anyone else has this issue??? i rooted my s6 edge and now google play movies will not stream.
edit. ive tried removing this lib file that was the problem before on other samsung devices with aosp before but since this is running tw and its just on stock, i thought maybe other users who rooted and watch google play movies had the same issue and might have found a fix before.
YOu should flash stock rom again... or try to install play movies app again..

same here, this only happened to me on the note 3 and 4 running on aosp but dang on tw now?? big bummer

I can play downloaded movies with Google play. Streaming gives me the error only. I have Direct TV and can live stream their program contact they allow for live streaming with no issues. I have zero issues with any other Google services. Yes...rooted and Twrped on my TMobile Variant Edge.
streaming working here, cf-auto root for the regular s6 920
working fine here too, rooted on S6E.

this is getting me mad lol i did the same root method no additional mods besides v4a and i cant stream at all.

That's odd. I can stream movies & TV that I've purchased from Google Play Movies on my rooted S6. I used Pingpong root method this weekend. Only rooted - no TWRP, custom ROM, or custom kernel. Root only.
Just rooted after latest update and play movies not working

I wonder if anyone knows a Netflix app custom or not. Cause the original up to date app doesn't load the videos.

You probably no longer have AllShare files in that rom. You will need to get them or use a rom that has them.

And i forgot to mention that when i go to xposed repository link of YBP, it says Access Denied.
Let's hope Google didn't shut it down like they did with OGYoutube.

@pyler is a developer and if someone have latest apk, please upload link, you can find it in internal or external storage/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files

I installed it and activated it but in Viper when I click driver status, is say it is NOT processing the sound. No settings matter. I think we need buysbox and other such mods to get it to work.. :/

The process runs only when you have music running, like a music player, Spotify etc. Viber runs good on the S9 together with the integrated Dolby Atmos.

That part I know since I have been using the sound mod with all my previous phones. However in my current case it does not process the sound that is playing trough the music player.
May I ask, what ROM are you using?

Working fine with magisk(just download module inside magisk) I use version 2.5. 0.5
