[APP] XBox Smart Glass

Check the Play Store for the new Smart Glass app. Lets you control your XBox from your Android device. It's pretty sweet.

I saw yesterday the SmartGlass in a friend's house. I'll try with me soon. ^^
Awesome app, I have Xbox smart glass installed on windows 8 pro on my PC also, if you have an Xbox 360 this app is a must have for both your android device and windows 8 PC.

I don't think apple would approve of a Microsoft xbox app somehow lol, but maybe I'm wrong, it would be weird for apple to do that knowing their anti everything thats created by their arch enemy.

IOS already has official My Xbox Live app. Don't see why this wouldn't get approved.
Actually, iPhone had this feature before us with the my Xbox app. My friend from work was bragging about it.

My Xbox Live Application?
can someone share it? I can´t install it on my nexus 7
iOS version that was released yesterday has better fucntionality than the android version. Forza and Halo dont work as they do on iOS and Windows. This Is Bullsh!t. The giving android the crappy version of everything has to end. We have the most market share, the most users but we alway get shafted. Yeah we got the app first, cool, But once the iphone/ipad got it with full smartglass functionality(not to mention an ipad specific version[yes i know sideloading works on android tablets, it runs great on my N7}) it took me over the top. I just dont see why this has to keep happening.
Has anyone had trouble getting this to work? Mine goes to Getting info from Xbox services... and eventually just fails and says "Can't sign into xbox services". I've reset everything, tried over 4g and on the same local network and made sure the account is fine and Smartglass is turned on on my box. Still no go - any ideas? No many results turn up on Google. Some complain of similar problems but there's no solution.
EDIT 12/15: The next day it started working without me doing anything different. Go figure
not available in some SEA Countries. dang I have to use a workaround to install this thing

Hello guys please help me out.I am in a dilemma as to whether I should i buy Nexus 4 it Nexus 7(2013).I was told that smartphones normally get more no of custom Roms than tablets and they also get OS updates for longer than tablets, you guys say this is true? And I am a lot into custom Roms and such things. But android for Nexus 7 has some nice Exclusice features as well!
Your response could help me buy the right one, please
Nexus 5.
Of you want a smart phone, get the nexus 4. If you want a tablet, get the nexus 7. They both will get android updates at about the same time.

Isn't the underlying question more important? So you need a phone or a tablet?
Either way though. Its a bit weird asking people what you should buy without saying what it is your looking for.
If all you care about is updates and custom roms...since these are both nexus devices, their going to be about the same.

Make my Desire a keyboard

I don't really use my Desire anymore. So that got me thinking how nice it would be if I could turn it into a remote keyboard to use with a tablet running Android. Connect them with Bluetooth and then type on the full screen.

This idea is great but i think that this isnt possible, i searched a little bit on google and i founded some app's from Google store just for this but that apps dont support our phones just Samsung models, and just new models Like SGS3 SGS4 Also Sony Xperia Z .
So this is not possible from my view . :silly:
But perhaps it could be a project for someone studying programming? Do something worthwhile while learning the ropes and perhaps pick up some donations, just a thought.

How can I access my ebooks on another tablet?

I bought some ebooks with the Samsung credit we got with this device. But I really don't want to read on such a large tablet. Can I access these books on another device? I would rather read on my Nexus 7, but I can't figure out a way to get my books there. I couldn't even find a way to access the on Samsung Note 8 tablet. It doesn't seem reasonable to sell books that can only be read on a single device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to access content I purchased on another tablet.
Thanks

There are applications that provide this option, though your device must be rooted.

Can you share more info? Point me to the apps? My Nexus 7 and my Note 8 are both rooted. My Note 10 isn't, but I willing to root it if it helps.
Thanks

Facebook? That's the only reference I can find to "fBook".
Btw, I tried installing Samsung Hub on my less than one year old (rooted) Samsung Note 8 and it installs but crashes on opening. Same result as on my Nexus 7 with build.prop edited to look like it's a Galaxy S4.
It is just insane that Samsung sells ebooks that aren't compatible with their own tablets.
How can I ever trust Samsung enough to purchase anything from them if what they sell isn't even compatible between the same family of devices of the current generation?!?

FBook is an ebook application.

"Rooted" being key here. They expect it to tun on the stock system. They cannot allow for hundreds of rooted options.

Right on the rooting, nothing special. FBook is the reader I used, it is no longer available. There are others that provide that option though.

Are you saying the reason the Samsung hub app crashes on my Note 8 and Nexus 7 is because they are rooted?
I still have made no progress accessing my ebooks I purchased on my Note 10.1 (2014) on any other device,
Any help is appreciated.

It's probably framework dependant just like a lot of the TouchWiz apps. The note 8.0 should have Samsung hub by default though, assuming you haven't debloated it.

I agree the Note 8 *should* have Samsung Hub, since it is a current generation Samsung device in the same family of tablets, but it doesn't. And it is not even listed as compatible on Samsung page:
http://www.samsung.com/us/samsunghub/
Which is why I'm at a loss why anyone would trust Samsung to buy anything from them if their own tablets aren't even compatible?

Are the books as single files? As in can ou browse for them on your device?
Or is it purchased through an application?
I use a combination of google drive + Moon Reader to achieve some thing similar.
All my books are on the google drive and moon reader + syncs my reading position so I can read on
Various devices

Wear version on the watch

Despite the version on the phone being way ahead, the Wear version on my watch is 1.3.0.2160025. Is that right, or is the fact that I rooted the watch several months ago keeping me from being up to date?
That is the latest version.
Supposedly all watches are moving to 6.0. With Asus I am assuming that will be between next year and never.
well i just got 6.0.1 on my Zenwatch been waiting for it..... and it feels good...
Is anyone running Wear 1.5 on their watch? My watch is on FW MEC23S, and the wear app is version 1.5.0.2835999.gms. However, the wear version on my watch is 1.4... Does anyone have a solution?

The latest version available for the watch is 1.4.0.2621048. It sounds like you probably are up-to-date.
