Connecting problem - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi friends.
First of all, i have read similar threads but nothing changed.
i have Galaxy S4 mini I9190
4.2.2. UBNA1 Turkey Rom and root.
I think i deleted a system file including usb setting.
Now i can't connect pc.
I tried to factory reset, nothing changed, even so, root has gone.
Now:
* i can't flash new rom
* i can't connect to odin
* i can't do wipe data cache
* i can't get root
i changed usb socket (maybe socket is broken) but nothing changed.
i thing that problem is about software.
if i get ROOT, i can edit system file.
Please help.
Thanks.

First re-install samsung usb drivers on ur pc. Then go to dowload mode and flash stock rom. Editing system file should not affect odin connectivity.

No connection in download mode, normal mode, recovery mode.

What recovery do u have? If it is custom like cwm or twrp then you can flash a rom.
But i don't think the system file is responsible for download mode recongition. Try another usb cable and use odin as administrator.
PS :: Can you post a screenshot of the devices section from control panel on your pc??

I am using original stock rom, Not cwm or custom.
I tried another cable and PC.
When connect to PC, PC says "undefined hardware".
Neither connect in download mode, nor normal mode.
When I arrived home, I send screenshot.

If it says undefined hardware then there is something wrong with drivers.
Also it is possible that micro usb port on your device is malfunctioning.
Download and install latest samsung kies. It has latest usb drivers.

I tried that, another PC, another cable, reinstall driver bla bla bla.
There is no way to connect to PC.
We have to install from SD card.

What do u want to install from sd card??
Anyway from the looks of it the microusb port on you device seems to be the culprit.
Better go to samsung service.

[Q] Need some help.

I wanted a fresh start on my SG3, so I formatted my entire phone including the sdcard. Now my phone doesn't have a OS installed and my sdcard doesn't have any rom on it. I thought of just taking my sdcard out and using a sdcard reader to transfer a rom. But I couldn't find my ultra sdcard reader. I found a solution using adb in the "Samsung GS3 Toolkit" to transfer files. But I needed to install the phone drivers, now here's the problem. I can't seem to install the MTP driver without fully booted into android.
Could anyone give me some advice or point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Install samsung Kies on your pc to obtain the drivers. Then boot your phone into download mode and flash a stock image. I have a step by step guide in the general section for this.

You don't need to connect your phone to Kies. Just download Kies to your computer to get the correct drivers onto your computer. After that, use Odin to flash a factory tar image.
Hold Vol Down, home and power to get into download mode.

[Q] i747M stuck in bootloop

Hi all,
I really need some help here with my Samsung Galaxy i747M which i recently wipe/factory data reset and wiped the cache. The phone booted fine after and i went through all the setup steps, then the problem begins. I am unable to see a background then the phone reboots and ends up in a bootloop. I am able to access download mode and recovery mode but my PC is not able to pick up the phone in download mode. I tried switching the usb cables and everything and still nothing.
My question is, is there any way to flash a new firmware via recovery mode or at least a custom rom and/or CWM through recovery mode. I am not able to pick up the phone through Odin.
Please help!!
You mean Odin does not detect the phone when it is connected in download mode? You're running the most up-to-date s3 drivers and Odin 3.07 or 3.09?
What bootloader is on your phone?

Does your phone have a custom recovery? You mean the phone is not listed in Device Manager, Odin, or both?

no the phone does not have a custom recovery, i wanted to know if there is anyway other than odin to flash in a custom recovery using the stock recovery. device manager or odin does not pick up the phone for whatever unknown reason. what can i do??
You can't flash a custom recovery through the stock recovery. The easiest way would have been to do it via Odin.
Are you running a Mac or Windows machine? What OS? Does the phone charge when it's connected to the computer?

You tried a different computer too? Are there any unknown devices in device manager when you connect the phone? You tried all of your USB 2.0 ports? If you did all of this, it's possible the USB port on the phone has malfunctioned.
You could try loading a custom recovery via fastboot.

So there are no unknown devices in device manager on any computer with any USB cables? If that's the case, maybe the phone's USB port is defective.
Yes, ADB/fastboot requires a working USB connection but the drivers are different from when you connect the phone after it has booted to its desktop.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy W Download Mode USB Problem

Hi guys !
I rooted my phone and then tried to setup some roms. But when I try to go in the download mode, it says "Downloading... Do not turn off the target" but on my computer, it cannot recognize the usb. I setup the usb drivers, tried another ports and there is no problem about my usb cable. It works normally, but whenever I go in the download mode, this thing happens and I cant continue to Odin. Does anyone know anything about that ?

