Need some help please

I bought a Htc Diamond on a market, it was installed with something called HardSpl and a ShineRom, i would like to use the official ROM on HTC webpage, contacted them, and they just told me since it was a 3th party rom they could not help.
Can one of you please tell me how to roll the official rom back on the phone?
I have tried searching this forum, but i could not find a simple explanation, i have never updated a phone before, and im pretty sure i will break it if i try without help..
So please, could someone guide me though this.

Just flash any Original ROM back
See the HTC site, give ur IMEI and download a ROM. or search here in the Forum
Just Follow the Instructions on the Update tool.

But i read somewhere, that this is not possible to just download the rom update utility from their website, because of the hardSPL installed on my Phone?
Then installing their rom will brake the phone..
Or am i wrong?

Behinf your battery is a serial number, just enter tyhat on the HTC site and you can download the latest original rom.

[Q] How to root Desire HD ( Branded, Gingerbread 2.3.3) ??

Hey guyz i know i might frustrate some ones by posting this .. But i have searched many forums but i am still confused ... I want to flash my DHD with a custom rom but i have read in the forums that i have to downgrade and i also have to create a gold card because my set is branded ... Can i create a gold card without a Sd card reader ( Any way ?? ) ... And is there any way to Root my DHD without this Gold card ?? Thanks in advance and sorry because i know there are many post like this one before ..

Wanted to add one thing .. I am only saying that my mobile is branded because i can see the 3 mobile logo at the start up but it is not only restricted to only one network .. I am using this phone in Pakistan under different network .

As for searching here's a tip I do. When I'm learning to root a new device first place you should look is the dev section. The newest/updated method of rooting tends to be very active and tend to stay on top of the threads. Sometimes this is better than Googling and getting bombarded with older methods

I rotted my device .. Then i tried to flash Android Revolution HD v6.3.2 .. I did all the steps and the rom flashed successfully as well .. But when i reboot after flashing it always boot into the recovery mode and never lets me through to the rom ..

And because i don't have 10 posts, i can't post in that thread neither i can sen a message to any of the Android Revolution team member ...

BTW thanks guyz for your help .. Hope you could find a solution of that as well ..

In the mean time i am trying to complete my 10 posts ..

Was quite helpful this, so many different (old) options. Looking into this for a friend so need to be sure this tool shouldn't wipe all their data. That'd be awkward otherwise

Hi,
I am from India and have just bought recently launched HTC One M8 Eye which is only available in China and India.
I want to know if I can root and install custom ROMs on it like any other M8. The only difference between them is a 13 Megapixel rear camera instead of a 4 UltraPixel camera. It has Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3 Ghz, which I think is the same as the European HTC M8.
EDIT: Just got to know that it lacks Infrared port too while I was trying to configure it with my home theater system. :/

We can't help you wait until their is a forum for that specific device if you try flashing an m8 Rom you would be lucky if your camera didn't work worse it could turn into a total brick

looking for the same root. the previous chinese version is similar to the standard HTC m8 root. but will wait for a specific root process for the phone.

Root will likely be no different.
-unlock bootloader
-flash custom recovery
-flash SU binaries if recovery doesn't do it for you.
-install SU app.
But, Need to be able to unlock bootloader. Also need a custom recovery made for the device. (if the regular m8 one won't do.)
As far as roms go, I doubt original m8 roms will work... Period, or at least things may not work right... Radio, camera...????
Patience. Someone brave needs to attempt all this first, or a Dev will work on it.

It would be really great if we could use M8 ROMs straight away. Hope devs find a way for it soon. :angel:

I tried to do this process for my latest phone. I have succeeded in unlocking the phone (after selecting M8 on HTCDev). However, I cant seem to get any of the recoveries installed (twrp, openrecovery*, recovery* for M8). Flashing the recovery, followed by erasing the cache is OK - no error messages. When I select "Recovery" from the bootloader menu options, it just quickly flashes something and presents the bootloader screen again. On top of it, I seem to have lost my "Delete Personal Data" as it simply reboots and goes into bootloader menu.
So unless someone figures out how to root the M8 Eye, we are stuck. I curse myself for having bought M8 Eye instead of M8, thinking its the latest and greatest - HTC was being deceptive by not clearly stating that IR blaster and a couple of other things are not included - they seem to require a HTC Mini+. They have even taken out the "hearing aid" option . I really thought that the in-call volume on M8 series would be fantastic given all the glowing reviews about the speakers and how that one of the speakers doubles up as the ear piece. It seems that low call volume is an oft stated complaint in many of the latest android phones and it leaves folks like me that use hearing aids, in the lurch. I need to have root and custom kernels to crank up the volume

Nope i have not tried to flash custom roms. I have installed xposed and few other apps to install enhance the usage.

Even i have only downloaded xposed, some of the modules dont work on xposed also, im also looking for some good roms , let me know if you find some new ones

Custom roms
Can I flash HTC m8 roms on the HTC m8eye?
And also please tell me if anyone of You'll know any custom roms other than xposed?

Just bought this phone in China (I am British, Working in Beijing). The blink feed has lost many of its options and google play is obviously missing. I have spoken to HTC in Asia and the US and they basically say that you can't do anything about it as it was specifically made for China.

I own a HTC Desire 816w which is a made of Taiwan(China Unicom). I recently updated it with some troubles and was successful in updating it, details here.
I know want to root this device. I searched the forums and came across a lot of solutions and there were drawbacks in each case when read the replies. I don't want to fall prey again with the troubles, so i want someone who can guide me throughout the procedure till i gain root access. We can do it over skype chat too. Hope someone can help me out.

Buddy I rooted my phone with pc. But the fact is I got kinguser not su. So it is a bit different. just download root genius(its in chinese) dont worry u will get it right without even knowing.

Hello. i seller sold me an HTC 816w but it is a unicom version. it is stuck on 4.4.4 androd and has no update option. Can you please tell me how you updated it? I tried downloading Hboot but is says it is curreptrd and does not install .

HI guys i am looking for HTC desire 600 rooting and recovery, my model is (606H) Taiwan version.
i want to have recovery and root , or just root. i couldn't find appropriate files and guide. i tried to search old posts but some of them or 606w (china version maybe?) but since those posts are old those download links doesnt work anymore.
if anyone already did and has files please share with me

1. First get it unlocked from htc dev website:: www_htcdev_com
2. Then follow the steps :: www_andromint_com/root-htc-desire-600/#comment-47681 :::: for clean rooting.
Use dot(.) in place of Underscore(_) [only] : as am new one here i cannot post link so replaced as text.
Hope it works. And it really works.
