Plenty of ways to unroot
There are plenty of ways to unroot your device. I'll number them for you!
1.) Use SuperSU. go to settings and then find unroot. It should unroot.
2.) Use odin. If you can find a stock firmware it will fully reset your tablet but it will unroot.
3.) You can update your tablet, this removes root.
I heard there is an app called THE OTA root keeper. It can un-temp root your phone or perma root your phone however I never really tried it out so use are your own risk.
Good luck and hope I helped!

nope; stock
My phone downloading the update but I was rooted, so apparently it failed to verify and the installation was aborted.
Stock and still nothing (Denver, Sprint 32Gb S3)
Updated: 2.6Mb update, had to force it, wasn't available at 1030am but at 1131am it was (MST)
Says security updates, however, if the baseband is updated, doesn't this mean the radio is being updated?
I got the same installation aborted message but then when I check if the system is up to date it says it is.
16gb on the sprint network...received the update around 1pm est
I just got the notice, its a few megs but unable to install since im rooted. it tries to do it through their stock recovery so it has issues with cmw lol
I want to know if root still will work after the update.... if so I will UN root then reroot

I think he is too conditioned on locked bootloaders after an OTA. Lol
I managed to grab the update from my cache partition. At any rate i'm about to unroot and apply it then reroot, grab a nandroid and update my upcoming ROM with it.
Mine went to install and it froze at cwm but now my data keeps cutting off. Some Sprint logging on issue pops up. Even with nandroid restore back.

This can happen if you have an SD card that has rooting tools from an older device in it. Try taking your card out, or wiping it.

Install an app from that requires root, if the app requests root and you press allow and the app works you`re rooted. What recovery do you have, samsung or CWM?
Phones don`t modify themselves, people modify phones
@jalu147 Samsung bootloaders are always unlocked, unlike HTC.

Reset the binary flash counter with Triangle Away and flash the stock rom rom with Odin, after that do a data/factory reset and after the reboot your status should say Normal again.

N7100 Software Modified
Yes, I am having the same issue, the N7100 is showing that the software has been modified, but it is a stock ROM with no flash. It is from another country though since N7100 is not sold generic in US. Any advice on how to get around it and update?

If your phone is rooted open superuser go to info there is an option to temp unroot. Mark that your phone is now temporly unrooted. Uninstall yelo. Now install yelo back. Open yelo and now live tv works. After using yelo go to superuser and unmark temp unroot. Now your phone is rooted again.. Tis you should do everytime you want to use yelo ( temp unroot your phone ).... Yelo does't support rooted devices..

Hey,
If you want to keep root and use the yelo tv app, you can grab a version which doesn't check for root on your phone Find it at this link -> http://d-h.st/uHH

I don't understand why it would check for root. I have never seen a streaming app that does and now I wounder if this will become a trend.
Hi,
Yes I have tried it and can confirm it works on my rooted phone and tablet. The reason they block rooted devices is to avoid misuse of their service as I read in some articles regarding this topic...

You don't need a computer to get root, it's not a requirement.
You need to download an app from the play store called Mobile Odin, with that you
can odin flash the required file to get root as well as flash the required cwm zip file
which is required to get root in the galaxy S4.
Thank you.

Yes, i'm pretty sure you're gonna need a computer to root. I don't even think mobile odin is compatible with our phone yet. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
The other guy is high, you need to be rooted to use mobile Odin, there is no way of rooting this phone without a computer, sucks I know.

It seems that your English is not that good. To avoid errors, your ODIN must look like this.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
As you see in the image
ODIN version is 3.04
N7100XXDMC3_N7100OXXDMC2_N7100XXDLK7_HOME.tar.md5 is firmware update file that must be chosen through the "PDA" button.

Well all right then.
If you cannot enter recovery after a proper stock rom flash, that's a bad news.
I agree with the rest. When you flash stock you should be able to access recovery. If not this is a big problem. I say try flashing either a newer stock rom or go back to square one and start all over from original stock. Some times that is the best way to solve your problems.
