Just in case... this is the Note Edge TouchWiz without the Edge part of course... fully functional... In the regular Note 4 TW you have 10 Icons (including Phone and Drawer) with the Edge TW you can have 10 icons (plus phone and drawer at the buttom) so it's really 12. Also, the app drawer is 5x5.
Hey TEKHD, Thank you! but... I really don't like the Note Edge TouchWiz, How can I revert?...
No Problem...

So this gets rid of all shortcut buttons on the bottom?
Is this just a theme, or does it add functions like the dock moved to the side of the phone?
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
I'm curious about this too... Maybe the OP can add a little but more of a discription on the functionality of the launcher since our phone obviously doesn't have the edge which implements the dock icons because from just looking at the screen it seems as tho it just totally removes the dock icons but has a phone shortcut I guess? Without more of a discription I would be inclined to say that this launcher would be for those who for some reason or another don't like dock icons? But as always thanks for the share.
Lollipop?
It looks as though that it just moves the page indicator thingy to the bottom and gets rid of the dock, which IMO isn't really needed for some people. Looks cleaner to me.
Looks amazing and clean, I love it. One question though, has anyone that has flashed it come to this issue, the popup folder being off a little?View attachment 3256255

It's gonna be off a little because the edge has an edge and yours doesn't.

Will this reset home screen setting? e.g. lose foldes, widget and icons
Just tested. Does not work. Crashes TW. Had to reflash rom backup. Would of been awesome. [emoji20]
Is this from an Edge with LP or KK?
Been running this since it's release themed it a bit I am on lollipop and have had no issues
Strange, which version of lollipop are you running? I'm on the stock Canadian build. It just kept getting TW error pop up with a black screen. Any ideas?

This is deodexed so when you replace it delete the odex files should be in lib folder so it would be like this system/priv-app/touchwiz home/lib
Would it be possible to add the Edge side bar as an overlay or is that like really hard coded into the Edge software?

What do you need?
Look at Launcher.config.xml for the 16bit.
Enable landscape mode:
- Open AndroidManifest.xml
- Look for
Code:
android:screenOrientation
and change it from "nosensor" to "user"

Already tried that but doesnt work.
whats the difference between the old TouchWiz mod ??
The font looks a bit too bold for the screen. & the icons are a bit too flashy. They don't carry the subdued beauty of the background. Just my thoughts.
sweet! nice to see someone is continuing this project, but i really think you should consider making a launcher as close to stock as possible with just the added tweaks. Speed, customizable default screen etc.
Keep up the good work!
I have managed to get additional locale to the gtglauncher without decompiling gtglauncher, but then again it is not perfect, and does exhibit a strange behaviour.
Whenever I reboot the phone, it will always force close once. After that, the launcher works perfectly, no force close or whatsoever. Landscape, portrait works just like as before.
pm me if you want to know the method.
Edit: The 1st time I tried is the 16bit disabled launcher, and it force closed. When I try the 16bit version, there is NO force close anymore.
Thanks a ton for all ur hard work. A 5 icon Dock and Landscape Rotation would seal the deal. Let the donation pour in to webstar to support him.
Just a suggestion, it will look much nicer if you remove the backdrops. Currently looks too cramped and cluttered.

the phone is brilliant, the only thing i dont like is that the keys (navigation on screen buttons) is the part of the screen, so the keys make the screen smaller.
i want you to tell me wich rom is better to make this bar smaller

AOKP offers the ability to shrink OR remove the nav bar.
If you remove it, you can use the Power-control to navigate...which is slightly cumbersome.
Personally, I remove it when I'm browsing the internet, playing a a game, or doing something that I don't need the nav bar.
I think most roms offer this exact functionality now.
It's been around for quite some time.
You can also use LMT Pie Launcher to make a completely invisible nav bar that is activated with a touch of the side of the screen.
I found it to be slightly laggy, but you're mileage may vary.

Liquid rom also lets you make the navigation bar smaller or remove it.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
i use paranoid android. the room is one of the best i have seen, you get great battery life if you flash with trinity kernal and you can toggle on/off the navigation bar.

I use aokp rom to make the nav buttons smaller, identical height as the top bar.
I love all the options for AOKP but I do not like the toggles. I love the toggles and brightness bar on the newest ICS. Is there a way to add that style of toggle bar to AOKP?
There is an option in the settings to change from the standard toggles like touchwiz/ICS or switches like CM10. I wish it were possible to put the ripple unlock screen and dialer with the 4 tabs across the top.
Check out the cm10 cm9 touchwiz 5.0 theme on the play store. It costs $2 I think but it's totally worth it. Best theme out there IMO.

1) This whole topic belongs in the Q&A section.
2) If you want Touchwiz style toggles flash Touchwiz. No theme for AOKP even comes close to that stock look. The toggles by design are smaller in AOKP therefore any theme you find will only change their look - not size.

1) I did not start the thread. I just found a thread that was similar to my needs, that way I wouldn't create more clutter in the forums.
2) I find your suggestion ridiculous, if I wanted to be on a TW ROM I would be on a TW ROM. If you read my question correctly you will see that I'm not asking for an exact look: "look like Stock Touchwiz or something similar". It is not really a question of size, more aesthetics.

I know you didn't start the thread so that statement wasn't directed at you.
As for your request, I apologize for my 'ridiculous' response. It seems I misunderstood your question. You posted a pic of the stock toggles so I thought you were trying to find a theme that made them look like TW. The Touchwiz 5.0 theme for AOKP I've personally used and while it makes the toggles look pretty damn close to TW they aren't the same size and you expressed that wasn't what you wanted. I merely pointed out that that you really won't find a theme that will look as close to stock without running the stock ROM. Sorry to offend you - that wasn't my intention.
sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III
There is no way to get closer to the touchwiz toggles that with touchwiz 5.0 theme. bottom line IMO

Overview
There are two 4.4.2 codebases right now in existence, one for V5 and one for V6; this one is based on V6..
I mean, this phone is pretty similar resource-wise to the firmware this came from. the resolution should probably be fine but I'll need feedback in every regard since this is really experimental
Working
- Unknown
Not working
- Unknown
Notes
This shares the same codebase as the firmware it came from and everything should be function with connectivity and stuff; but I'll need ADB logs of any error if possible.
This is JFLTE multibase and should work fine on any of the S4 models that fall under that umbrella.

I tried to change the DPI to 320 (all elements look well), and also 400 (everything fits in the notif panel), but both gave me a FC wich would not let me go to the Home screen which is why I could not test out more with those DPI numbers.
Can the DPI change have made that FC (settings) ?