You can install it easily if your phone is rooted just
-put the downloaded recovery.img in /mnt/sdcard
-download & install "Terminal Emulator" in play store
-open it then type "su" and click enter
-allow root access..
-then type "dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13" then click enter
-then some text will show in bottom
-exit terminal..
check the recovery by turning off the device then turn on with volume up botton, home button, and power button pressed together..
until "Galaxy W" screen shows up, release the power button only.. then you will enter CWM

What version of windows are you running, it couldn't work on windows 8 and 8.1 so i installed 7 and all the drivers for the phone and it works, i dont have the phone now but i do beleive that will, anyway... if you have bootloop that means you are still able to pass the bootloader screen right?? then try to go to recovery and flash roms from there, having an sd card would help transfering roms from pc directly to phone....

Download mode Windows 8.1 10
To connect your phone in download mode on Windows 8.1 and 10 you need to apply this registry file (in my attached zip file).
Mirror Link
It happens for most old phones.
More Info: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/us...ows-8-0-but-fail-on-windows-8-1-with-code-43/
Also note Odin3 (the one which is used for newer phones) doesn't work for Galaxy W! (Use Odin Multi Downloader.)
--------
Update: It seems that this registry key isn't needed. Make sure to connect the USB cable after downloading... screen appears. If it wasn't recognized try disconnect and reconnecting the USB cable or try other USB ports on PC till it gets recognized.

still doesn't work for me, can you please post the drivers you are using ?
If you see the USB device is not recognized error it's not a driver issue.
Windows automatically downloads the drivers through Windows Update. BTW here are the drivers:

Check out device manager whilst connected via USB in download mode, if there's any devices with yellow symbols it probably means you need the adb drivers found here
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
Then Odin should pick up your tab and your in business, Odin is your way out of this I believe.

Okay show me a screenshot of device manager whilst tablet is connected in download mode, also expand any sub catogeries that contain either your adb device in it or anything with samsung in it if you can...you shouldn't need to play with com ports really, if the adb USB drivers are installed and the adb device shows up in device manager Odin's meant to detect it automatically, also right click on the adb device in device manager and click properties, and go to the section where it shows driver version and screen shot that just so I can verify a couple of things...sounds to me like its not using googles adb driver but can't be sure.

I cannot give you any advice for lollipop as I've never tried it, I only have t805 which its not available for yet, but if I did own a t705 I would definitely take a look at this:

Some people love it, some don't...but it seems feature packed anyway...good luck pal enjoy your working tab.

Samsung Tab S t705 Lte Bootloop

Ok so i have a Samsung Tab s t705 lte and its right now in a bootloop. So I rooted it and flashed twrp. Then i flashed xposed framework. Flash successful but it entered a bootloop. I tried uninstaller but it still remained in the bootloop. Then i restored a nandroid backup but it still is in a bootloop. I tried clearing cache and dalvik Cache and wiped data too. Still a bootloop. Now im trying to flash stock samsung rom ( i got it at sammobile) through Odin 3.09. Ive got the appropriate drivers and everything installed. Only problem is i dont know how im supposed to enable USB debugging when im in a bootloop. If you have any solutions..please let me know.
PS- Its not deodexed nor is the bootloader unlocked. Also, im an adb noob so ill need help with the commands.
Thanks in advance!
You dont need to enable usb debugging or adb. Not sure what makes you think that?
Just install the Samsung USB drivers, put your device in download mode, put the stock firmware in the AP slot of ODIN and hit start.

No the point is that I tried installing the drivers but it said installation failed, please connect device to computer to install successfully. And when i connected my device to the computer, since the drivers werent installed it couldnt recog it. and also, i dont really know much about drivers for samsung. i just downloaded smt i found off google called USB DRIVER FOR SAMSUNG auto installer. Im using a HP laptop, with a intel i5 process, windows 7, radeon graphics card. Thanks
Just download drivers from Samsung website all they do is enable your laptop to communicate with the tab......then download a older version of Oden and a rom that matches your device from update.com there you will also find a how to gide.
