So I got a Kindle Fire from a yard sale only to find out that the Kindle Fire has been stuck in the kindle fire logo. I then used KFU to boot the tablet up normally and then flashed SuperSU. Then, I decided to flash TWRP and FireFireFire 1.4. FireFireFire has been working correctly, but it won't boot into recovery. I am running 6.0 (can't update as the stock firmware was broken in the first place.) Is there anything I could do now?

I have Hashcode's latest kernel and rom. I have Twrp 2.0 plus fff 1.4. Hashcode's rom included Rom Manager which has CWMR in it but I can't install it because it says I have Kindle Fire. I was wondering if I even need it and if I do how do I install it?

All you need is twrp and fff http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651413
If you have twrp there is no need to installing cwmr. It does the same purpose. I tried installing both a few months ago. I got myself a brick in which I could not get back in to recovery. I did manage to fix it after a couple days. So only install one. I prefer twrp but CWM does the same thing.
You should consider updating the TWRP recovery currently on your device to version 2.1.1. It handles reboots correctly, so it won't leave you stuck in recovery mode like version 2.0.0.
If you are using a custom ROM, you can use smirkit to painlessly upgrade.

I have a kindle fire that wont go into recovery. It will boot into my custom ROM. It worked before but then I tried to downgrade my TWRP from 2.5 to 2.2 so I could restore my kindle to the stock firmwire. It is recognized by the KFU but I cant seem to get the recovery to work again it just says "booting..."
I upgraded to 6.3.3. hoping my kindle fire would stop rebooting and what not since I liked stock ROM too. It didn't stop the rebooting so I opted to just re-flash it to a custom again. I downloaded TWRP 2.2.2.1. I read I have to download FFF from KFU so I figured if I press 5 for "install the latest FFF" it would download and then I would flash my KF using command prompt and the fastboot.exe. I forgot I left my Kindle Fire plugged in in fastboot mode with my fastboot cable when I tried to download FFF. Now I have FFF installed with no recovery. When I plug in my fastboot cable into my kindle it just boots up to FFF and I can't enter fastboot mode now. How do I install recovery. Whenever I am able to unlock my Kindle fire, five seconds later it reboots. Also my computer doesn't see it plugged in anymore when it boots in.
Does kindle show as an android phone in device manager?
If so use adb/fastboot.exe to flash twrp in fff bootloader (it supports fastboot flashing) should be links in my

edit
Oh I was able to install TWRP. When my kindle fire was not being recognized when it boots into FFF I just had to turn it off after it booted into kindle fire ROM, then turn it on again my plugging in the cable and my computer saw it as the kindle fire device and I just had to change the drive to android phone. I have twrp 2.2.2.1 installed now. Thanks I didn't know FFF supported fastboot. I think I know what to do now.
Did you try the boot to recovery option in fff boot menu?

Yes, I was able to boot into recovery and was able to install your pre-rooted 6.3.3. Thank you so much! Its been 10+ mins since I installed your ROM and it hasn't rebooted. I'm finally able to enjoy the stock ROM again! Thanks again.

i don't know if it's a glitch or by design, but KFU sometimes installs both, bootloader and recovery, at same time.

I've tried to flash back to stock with TWRP 2.2.2.1 I believe the version and I flashed the official stock 6.3.2 and everything appeared to go well when I noticed it stayed on that screen for a bit longer than it should and it never booted up properly. The devices is recognized by my PC in the name 'kindle' so ADB drivers are working properly and my device is not bricked completely :silly:
Did you do a factory wipe before install?
No reason to install 6.3.2 anyways, once it connects to wifi it will download and auto install 6.3.3.
Think you will need to flash fff bootloader/twrp and try again, or try my prerooted 6.3.3 zip

Buy a fastboot cable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 post #9
Hi,
I had freedom book 8.4.3, twrp 2.6.3.1 and PAC-man 4.3.Build-1_20131030-162108.
I just tried to upgrade to PAC-man 4.4 nightly-20140927.
The first step is to upgrade to freedom book 8.4.6 and TWRP 2.7.0.0. I used fireflash, put both them in, and choose install scripts (first option). Then reboot.
Now it's stuck withe the blue Kindle Fire logo.
I can get into TWRP recovery. But not sure what I should do next. Can I check if freedom boot is installed correctly? Should I continue to flash the new PAC-man?
Thanks
