Hello everyone its a while im dealing with some issue on my galaxy tab s 8.4 LTE version which im kinda sure is not a major serious issue but i thought what the hell maybe someone found the solution for it , the issue is with sound that sometimes only sometimes it goes like choked , its sounds like something is covering the speakers " at first what i did was a Restart which fixed the issue so i was sure its not a hardware issue , for next time i just figured out it can also be fixed just by locking / unlocking the device 2 / 3 times . anyway i wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same issue or not "yes i have factory reset the device "

Had a couple of times where the sound stopped working - reboot fixed it.
Not sure about a choked sound issue though.
Had this issue a couple of times, fixed by restarting. It affected even my Bluetooth headphones, so it doesn't seem like a hardware problem.
No problems on my T800 10.5", I have never had to turn it off, or reboot since i got it, battery usage says it has not been reset in 129 days and i use it every day for movies, animi, internet and apps and ebooks using samsung text to speech app.
My sound has been fine no choked sound, I would check your cpu usage at the time you have sound problems, as a spike in cpu usage can cause audio problem.

having strange problem where after a missed call - sometimes - the phone just dies and I have to take the battery out to reset. Anyone else seen this - I have a few task managers that I think may be causing problems so have killed these already.
Thanks
JK
I'm having exactly the same problem!!! It's a super strage issue if you ask me!
I can play games for hours or browse the web and it never shuts off... But if I miss a call it's apparently shut itself off and only way to boot it up again is to remove the battery.
It can't be a heat issue since it doesn't happen during gaming and other stuff but only missed calls seem to trigger it.
Yes I've cleared the phone log a couple of times but that doesn't make any difference.
same here........not always but frequently this issue appears.....
Tried different roms, now runing cool kingdom sense 3.0 and for 2 days no problems and today it crashed twice...
could it be the radio rom??? anyone any solution yet or would it be a hardware failure...
Only fix now is take out the battery......
Hi all guy's,
first to trown my phone from my windows i want ask how many of you have my same problem and if it is related to an hardware or software issue.
Sometime without a resonable reason my phone stop producing sound when i making screen selection even if the audible selection is selected.
There are two methods for solve this problems, the first one is plugin and unplugging the phone from the usb connector.
The second one is deactivate during a call the speaker option that is auto enabled when this problem occur.
I already sended the phone to the samsung once for this problem and they gave me back it after 15 DAYS (beloved and hated apple gave me back a new iphone in 3 days when i sended it to them for a problem) and the phone worked good for about 2 weeks, now i have the same problem as i had and i don't know what to do :\
I think the problem is not related to the firmware version becouse the first time i had this problem i changed the firmwares many times trying to solve it by myself but i couldn't solve it.
What can i do? Is there someone with my same problem?
Sorry for my english and thx for the answears
i have another related problem... sometime an image talk more than 1000 worlds

Hi
I've on my ARC S ICS 4.0.4 ver .587. What I observed, that in 95% after phone call phone opened the mobile network settings.
Is any reason why phone is doing something like that.
On ICS ver .431 was the same situation
thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. additional I've installed XS Lockscreen Aeon but before instillation the situation was the same.
regards
R.
I'm on the same ROM, and I never had the situation you explained... Please check that some application you recently installed is not making this bug. Some applications are requesting weird permissions, therefore they could affect some things not related to application purpose/task at all.
Example: 5 or 6 months ago, there was a weird bug in GO SMS Pro (you probably know about that app), which forced your every phone call to go through loud speaker, no matter if you turn it of every time it turns itself on. And also that is example of how weird permissions are some apps requesting. They fixed it in short time, but the point is, there is real possibility that there is some application responsible for that weird bug you have.
Because noone else is reporting similar bug (at least till now), so it is 99% related to concretely your phone/apps/activities.

I checked and found out that if I had in QP "Toggle Network Mode" enabled this problem occurred. So after several combination I uninstall "QuickPanelSettings" and install once again and problem disappear (different file: QuickPanelSettings.apk).

I have seen some other posts on this before but they all suggested disabling hardware overlays. The problem is that occasionally, after some time, the video player on the note 10.1 2014 (or any video on full screen for that matter) has this really weird graphical glitch where everything just flickers or freaks out. It is not just the video but the entire screen just glitches while the video is playing. Now disabling H/W overlays does work but the problem is that it completely slows down my device and makes it really laggy rather than the normal snappy feel after the kit kat update. I had to return this thing so many times and I don't want to return it if I don't have to but I rather have a functional device rather than one that will die later. The problem fixes itself when I restart the device. But apparently it is due to some issue with the device not recognizing whether to get the video from the GPU or CPU or something like that. It is just really annoying and I just wanted to find a way to fix it maybe by updating the full screen video thing or anything at all. Otherwise I would want to return it. If everyone else has this problem then I figure it is because of the update, but if some of you don't then I think it is something with my device rather than the software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same problem at times, couldn't figure out so I just reboot and it works fine. Its a pain in the ass to do but it only takes less then a minute to reboot so it doesn't bother me to much. What kernal are you using?
ya it is not that big of a deal if that I only have to restart it once in a while but I was just worried this was a sign of a deeper issue or something. Like my hardware is messed up or something. Or something is loose in my tablet. I don't want it to get worse or anything. I rather get a replacement while still within the period to return it if I can (I have a 3 month return policy for instances like this). If it is more of a software thing and people just deal with it, I can live with that until they update it or something.
Also I am not too sure what you mean by kernal. It says the kernal version is 3.4.39 or something like that. Its kit kat.
Also if anyone is NOT experiencing these issues as well and they have an unrooted tablet that has been updated to kitkat and they use it regularly lemme know.
