Hello all,
I decided to root my LG Optimus G Pro E98020h and got it rooted yet have had issues with the sd card as well as now seems I have locked myself out of it. I'm a newbie and have done much research yet am lost at this point. When i rebooted trying to flash the cyanogenmod 5.0 it brings up the LG logo and then it vanishes then comes back for a second or so and below it says security alert then shuts down. I need some help please! This is my only phone!
Thank you for any help.
Kristoco.

Not a huge deal, just follow the above post. It is what I would do, might sound overwhelming but the instructions are very detailed and clear. The hardest part will be finding the tot and dll for your specific variant ( shouldnt be hard , google it) and then follow the post. Hope it helps, there might be another means of getting past your problem, this is what I'd do though..

I got tired of the buggy sense 3.0 port roms and felt like trying out the leak RUU the build number is 3.06.405 but it turned out the rom isnt that smooth at all nothing that i cant live with but I'd be happier if there is anyway to downgrade?. The phone still has radio S off. Im not sure if its gonna help to downgrade. Im about to give it some try to downgrade tools I used for 2.36+ builds and keep you posted. Im open to any suggestion and help please let me know if you have any.

There you go look around those posts were like 3 down from yours sheesh
Gingerbread on HTC Desire Z doesn't have an exploitable method to root the phone. So the first thing we need to do downgrade the phone to Froyo (2.2). After that you will be able to root your phone permanently and also unlock your boot-loader allowing you to install any custom rom for your device.
1. Go to this guide. Follow it(Use the PDF - its easier).
2. Pick a rom from this forum.
3. Enjoy the best side of android.
Hope you got your answers OP, try to search before you start a new thread.

Ok guys, I need to send my inc 2 back to big red for a factory replacement. I have scoured the internet for the last 5 hours for legitimate unroot files and boot loader files to no avail. every guide that is posted on every developer site I have been to either has outdated guides or Files that are no longer hosted. the ones that do have files all link to a down loader exe that wants me to install all kinds of spam. This has been the most frustrating thing I have done since rooting my droid X2 (if you ever had one of those phones, you know what i mean) if anyone has these files or a guide that actually work PLEASE! i'm on my knees begging, post a reply here or contact me. If I can not get this to work, I will have to eat the retail cost of this phone.
Post in Question board not here, and theres plenty of guides, don't be lazy

Hey y'all,
Apologies if this has been asked before but I did a search for h873 and nothing came up. I see there's a distro of Lineage for the h870 and the us997. I'm up here in the Great White North and the h873 is the one available up here. Thinking about picking up a G6 but really want Lineage, I'm used to it on my OnePlus One.
Anyone have any experience installing either the h870 or us997 distro on an h873? Don't really want to re-sign a contract without knowing if it'll work.
Cheers and TIA

I'm wondering the same, I have the g6 and lg is just to slow to update it.
Hope someone in the know will comment on this.

The issue is the locked bootloader. LG will only unlock H870 and US997. If you don't have either of those devices for the moment you're not able to install LOS (or anything else)

What i don't understand about this though is that LG left the option in the Developer Tools section on the H873 to unlock the bootloader.
The "unlock bootloader" option IS there.
So what's the issue?
I know it's there cause i have the H873 lol
