I lost the network for my n7100 DN4 2.1 (kitkat),and the efs file is broken.
can any one give me the middel easte modem (i think it is NJ1).

meid match....but imei not...my meid is 9900xxxxx..
the correct imei should be meid+9 but i read from cdma ws its gonna 0044xxxxxx its totally diffrent..i try to jtag but present no one box support with sprint note ii device...r*ff box exmpl
plis sir if u had other way to revive this awesome gadgets ever made please tell us...

Best thing to try is a factory reset by ##786#. Will lose everything but will hopefully restore IMEI. If not can try next step...

Hello,
I recently converted my f180L to e975 by
1. Backup Modem
2. Flash International KDZ( INDIA)
3. Root
4. Restore modem.
Everything is fine but for a few niggles
1. I cant get EDGE . Only GPRS. Edge is working on my old n95 8gb and my iphone 4 but not the optimus.
2 . If i go out of coverage area , and return, i have no signals until a reboot. Searching for networks again works but takes some time so i reboot.
Can any one help me with these issues?
P.S i searched the forum but most of the discussions are focussed on modem restoration and no signal issues..

Yeah i know. Everywhere specs indicate EDGE support. I read somewhere ( forgot where) that changing nvram values may enable edge support.. dont know how true that is. Dont even know how to accomplish this. Messing with NVRAM itslef is dangerous. Anybody with any pointers in the right direction?

Basebands have been blocked by carriers, these are carrier phones. Only way is to hex edit.

I don`t think that changing EFS could kill my phone, only modem, but I can recover EFS anytime, or I`m wrong?
Yes if you ve made a backup that should work. If you ve backed up using a recovery that would be even better.
This is all i could find on the net
Use QXDM(AVAILABLE ON XDA SOMEWHERE) to edit
NV 02508 ( EDGE ENABLED) to True
I havent tried it and dont know what it does so be careful and have everything backed up.

QXDM SHOWS everything as 0, it look like QXDM is not working with phone... or I made something wrong...

Anybody know a tool to make nvram writes stick? Qxdm will read nv item properly but doesnt write it. The changes dont stick. I even tried dfs tools. Nv 2508 is what want to write to.

Mine is f180L. Dont have a clue about K models.

There no any NVRAM chip on board, only eMMC, this means that all what have to be changed is baseband and/or EFS.
Nvram is basically inside the PROCESSOR (APQ8064) iirc. So i doubt it will show up in schematics. But even if its not there, what do we change in EFS?

Not sure if any body else has had this problem but apparently I'm not getting any service at all and this has probably been covered already but if not has any body ever had this problem with dBm and there asu signal kinda wondering why mine looks like this if any body can help me fix will be greatly appriciated I have the att e980 runing beanstalk harmony 4.4
I'd try flashing the proper radio for the e980. I don't think all the Roms are built on the US phones.

I tryd that one idk maybe a efs proplem i have a back up .img of my efs but i tryd flashing that radio and going back to stock but all it says is searching for service and wen i click on setting network search for net work its greyed out and i cant click on any thing

Ok so i got this phone info app from.the market apperently ot says my base band is unknown but every thing else is there here is pic from app and one from my settings as of now so idk if the baseband is flashing or i. It is there im confuzed

From reading various threads it appears that many, if not all, of the current 4.4 roms can cause funkyness on the e980's.

Hi,
Friend of mine could not boot so we flashed the stockfirm and everything is working but we can not call or send messages but we do have signalbars. We're from belgium I flashed a belgium/luxembourg firmware. Normally I would flash an open europe firmware but I can't seem te find it...
Any help or links to the right firmware for belgium? Open europe?

Yess but none for belgium or open europe... So I downloaded one from google... It said belgium/luxembourg, we flashed it and yeah everything went well but he could not call. Tried making new APN with the right entries but still nothing... I guess we just have to find the right firmware... Or other modem?

Well we have the international... I know I posted it in the wrong forum (also posted it in the right one already too)...
He messed up with overclocking (although I told him to stay off if you don't know how to use it) and the phone didn't pass the bootscreens...
So yeah we flashed that firmware... We were glad the phone booted again but a little later we discovered that we could not call... So yeah... That's why I'm here... Can we flash a firmware from uk? Does it matter? I know it matters that it's ATT, International or verizon... But does it matter what country?
So the phone model is a 7100 series?
I agree with you firmware sounds like its fine. The right modem should fix it.

Jip it's N7100...how do I check which modem we need? Do I need a belgian modem or does the modem need to be the same as the firmware version? Sorry for the noobquestion but I don't know a lot about these modemthings I just look for a good rom to stay with

Hello guys,
I thought if posting my other problem since the wifi one I had got quickly fixed when I posted it yesterday (thanks to the awesome XDA members).
My mom's SIM Card was on her note 2 before she gave me it, and when I removed it to replace it whith mine, I turned the phone on and entered the PIN Code, but I can't text, call, or do anything with the SIM (not registered on network)
I am sure this is not a hardware problem nor a software one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't the phone network locked?
Or try changing modem.
Visit Sammobile, click Firmware Database, and search for your N2 and country. Check the modem of the latest Android version that you have in your phone (ex. Im using KK and from the PH, the latest KK rom is ND4 and its modem is DXUFND2). Try to search for your modem in JoelDroid's thread or the Hurricane modem changer in Hurricane Tools thread.
