Has anyone with a M9 done the above besides me? Can anyone get Notifications working? I can get the devices to pair, can customize home screens, etc. The only notifications I get are from missed and incoming calls.
I have updated the software version of the Samsung Gear Fit itself but still do not get any other notifications. Any one else get a M9 working with the Fit?
Thanks,
Rick

SideSync 3.0 and Note 3

I've been using the 8.4 for a few days now and while I really enjoy the SideSync feature to sync up my Note 3 phone when it's not on hand, I haven't been able to open a keyboard to actually type anything, respond to a text message etc.
I was wondering if there is anyway to activate a keyboard.
Thanks!
My keyboard auto pops up.

Same here, but I can't get mine to connect without launching the phone app each time
I have to launch the app each time too.
Does your battery on your note 3 not like just drop like a rock? Seems for me when it is connected by wifi direct it just drops like a rock.
I found the solution. I installed a S5 keyboard on my note 3 and it worked after that. I'm running Effortless rom on my t-mobile note 3, that's where I got the keyboard linked below.

Thanks! Working great now. Last question - is it possible for me to install a zip file without having a rooted phone? My note 3 isn't rooted.
To install that particular zip, you need root. It needs to write that keyboard to the system folder which is only writable if you have root

Grabbed the zip and flashed it. But now my Samsung Keyboard isn't working at all - I'm getting a force close whenever it's set as the default.

So has anyone solved this problem of having to launch the app on the phone each time? It'd be much more useful if we can keep the app running on the phone so we don't actually have to physically get the phone in order to use it.
I saw in the ads that we can answer/make calls from sidesync... but when i tried it won't allowed me.. is it just me?

What do you need to do to get ANT+ apps running on the stock ROM?

whatsapp emoji

Hey
Does anyone by any chance know of a way to change my system emoji to the same type as the new WhatsApp ones.
I am rooted with magisk.
Thanks in advance
I have used this in the past works great. I have not tested on this phone or on Oreo as I am holding off on root.

Dialer Question

Any way to remove the "tips" that appears on the dialpad?

Weird. I can't get rid of it.
Same here, don't know how to remove it
I submitted a bug report to OnePlus at the same time I posted the thread here. Hopefully they will answer.
So, only one other person has this problem?
I have the tips as well

I'll try it. I've already replaced Contacts, Messenger and Gallery apps. So might as well replace this one as well.
But then again, I don't want to root or install TWRP just yet either.
It's on mine. It will not go.

I just installed the Google Dialer from the OnePlus 5 and after running the Play Store update and theming it with Swift Black it's so much better than the OnePlus dialer.
I also added Google Duo for video calls.

If you get a moment, can you please check some things for me ? Do you still have the visual voicemail tab in dialer? Also, when you get a call is the One Plus buttons or Google's.
Thanks

Truecaller not showing details of unknown numbers

Hi,
I have installed Truecaller in the 5t. It is not showing names etc. of unknown numbers when I receive a call, but it shows them after I end a call. I have tried playing with the settings of Truecaller but can't seem to find anything. Any help?
Thanks
I've used Hiya, since it came bundled on my Axon 7. I installed it on my OP5T and it seems to work fine. No ads, either.
Here's a pretty in-depth comparison between the two:
https://www.techuntold.com/truecaller-vs-hiya/
I wish I could help, but my only contribution is to second what flapjack said. I've been using Hiya and it works for me.

Active Users: If you compare Truecaller with Hiya in terms of users, then former one has a huge user base then the later one.
No one in my area is on Hiya so it is not useful for me. Any other help for Truecaller?
Disable battery optimastion from settings and allow draw over apps permission for truecaller app.

Thank you for replying. But my friend who's having Oreo in his 5t can see the names of unknown numbers by Truecaller. But in my case I can only see them after the call has been ended.

Try uninstall and install again and make sure you not optimise true caller from battery optimisations. Also when you run the setup of the app allow it to ignore the optimisations.
True caller will work but would be a little slow to detect as per my testing on Oreo beta

Works fine for me on the beta, just a bit slow sometimes .. I guess you have to want for a trucaller update

Don't optimise battery consumption solved my problem
Solution
Goto Settings->Apps->Special Access->Draw over other Apps->Truecaller->Permit drawing over other apps
If this doesn't help:
Goto Sttings->Apps->Special Access->Notification Access->Truecaller->Turn it On
It should work now
