Hi!
I have a 16gb LG G3 855, locked, not rooted, stock LG. I have the trouble that the phone is constantly giving the out of space error and refuses to function properly. It shows that I have 14GB of apps installed. In reality I have uninstalled almost everything, I have only about 520mb of apps installed. What could be the problem and how should I go about fixing it? I really would not want to start rooting and flashing, but am able to if need be.
Try clearing your cache if that doesn't help then a factory reset may be in order

i upgraded from 8 to 32gb SD card for my play. and i did a factory restore on top of it to start fresh. and am having problems.
1.almost no game can be installed, the games i backed up before restoring don't install "application not installed"
2.preloaded games don't work: it tells me content is not found, i download it, then it says an error occurred when running it.
3.psxperia custom apks don't install "application not installed" again
4.songs sound choppy and jump around, some don't even play
i don't get how changing SD cards could cause something like this.
help please?
and yea rooted
Did you do a factory reset or did you re-flash the firmware? Since you have root, did you delete any system apps? Doing a factory reset after removing some system apps can cause the phone to stop working. Try a re-flash this time if you didn't do so already

backed up games and music then did a factory reset only.
Could be a faulty sd card stick it into card reader and pop it into a PC and check it for errors. I had a 16 gb card go the other way and it was only 2 weeks old! That just gave me a reason to go buy a 32 gb card

So I've had my Play for about a year. I've loved it so far. But lately I'm getting many MANY force closes and apps freezing and just bad performance. I Reset the phone through the normal means through the phone. I've also used Flashtool and completely erased the phone and SD card and reset the phone completely. No help. Still the same issues. I really want to keep the phone longer but I'm not sure how to fix this. It was rooted before just to remove the factory apps. I've never flashed roms or any of that business on this phone. Anyone have any ideas of how to attack this problem?

Download X-parts off the app store and boot into recovery, post back when / if you get that far.
By normal means? Have you tried repair with SEUS? Maybe a fresh install will help, after that you can root again and remove bloatware with Titanium Backup, i think there is a bloatware removal tool somewhere around the forums too.
I just meant through the normal restore built into the phone. I'm going to wait until I finish a game I'm working on so I don't take the chance of losing my progress.

Ok, hope you guys and gals can help me. The basics are this, Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II, Rooted, stock de-odexed ROM, with 32 gig ExtSd 27 gig free, and internal SD 6 gig free.
I have searched here and tried different methods, clearing Dalvic, clearing Cache, clear data and all the above with ROM flash.
Still same message, not on all apps but some. I deleted 75% of my apps to clear up space thinking I had gone app crazy, still same message. Now I cannot update existing or install some new apps. Please help. I have no idea how to check and see how much memory is free, if that will help just tell me how and I will look. please help me fix this.
update, I went to settings, Application Manager, Running Apps and it says 819 mb used and 095 mb free and lists the programs.
That is probably the issue but how do I resolve it? Or is that the problem?
Get Clean Master:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&hl=en
There's easily 100s of MB of trash data that can safely be deleted. I see this error pop up too occasionally . Last time I ran it, it deleted 900+MB of crap that didn't show up on the System/Storage readout.
Also run TiBackup and add system app updates into ROM. Is wise to Nandroid backup before doing this, as this is permanent short of reinstalling.
Thank you, I downloaded the app and it actually let me. I ran it and cleared up a large amount of space. Then I tried again.
It failed again but this time it was error 491. I read in another post to delete the google account on the device, reboot and add it back and it will fix it. So I did that. On it did update one app that was failing but not both, so I still have one more that will not update and the error went back to insufficient storage.
Not sure if I should repeat the process of clean and delete the account and try again for the last one or what I should do? I hope I do not have this problem from now on.
I do have a question...
If I do a backup with ROM Toolbox and then flash the new rom, can I restore everything except the rom, it would be senseless to flash it then do a recovery that just replaces the buggy ROM I tried to replace. or is there a way to flash the rom without losing everything so a restore is not necessary, it would just add a clean ROM? I noticed with the Flashed ROM and the phone basically like factory I had no errors downloading apps, then I restored to get all my stuff back and I even got the problem back.
Help, anyone, I just got a tablet and want to share my cell data plan and I cant download the app for it on my phone due to error, this time no specific error, just cannot download, please I need this fixed, help.
Please help, I cannot download anything or update anything without getting a storage or error 941, 941 is the most common now.
I know someone can help me fix this, you guys can take a simple cell phone and turn it into a coffee maker and a time machine. I know someone can help me fix this?
Is there a way to install the stock ROM without wiping and losing all my data, or can I flash the stock rom and restore all my data except the ROM? Someone please help?

Umm try downloading astro file explorer and click on sd card usage. That allows u to check what is taking up all your memory and where its located and then delete what is not needed.
As for backing up stuff download gobackup. Its a great app. Lets u back up texts, apps and their data, current ringtone and set up, as well as other things..hopefully I helped...
My friend picked up one of these yesterday, his first android phone after years with iOS. Last night he was getting a low memory notification and was unable to install anymore apps.
His storage stats were showing only 1.5~gb of storage usable for installing apps, is that normal? Also the details were 500mb of apps installed, 200mb cache but only 100mb free, looks like he had 700mb unaccounted for.
Anything unusual with this or is it as to be expected on this phone?
Anyone able to help?
Done A factory and after a day he has no internal space available but only 500mb of apps and cache used.
Also he tried installing an app from the store and it is saying it can't run because his phone is rooted. We haven't rooted it though!
Sounds like a used device. Rooted and full of stuff.
No?
If so... Is wipe it clean and return to stock. See one of the guides here on that and follow it to the letter.
Things you need to know first though, is bootloader unlocked? Is it s-off? These things can decide the best way to return to stock.
Hi,
I wanted to unroot and reset to stock my phone. I used LGFlashTool and TOT and DLL from this website:
http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-stock-factory-firmware/
LG G3 Stock Factory Firmware D855 (European)
Download Android 4.4.2 V10E LG G3 Stock Firmware D855 European 32GB
Download D855 DLL
It worked all fine, but when I started and set up Android for the first time after flashing, it started immediately to install 103 Apps out of nowhere after arriving at the homescreen. See Screenshots.
This happens although I am in Flight Mode and not logged into my Google account yet. And there is no deinstalling them, I can only deactivate them.
Hard Reset didn't change anything. Flashing any other kdz (complete wipe/format with CMS Flash) doesn't help either. As soon as I get to the homescreen after setup these annoying 103 apps start to install themselves.
Since there is no SD card, these Apps must be saved somewhere on the internal space. But how do I get rid of them and the command that starts to install them magically?
Thanks for helping
Felix
I just tried to delete all the bloat Apps with NoBloat Free and System App Remover after I rooted the phone. It worked and the Apps didn't install themselves again after I restarted the phone.
But as soon as I hard reset Android, they get installed again directly after the phone setup.
These apps and the command to get installed must be saved somewhere on the internal space.
Does anyone know how this works and how I can completely removed this annoying software?
Thanks
Felix
i assume your carrier just pushes them on your device somehow, so i'd say it's hard coded just like the LG logo on boot
Freeze them with Titanium Backup is your best bet, they won't do any harm thatway, or get re-downloaded
ive seen this too, not just orange apps though, after the flash it installs orange, vodafone, singtel, plus mobile and a ton of others, were talking over 100 apps that just install automatically after reset even with no data connection, i have no idea why its happening and i cant seem to stop it
