Hotmail Sync Problem

Hi,
Im havin problems syncing my hotmail account through the windows live program - it syncs contacts and the inbox perfectly and get all the info - but it does not sync all my other folders.
I like to put my emails into different folder (e.g. University, Ebay, Play.com, Family etc etc) so I keep myself organised. The thing is if I want a file that a friend sent me two weeks ago and I put it in the University folder I cannot get to it and would have to transfer it before hand from my pc to my inbox. (ie the mails inside my other folder are not being synced)
Is there any way I can solve this? Maybe some setting I missed or an update to WMLive that fixes this?
Thanks to anyone for his help
JP
Hi,
I'm facing the same problem but haven't found a solution yet... :'(
In you inbox screen tap menu in the bottom right and then extra. There should be an option manage folders i think. I dont know exactly because my phone is not english. It is the second option in the extra menu. You can just check the boxes of the folders you want synchronized.
yes its called manage folders
thanks a lot
also, not sure if it interests you or if it even answers the issue but hotmail's mobile website looks fantastic on the Opera browser...
My main email is on AOL and I've just ditched the buggy email client for AOL's wap portal...
give it a try!

Windows live push email via manila

Just wondering who out there uses windows live email via manila? I find it essential, however I have an issue with it, that I'm hoping one of you out there may have a workaround for.
I have several email addresses that I have accumulated over the years, which I redirect to my live account. As I have so much mail coming to my live account I like to use filters, so that as mail arrives it is sorted into organised folders. The problem is that when mail is pushed to my phone, it's only the non organised items in my inbox that trigger the manila tabs new mail bubble, or show up on the email tab of my contacts. This means that if a friend who I have a folder for in my live account, sends me an email. I will not know about it unless I randomly check the email tab and then select all emails. I will also not be able to have an email conversation with that person via the newly improved manila contacts tab
While I think of it, does anyone know how to change the from address, when sending email from their handset? I have it set correctly on the windows live site but it defaults to the @live.com address when sent from my phone.
Thanks in advance for any advice on this matter

Anyone else having Exchange Activesync troubles on Flipz (1.32.651.6) root

Hi all,
So I have a problem. When I got my phone on the 4th, I used unrevoked root with no problems. Everything, including Exchange activesync worked flawlessly.
Yesterday I decided it was time to full root this bad boy so I could play around with some of the ROMs. I followed Toasts method to a T, and everything went just fine with the flash etc etc...
Except for exchange activesync. Now my question is, has anyone been able to get activsync working correctly on this ROM?
Seems the calendar and contacts sync just fine. But when it goes to sync my mailbox it fails miserably.
Thanks in advance for any help. I love this forum already!

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem, You can try wiping the ActiveSync from your Exchange mailbox account, then sync from the EVO again (this will re-create the ActiveSync in your Exchange Mailbox.) and sync your mail, contacts & calendar again (If you choose to sync all 3)
But I've been running this ROM for quite some time now and have no problem whatsoever syncing my Exchange Mail, Contacts or Calendar.. works flawlessly , I'm on Exchange 2010
Thanks ewells38,
Unfortunately we are on exchange 2003 so there really is no way..as far as I know to wipe ActiveSync from my AD exchange account.
I have a feeling it has something to do with my AD account, and not the phone at this point, because I tried it on another device and had the same issues. But others using ActiveSync are not so.... grrrrr go figure.
Very frustrating. Anyhoo thanks for the reply and I am glad to know it is working on this ROM. At least I can eliminate that.
Well I figured out my problem. My inbox had over 50,000 emails in it. Her Derp (yes I like to save everything for easy searching) So ActiveSync was unable to parse the list I am guessing. This explains why my contacts and calendar were syncing but not my mail. Big ups to my exchange admin for figuring this one out.
I moved all my old emails to another folder and now its working great.
Haha, wow, I don't see how you people can deal with an inbox like that!! My inbox has exactly 4 e-mails in it right now... Inbox is for unread e-mail, or e-mail that needs my attention. Aside from those two scenarios it either gets filed away or deleted! I'm sure your Exchange admins cringe when they're backing up the mailstore too!
Glad you got it working!

hah! yea I used to be the Exchange admin here but have moved to to better things.. I deff hated backing up my mailstore, but there are people in this company that are twice as bad as me if you can believe that.
Since this incident, I am going to move to your organizational approach, now the only problem is I have to go through 50k emails.... ughhhhhhh.

[Q] Hotmail - Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync HELP!!

Hey, hope some one here can help as its driving me up the wall.
I have gone from the HTC HD2 which was great for my mail as I use hotmail.
I now have Desire HD but hotmail seems to be a big problem for it.
First problem I had was I could not get hotmail setup using Microsoft Exchange, after the recent update I can now get it to conncect So I can now view all my folders which is what I needed as I have used hotmail for 10 years and have all my mail set into folders. Problem I now have is I can see my folders but cant open any of my mail using HTML. It all wants to open in plain text
Why cant this great device seem to do somthing as simple as push mail form my hotmail, show my folders and open my mail in html so I can view them in full??
anybody else got this problem and have this sorted?
Thanks nathan

Moving or copying Pop3 mail, android to PC

does anyone know of a way to get POP3 email messages copied or imported from Android mail client (Verizon HTC One m8) , to PC Outlook ?
I've hunted and can not find a solution that is satisfactory.
Forwarding all emails to self isnt the solution I would like.
Customer/friend lost his desktop hard drive and his phone has a reasonable stash of mails, 1 years worth, but his mail provider only goes back one month on the server side.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows a way. Iv'e googled it hard.
