Need testers for ROM...

Hey guys. I finally tried to make a rom with dsiXDA's android kitchen. It wasn't so difficult as I used the cooked rom Creeds ROM by Pratush.Creed - Plz tell me whether its looks have changed or its still the same! [THE REASON NOT TO POST IN DEVELOPMENT FORUM IS BECAUSE I CAN'T TEST IT]
I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE SOMEHOW!!!
It cannot be hard bricked as no custom bootloaders are involved only custom roms. It can maximum soft brick your device which is easily recoverable. I can't test this as the Galaxy Y I have is not my belonging but of my brother. (ELDER)brother to be precise. Testers get credit.
So plz tell me about its looks and the features. If it works I will try to add calculator.

any screens? im interested to test, but what rom is this? it should be in the Development section

would be cool if you wrote something as to which modifications were made.
did you remove bloatware ? special settings ? which languages / CSC in place ?

I have already told you this is made from cooked rom by Creed.Pratyush so most of the things are by him. I can't share screens because I don't own this phone, my brother does. So you have to be the one to tell me. It has everything that creeds rom has. Including SuperUser support.
So you will have to tell me about that....

I tried wiping data, install via CWM by MadTeam and Skin. Same result as above.

Hi,
after years with different versions of Cyanogen I'm so used to it that I'm really a little worried that noone ported it for the Galaxy Fame.
Rooting is easy with motochopper so apps lite Titanium are working but I'm really missing some of the CM goodies.
Or any other ROM that has more customizations available.
Would be great if a coder could go for it

Rooting with the motochopper and installing the clockworkmod recovery goes very smoothly and easily if you follow the instructions. At that stage you at least have the benefits of being rooted such as Titianium Backup and being able to create a clockworkmod recovery.
It is a bit frustrating not being able to find any customer overclock/undervolt kernels and a nice juicy Cyanogen custom rom for it, but hopefully it will come in time.

hi i have been reading all these galaxy fame threads and searching further a-field for any detail too on a new rom, really interested in tweaking one myself but being a newbie im not sure how to get the standard one in zip format to start working with and altering, can anyone help me with that part so then i can start tweaking it a bit to test please?

I rooted my fame with motochopper and it was super easy (rooting it with this automatically installs supersu aswell which is handy), then root checker to test that rooting worked, (i deleted root checker afterwards).
i put on titanium backup which is a very good app, and helps alot, and helps to get rid of unwanted apps and widgets.
i also used pimp my rom which is quite a nifty app, but can cause allsorts of problems if you tweak too much, i did get it running better than normal after changing settings several times.
i couldnt get the clockwork mod stuff working to be honest.

Wow, thats amazing, the first custom rom for our terminal.....corsicanu.......you have my thanks.....i have a question thou.
my terminal is a GT-S6810L, and i wish to test your rom and help you but i heard that if i put a rom not designed for my terminal presicelly, it could brick my phone......so, is that a posibillity....taking out the other usual bricking possibilities?

You can flash cwm from my thread (check latest posts) and make a backup. After that you can give it a try.
I suppose that it works because those terminations are most of region codes or something eg, B for Brasil, L for Latin and P for the nfc version. But the boards are the same...

corsicanu, ok now i can confirm, you rom is compatible with L series, so i done your tutorial, installed CWM, from the right post, and them the costom rom....alas it still a "stock rom", is very stable and very lightweith compared with the provider rom. so, kudos to you, now, is time to test and to help in the case i find a bug......thank you so mutch for this, galaxy fame deeded it so mutch i'll keep in touch when somethin happends.

Yes if you mean about the rom that corsicanu released. I have it. It's working with the s6810p but make sure you download the s6810p variant.

Sorry if there is something missing that I didn't see on any forum already.
But is there a way for me to put a custom ROM on the variant of the GT-I9192 ?!?!
Mostly Cyanogenmod of course... I really don't care about losing the Dual Sim functionality...

Welcome! Cyanogen or any other custom rom is impossible as non existing at the moment..You want a custom rom to be able to do what? Install a theme chooser? If yes, look at Themer at playstore..It might have "beta" in it's name, but it works great. :victory:

It's Mostly about the themes.. the CM themes are absolutely great. as they customise EVERYTHING.
But also wanted a custom ROM for better speed. ease of use ... etc...
I think i've tried themer before...and it wasn't great xD....
I have used Xposed framework..but the sliding brightness thing aint work ....oh well...thanks anyway.. !

