Hey guys I have noticed that the graphics on clash of clans looks kind of fuzzy and low resolution (especially when zoomed all the way out) since the lollipop update. Has anyone else who plays COC noticed this?
I was thinking the exact same thing a few minutes ago when I opened the game...glad to see I'm not the only one to notice it.

Ok I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I have a nexus 5 and a nexus 7 (2013) and the graphics look nice and crisp on both of those so I definitely think it's a problem specific to the Note 4. I did send in an email to supercell support about it but I'm afraid nothing will be done about it unless a lot of users start complaining. If you have time you should email them as well.

Most likely they won't be able to help if it is specific to our device only after the update. Have you looked on their forum for anyone else having the same problem? I'll have to look when I have a chance.
Mines perfectly fine. Weird. I think all you guys with glitches and bugs just need to factory reset. That's all

I cleared the games data and cache. Things look fine so maybe try it and see what you think.

Trust me...I know the hurt lol. I'm used to it tho, so many years flashing. I like the fact all games I play now are either linked to Facebook or Google play games. No data loss.
Well much to my dismay, after going thru the pain of a factory reset without the convenience of Titanium Backup, COC graphics are still poor. I really hope Supercell will look into this.
I cleared both my caches after I installed the update and haven't run into any issues with the game. The graphics still looks crisp to me.

Yeah, I wiped cache in recovery and the cache for the apps.
Same problem for me. I wiped cache and did a factory reset but still the same.
Weird you guys are still having problems. Crisp and clear on my end with the note 4 and every other device I use.

As confirmed by other posts, you sir, have no attention to detail.
Having the same issue on my Galaxy S6. Resolution looks like ass. Jaggies and blurriness everywhere, worst when zoomed out, non-existent when zoomed all the way in. Looks worse than my Moto X (2013) rocking a 720x1280 resolution.
The lollipop update caused a regression in the note 4 adreno gpu. According to the Oculus devs we're losing 20-30% of the gpu power compared to kitkat. They have a fix but suggested we complain to Samsung so they roll it out faster.

There is....it's an app called Video Live Wallpaper, making video your wallpaper does have obvious device performance trade offs but it's not nothing too serious. Check it out.
Thank you. I downloaded the app, but it's not showing on my apps list I deleted LauncherPro to see if that was the issue, but using TW didn't find it either. I've reset and still no luck, yet when I go into AppMonster, it says it's installed, but I can't launch it.
EDIT: Got onto the makers website and figured out that I needed to go into the Live Wallpapers like I did before and go from there. Thanks again.
Kind of got one made. Had to use the download app mentioned in the thread, but i think it came out pretty well.

The OP has a point too. Most of the time things are pretty smooth. But I still notice a slight hesitation when I open the phone app, or messaging, and every so often it just starts to chug and lag like crazy. Is it better than ICS? Hell yes. Is it lag free? I'm afraid it's still not....

I love when people compare smoothness of an android to a phone that doesnt allow customization, doesnt handle widgets, and can basically do nothing. Of course the phone is going to run smooth when apple is the one who tells you how to control it.

When you have a basic OS, basic hardware works fine.
These threads are getting rather tiresome.
iPhones are not as smooth as you guys portray them to be.. and anyone that states they are haven't spent more than a 5 minutes with one.
I have first hand knowledge on an iPhone 4S from a friend who has one that always complains that its slow, doesn't connect to whatsapp all the time and various other problems... He complains to me because I'm more knowledgeable in tech related stuff then he is, thinking I could fix it.
Those of you that have had iPhones previously who say that it was much smoother are either missing their phones or simply don't remember what it was truly like because they didn't know any different.
I've played with my friends phone each time he complains about it to see if I can understand what he means, and each time I've experienced the lagginess that I've experienced in Gingerbread... its just the nature of phones.
So over time all phones get laggy, just as computers do... a fresh restart helps.
But Jellybean is by far the best one out there.
EDIT: Beyond this - his entire phone, case and all, fits on top of my screen... and the edges of my screen still pop out. I can do plenty of things that he can't, all of the things he can, and I don't have to have iTunes ruin my songs the way his does.
Call It a bonus.
Why can't we go a single day without having a incoherent/troll-bait thread?
Lol...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Is it perfectly smooth 100% of the time? Nope. There are still instances of lag and lower framerates. But it's by far the smoothest Android experience I've ever had, and I'm sure it will only get better in the future.

I think the Note 8 inch is more like the Note 10.1 - meaning it's not designed for telephony use. Probably Sammy's intended response to Apple's new offering.
One of the other shots shows clearly that it has, what looks like, a speaker at the top. Just like a phone. Which doesn't surprise me as much as that there is also a huge bezel. I don't see how a phone call could be made on this.

