[Test(New TW4.0 Tar added)]Finally TouchWiz4.0 for Galaxy Ace

TouchWiz4.0 Released & Available For Testing
here i have got Pm from modder he has done Touchwiz4.0 for ace .
So here is the touchwiz 4 i dont no whether it works or not coz i dont have the ace
use root explorer and rename the touch launcher.apk to the original name of the launcher and place it in system/apps and lib file in system/lib and make a backup of your launcher or install other launcher as a backup and use at your own risk

worth a try but the APK isnt TW4 but TW3...

does not work, install it with root explorer, through each file to your folders and giving them permissions, but when rebooting the phone does not start, gets the Samsung logo, and installed all that and found vercion and similarly I all give an error

yes, this is suspicious because the TW version in the zip is ver3. it should be TW4 i pressume..
did you mount r/w first before rename? i guess we cant rename apk's in use.
try using some Homescreen before renaming the TW.
did you got bootloop?

while in R / O you can rename and permits, and as much as TW3 TW4 and but still fail,

no its is Tw4.0 the Tw name will be same if it will 3.0 or 4.0 or 5.0 the launcher name will be same . i will pm modder that it is not working i fell so bad we cant get TW4.0 if u think it is TW3.0 so go in SGS2 forum & search TouchWiz4.0.apk u will se the name of TW4.0 will be same as TW3.0

& the TW3.0 is about 1.7 MB
But TW4.0 is about 1.9 or 2MB see apk

No its for both . there r many SGS & SGSL user who use TW4.0 on ther Foryo & GB Firmware . i think we cant get TW4.0 b.c the reslution is small we need to wait untill Samsung lanch any phone with same resluion with TW4.0

dude chill .due to some reasons half of the galaxy ace users have become suspicious...!!!!

TW 4.0 is made for hdpi devices. so someone must convert it for mdpi devices like the galaxy ace.

modder convert it for ace but its not working mate

Here is the private msg which i have recieved from modder . he said that unzip through 7zip i have unzip with rar . so i think i have made mistake . so here is original link & unzip through 7zip & then try may be it will works

Hey can you please test by yourself and then post a good one? hope things will be better if it is first tested and then shared...but yes do post again...even ill try myself

can seem to find it, is it possible to completely remove and replace default launcher of given mod? ie trebuchet in CM9?

u can use another launcher as default so u dont c trecuchet at all but if u wanna remove the app completely then i assume u shall put the other desired launcher in the system/app to make sure ur system wont crash if smthn goes wrong in the data partition

Yes. You just need to install another launcher and set it as default.

Download the apk of the launcher you want to use as the replacement
Go to /system/app
Remove the Rom's Launcher. EX: CM9-10/Trebuchet, MIUI/MIUI Home
Add the apk you downloaded earlier, set permissions for that apk to rw-r-r
Reboot and enjoy
And if you're just asking if it would crash the rom or not...........Then No, it won't crash or mess up anything

At the apk press and hold until the options pop up and than choose permissions then check the box like a inverted L.

Get a root file browser and then go to /system/app

[MOD] Help moding SecMms.apk for SGSII JB 4.1.2 Official

Anyone here can assist me on my problem? I downloaded and installed Virtuous Ten Studio:
I decompiled SecMms.apk and edited the required fields, and with root explorer i puted it on /preload since it wasnt allowing on system/app.
Rebooted phone, and still cant addmore then 10 contacts or make SMS larger then 4 pages..
Running official stock JB 4.1.2 SGSII
Any help is apreciated. Thanks.

Have no experience with apk tool. Puted both frameworks on "other folder" and SecMms.apk on modding-apk folder and it fails decompiling.

My problem why I can't past on system/app is that it says theres no room on the disk, while i already delete over 20mb in apps there. So something is wrong and I would like some1 to help me...

Rooted? If so than use root explorer and put those files in system/app folder and give right permission, reboot.

hello friends, I'm Yash and I'm back with Sbike mode for grand prime (ONLY LOLLIPOP TW USERS)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) first of all extract my zip
2) u wil find two things BikeMode folder and QuickPanelManager.apk copy BikeMode folder to ur priv-app and set permissions rwxr-xr-x for BikeMode and all the folders inside it...
and permissions rw-r-r for apk and arm folders inside.....
3) Reboot ur phone and install More Shortcuts app or Nova Launcher and find Sbike Mode
it will surely run
(NOTE: QuickPanelManager.apk is for those who want Sbike Mode in their Notification Panel and I'm not sure if it will work or not)

Everything works except rhe quick panel manager cannot find SBike.