Well, I am using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620621 and it's working great, have flashed newest recovery, and together with wanam it's the best I could get so far..

I am not understanding, Why should we push it to system app? what benefit we will have?
It is working very smooth, all the dictionaries are working, swift key working, smilies and emoji working.

See, already you are using the latest version and it is Xperia phone you cannot uninstall the default keyboard without root...
Actually you don't need this keyboard it is already there...

Ha Ha, I am not understanding why you are so mad about it, but you know Xperia keyboard doesn't have T9 keyboard or no more support, now it is called Portrait keyboard!! may be wants that, it is too in your version, enable it....
Settings-Languages and input-Xperia keyboard-portrait keyboard-phonepad....

Introduction ​Thanks to Mr. jackey31 We have a working MIUI and COOLui 6 for our Dazen-1.
But some of us still want more and more choices. So here's my contribution.
A patch which will make necessary modification for porting this particular CM-11 rom for Dazen-1 on your device itself.
ABOUT THE ROM​It is a CM 11 rom, ported by a Chinese developer Hito to F1 plus from a ZTE V5S. Every thing works real smooth. Well as far as I can tell it's a clean Cm-11, and doesn't have any bloatware, and also doesn't include Google apps, So nothing special in it. Well, being CM in itself, is pretty special. All in all, you must give it a try, for atleast once.

What's not working
Apart from FM Radio, I couldn't find anything that's not working.
What's working
Calls incoming/outgoing
Both sims (any sim can be set 4g/3g now).
Camera/ Video recording.
flash/ torch
Wifi and wifi HOtspot.
Bluetooth.
Auto brightness
Audio.
Hardware video decoding
Other sensors
Notification light.
All four CPU cores
Probably everything else
ENOUGH, LET'S START WITH THE REAL THING
Requirements​1- Dazen 1
2- custom recovery(TWRP recommended)
3- F1 plus's CM-11 rom -_- download from http://pan.baidu.com/s/1pJ42zV1
3- Porting-Patch-for-CM-11.zip -_- download from below attachment
4- Google apps/gapps - if you need PlayStore, maps, gmail etc.
How to install:
Place both the downloaded rom and patch in the sdcard
Reboot to recovery/TWRP
Wipe data.
Select Install
Browse to the CM-11 rom and select it
Swipe to confirm the flash
wait till it flashes, then press back and
Browse to the Porting-Patch-for-CM-11.zip and select it
Swipe to again confirm the flash
Browse to the Google apps and select it (optional)
Swipe to again confirm the flash (optional)
Reboot to system and enjoy​

Except for a small hitch.. The download is showing failed for me in cell browser
Update : The problem seemed with default browser, I used Uc browser with translation add on and download is happening now, albeit a little slow

I didn't understand clearly.
If you want to get to mobile network settings, Then go to settings then select "Mobile networks" from there.
If you are saying that you are not getting network signal/Emergency mode,
Then did you wiped data/reset before flashing? If not then do it now.
Because I am not facing such issue as you can also see in above posted pics. I am getting signal and I have also made call and used internet in the above pics.
Also make sure in network setting it's not switched to wrong to mode.

let me know what process did you follow.
Did you wipe data before flashing? do it now, if not done.
or
if that didn't help then try flashing only the patch again.
otherwise tell me exactly what did you do? and what exactly happen.

bro first i widped the data then flashed the rom file and then the patch. before reboot it asks for root the device. after the reboot the device gets stucked on coolpad logo.

Try spirit fm i think fm radio will work

Well, it looks like you didn't flash the rom or the flash of ROM was unsuccessful because it's a prerooted ROM, so TWRP shouldn't ask for rooting the device.
You are using the same ROM, that I posted the link to, are you?
OK, Do one thing, wipe data and then flash only the ROM and reboot, and tell me what happens.

otg support doesn't come from the ROM,its a kernel feature, some one will have to cook a kernel for that to work

Can anyone put up stock rom fm radio apk ? Maybe that could work in this rom
Other than that this rom is working well for daily use. I am loving it

For Dazen every new rom feels great. And this one is no different. Fm radio doesn't work. But it can be used as a daily driver. It's prerooted and I tried Gravity Box and few other modules in Xposed and they were working. Other things, Well, you'll know when you try.

Glad that you like it, and about FM I already tried it and also a few other things but nothing worked, maybe some one else can come up with a solution.

Is there any way to move or install apps in sd card...??
