well it boot up i cant get no signal wifi works, its on three network, i contact three and they started asking me all questions about were i got it from, i hanged up in case its stolen, or think maybe the bill was not paid
I assume that you put in your own sim and that you payed the bills ? And WiFi should work even without a simcard !

ok thanks
Sounds like you bought a stolen phone and the imei is blocked
No ROM flashing will sort that out, unfortunately. It's barred in the country you're in. It should work in other countries, but I reckon you've been fleeced with that one, I'm afraid.

Never experienced something like this, i'm in the dark here .....
Might be worth ringing 3 to see if they can do anything, but potentially the block will be the police block that permanently kills the phone.

Sadly this is the danger of buying phones via eBay and other online auction sites.
My advice is to file a dispute with PayPal (please tell us you paid via PayPal) to recover you money. Take the handset to your local police station and inform them of the situation and ask for a reference number, use this as your PayPal proof.
You will get your money back via PayPal and if the police cannot trace the original owner you should also be entitled to the handset if it was reported as lost, not stolen.
AFAIK IMEI bans cannot be reversed normally.
Always ask the seller of handsets on eBay for the IMEI so you can check that against blacklists. If the seller will not provide it, its stolen.
You can verify the info sellers provide using this service --> http://www.checkmend.com/uk/
Sadly thats all the advice we can offer. Talk and discussions on how to circumvent IMEI bans and changing of IMEI's is strictly prohibited and illegal in many countries.

Sounds like you bought a stolen phone, go through the eBay procedure for a refund.

Yes this is the best option for you, ebay will refund you and they will be held responsible about the fraudulent seller. (especially if it was covered by ebay buyer protection)
Hello and good evening.
Sorry if maybe I'm wrong section, and a question already made, but they are new and do not understand much.
That said I am reporting to you my question and I hope in your help.
I was given a Xperia S (used) by a relative whose Australian and stuck under the 3 network in Australia and does not read sim Italian.
I live in Italy so I can not use this phone with other sim outside of australia.
I was wondering if it is possible to unlock this phone so that it can read sim ITA.
I read on the net that you can do so by purchasing a code to unlock it, but I do not trust and I would not even spend money to unlock it.
Or, do you recommend an economic and confidence?
Thanks and best regards.
P.S. Sorry for my English ^ ^ "
No help?
If you want it unlocked you have to pay for it. Sorry. Check ebay, usually pretty cheap

Hi, im new to locked bootloaders and would like to ask a question. Is it possible to flash a EU bootloader over the SEA(Singapore) bootloader ?
LG couldn't be bothered to add more unlock options so im locked out of android devlopment. People in the same situation as me, keep flooding LG singapore support with emails about this issue. :good:Hopely they will cop on. :fingers-crossed::victory:
Lol thatd be the million dollar prize. im sure its not possible. Or we would all be tryin lol. I asked a similar quest. If its possible to flash the eu firmware and go from there.

Yeah it would be, but they're not bothering their asses.
I wrote to LG UK(WASTE OF TIME)
Here is the response I got:
Thank you for your query regarding your LG G4.
"I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue when unlocking the bootloader on your phone.
This is something which we do not advise our customers to do as it is roots the phone and therefore voids your warranty with us. Moreover, if your phone is a singapore model then your warranty lies with LG Singapore and therefore any issue you have in regards to this you will need to discuss with LG Singapore. As LG UK, we only manufacture phones to UK specification and every country manufacturer the hardware of their phone differently. Therefore, if your phone did not come with an unlocked bootloader as you had hoped then this is something you would need to take up with LG Singapore as it does not regard LG UK.
I apologise that I could not be of any more assistance today, Gabrielius. I would advise you contacting LG Singapore if you would like to discuss the matter further. If you need to reply please click the additional questions link below.
Thank you in advance and I hope you have a good day. "
They're lame excuse of voiding warranty annoys me. They have provided an unlock option for the eu bootloader so why not give an option for all types of bootloaders.

Hello,
I have purchased a "display" Galaxy Z Fold3 5G SM-F926B/DS but the SIM slots are disabled for some reason (the phone won't detect any SIM cards). All other features are functioning properly. The seller told me it can be enabled by installing some kind of software. Unfortunately, I haven't find any information, so far.
I have attached a screenshot where the Model & IMEI numbers can be seen.
Please note that it is not locked to a certain carrier.
My question is: Is there any software which can enable the SIM card slots?
Regards,
Sambi
Unfortunately the general consensus of XDA is that we don't condone or help anyone with display models of devices because they're technically stolen property from the manufacturer and/or retailer. Also most display models are intentionally disabled in some way, especially after they are reported stolen.
You were scammed, plain and simple. I would try returning it to get your money back but I doubt you'll be able to. And as for knowing what it was before purchasing it, in my opinion, is an expensive life lesson to research these things thoroughly before purchasing.

Thank you Spar0n,
The guy who sold me the device is working for SAMSUNG. I'll try my best to return the phone and get my money back. If he resisted, then, I may report this to SAMSUNG, directly.
Lesson very well learnt. Thank you, again!

Honestly, I would just try contacting Samsung and give them all the info you have about the seller and offer to give the device back (to get in good graces that you're willing to help them) and see if they offer you any kind of response. I personally don't have any experience with this but who knows maybe somebody nice in customer service or fraud or whoever at Samsung might take pity on you and offer a discount or something on a real phone.
{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
A reset isn't going to assign the hardware IMEIs. They were left blank during production on purpose OR after it was reported stolen Samsung removed it. Either way that's not going to fix this.

That is not a display unit (SM-F926B/DS)
The problem with that phone seems to be a lost or corrupt EFS partition
Flash the latest stock rom via ODIN , it would probably solve your problem

Hi, due to the high prices in my country I have bought an TMO version of one plus 9 pro LE2127. But to keep use my sim in my country I have to pay huge amount or I have to replace the IMEI number with one of my old phones. I have been looking for how to do but I couldn't find a valid guide for this. My phone is in Android12 now and 13 is just came today. I didn't do update yet. Can anyone help me out this issue?
Regards.

Changing the imei is forbidden in most countries and is not supported here as far as I know

I didn't know that it's forbidden here. My fault then. I apologise.

Altering the IMEI of your phone is against the law in most countries and is not something that can be discussed on XDA. Instead of trying to alter the IMEI, next time you buy a phone, make sure it's sim unlocked and doesn't have a blacklisted IMEI.

@mvollstagg I've closed this thread!
As already above indicated by @ChrisFeiveel84 and @Masterchief87, edit or change of IMEI is illegal in quite a few of countries. For this reason, I've closed the thread! XDA doesn't allow and doesn't accept discussions about or support for such an edit or change.