But really where do we draw the line? Why can't larger sized tablets with cell modems also have the ability to make a phone call. I probably wouldn't use it, but it should be there. I gues there shouldn't be a difference between a tablet and phone. Just Android devices with cell modems that come in different sizes.
Ere...How about.... don't buy it? That's the beauty of Samsung, options.
Shame about the screen resolution. Samsung are becoming pioneers in innovation yet the screen resolution is still low. Either way, I'm going to end up buying it.

Yes, there's also an earpiece up top for making calls, as we saw in yesterday's shots. But that's nothing new -- 7-inch Samsung tablets have been doing that since the original 2010 Galaxy Tab.

Realistically speaking....it is a phablet and not a phone...soooo why is people saying that it's too big? the only problems I hav with the device is 1. the camera should have been 8mp. 2. the design should have been a little more innovative instead of looking like a bigger note -__- and 3. What is up with the pixel density? 189? fuh real? At least 260....Anyway besides all those disadvantages I think It's super awesome and one of the best tablets yet....look past the faults and you'll fall in love *_*
I am thinking for an upgrade for Galaxy Tab Plus and this one should be ideal, but it will be used solely as tablet (not phone or hybrid whatsoever). But I want it to have tablet layout not like Tab 2 7.0 JB.
Interested in hearing impressions of the device as a physical object. Any obvious manufacturing issues so far? In particular, is anyone seeing evidence of the screen-related problems that plagued the previous model -- screen lift, spongy screen, creaky screen?
i exchanged my first one today after i noticed specks of particles under the screen that was very visible. 2nd one is fine though
It is really snappy, feels better in the hands than the last gen. Feels a lot more solid and there are no weird creaks or jiggling parts.. The screen is fantastic looking no issues at all there and the processor is more than fast enough for anything I have thrown at it so far, mostly just games so far.. I can answer questions if you have them, actually have two of the 32gbs and 1 16gb in the house now and none of them have any issues.

Picked mine up yesterday. Very smooth and snappy and fits nicely in my hands. Feels much high quality to me than previous version. No issues what so ever and not seeing any dust under screen. 4.3 doesn't seem much different from 4.2.2. Liking it very much!

Issues thus far after first automatic update during initial boot, didnt update yet the second time after initial boot...
GPS was not working at all no searching icon at top left corner of screen. No gps apps would detect gps... had to follow set of instructions on the web for the same problem with galaxy s3 phones after jellybean update. finally after the tablet decided to make the gps work and download agps data and satellite info, it works every time now and finds the sats..
When using rear camera outside in direct sunlight, pictures/video and the screen in the camera app flickers, even during taking a picture or recording video, only happens when facing the direction of the sun and its the brightest it can be outside, seems like a digital aperture issue with the lens (hardware) or software issue with android 4.3(stock camera app) or a problem with F-stop. Also after awhile of this happening the screen turned green in the camera app and pictures did not come out. had to reload camera app and fix that issue.
So far on my Nexus 7 2013 with the first update but not the second I am having these issues. Fixed the GPS(crossing fingers) do not know whats up with the camera and software but will do a system update to the second update and see if I have the same camera issues... Also will try 3rd party camera software! The 5MP shooter on back does record 1080p video!
Occasionally any kind of audio event will fail to play - I've noticed it on most events such as lock screen locking, and touch sounds. It doesn't seem to affect regular audio playback that I've noticed. I can't reproduce it any specific way but it does happen. I don't know if it's an issue with the sound drivers or OS itself or the device. As I had to exchange my original N7 once for a speaker that started popping within the first few months of ownership, I hope it's not hardware again. I think I'll just unlock it for now before I load too much on it and see how it goes with stock.
+1 for the audio issue I think your talking about! Audio has been fine in everything on my nexus 7 2013 except in bike race older version, I was playing and its like the audio samples would play and not repeat instantly so the bike revving for example audio would turn off while the music played, and or vice versa. So far have not noticed that issue in any other games or software or xiia music player!
I'm so damn glad I'm not the only one with crap under the screen. my first had dead pixels.. my second has a piece of something under the screen that makes it look black, so I can't tell if it's dust or dead pixel.

I think your screen is defective. The black parts are the normal parts. There is a thread somewhere on the forum regarding the problem.

So 2 of my friends have the same tablet and they have the same problem. I also went to the store to exchange it and they let me look at the screen before I choose one and they also have the same problem. So this is something related to alot of the tab s 8.4.

Well. .. yes. I have never seen any problem with the 10.5 one. I'm unsure what to do now since the store you went to have all the same issue.

I'm just gonna stick with it. Until it becomes obsolete. Its only noticeable on greyish screens.
Seems like there's a lot that can go wrong with this screen. Now i'm worried of Burn in on my screen but My brightness is always at 50%
