from you guys developed it. No idea. I don't even know if it was this app that caused it. BUT - after I downloaded it and used for a while other apps started crashing ( for example : Facebook, Instagram). So I thought oh wow. I reset my phone and it will fix everything( dummy me) . Ye I did restart it and ended up in this funny screen ( maybe you would call it BOOTLOADER ? no idea)
It says tho :
***Software status : Modified***
*** LOCKED ***
*** S-ON ***
*** SECURITY WARNING***
/*<VOL UP> to previous item <VOL DOWN> to next item<POWER> to select item */
REBOOT
REBOOT TO BOOTLOADER
BOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE
BOOT TO RECOVERY MODE
POWER DOWN
I have only tried those that are green colored and ended up back there where I started. Any ideas ? I am rookie. I have never done a root on my phones. No idea how to do it. So explain to me like to a kid. Thanks a lot.
Unfortunately just after 10 posts I can add pics. Hope you can help without seeing what I see.

Alright man, I am telling you I have never done root on my devices !! Because I know you can **** your phone up and I never wanted that.
I simply restarted phone. Turned on. This came up. Don't even know how to root.
I think (hopefully) the problem can be solved by re-flashing stock ROM. You just need to find correct RUU.zip file for your device. Rename this zip file as 0PJAIMG.zip and put zip file in your microSD card. Power off your phone. Put microSD card. Press and hold vol- and power button simultaneously (it will boot to download mode and try to install zip file in SD card). Let me know the result

Hello, great suggestion. I am going to try it. One more question to it. Do I place it in specific folder in SD card so the phones reads the .zip file first ??
Let's try this ! Hopefully it works.
Btw. is there a difference restoring it from RUU.zip file and RUU.exe file ??
EDIT: Well I just realized, I don't have any USB connector for SD cards nor available android phone to put the file via that (only iPhones at home right now) . I am going to try it tommorow and hopefull it works.

In order to succeed, you should chose by following criteria:
- RUU software version equal or higher than what's on the phone (as it is S-On in your condition)
- MID should match
- CID should match
- HTC Syncmanager (for drivers if you are going to use exe file)
- Some other miscellaneous things that are most of PC already have pre-installed (again for exe file)

IT WORKED
Big thanks to user : oscar_ferreiro
Your suggestion worked. I am back in my phone. You're boss. Hopefully it won't stop working in following days.
Thanks a lot. Have a nice day. XDA forever.

Alright man, I am telling you I have never done root on my devices !! Because I know you can **** your phone up and I never wanted that.
I simply restarted phone. Turned on. This came up. Don't even know how to root.

Then it's a borked nand. Before you flash anything blindly I suggest you spend a day or two reading about possible errors you may encounter and how to resolve them.
Good luck!.

F*ck this...
Alright listen, here we are 4 days later ... again out of nowhere !! my phone started crashing every single app.. EVERY single app, no app would work for me... I knew that if I do turn off my phone the same screen pops up with that ''Reboot'' stuff.. so I did turn the phone off ( IT DID VIBRATE BEFORE THE SCREEN COMPLETELY WENT OFF, if that's a trigger to someone) and the ''Reboot' white screen popped up as expected. WHAT THE F*CK ANDROID. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
I don't know what kind of virus can that be or whatever. I know that if I use the file I used before to reload the Stock ROM it will somehow work, but as you can see only for couple days. I didn't do anything to cause it in terms of trying to root my phone. Trust me.
Anyone willing to help ?

Yes I will do the research. Thought you just threw nonsense words with that ''borked nand".
