What is fire fire fire and what is its purpose
Someone here will have a better answer I'm sure. But as I understand it...fff is the bootloader that allows you to access the custom recovery (CWM & TWRP) that will then allow you apply updates and flash custom roms

OK...so I had a custom ROM installed and recovery and was tryiing to install another ROM to try out. However, I "wiped" the ROM and mistakenly tried to reboot (obviously without an OS) - Now I am stuck in the "booting" screen - Kindle Fire in Blue in the middle - How do I get out of this - A guide/step-by-step would be helpful-Thanks
Enter recovery transfer a new rom and gapps to your sdcard, wipe and flash.

yes so when the blue logo is up hold the power button and go into recovery mode, and flash a rom. if you dont have a rom on the kf you can go into twrp and use the mount feature to transfer a rom from your computer to your kf then flash it
I was able to boot a custom recovery without flashing it on HTC devices using fastboot. Samsung device does not have fastboot but is it possible to boot a recovery without having to flash it? I like to have my devices as stock for OTA updates.
Hi,
I had freedom book 8.4.3, twrp 2.6.3.1 and PAC-man 4.3.Build-1_20131030-162108.
I just tried to upgrade to PAC-man 4.4 nightly-20140927.
The first step is to upgrade to freedom book 8.4.6 and TWRP 2.7.0.0. I used fireflash, put both them in, and choose install scripts (first option). Then reboot.
Now it's stuck withe the blue Kindle Fire logo.
I can get into TWRP recovery. But not sure what I should do next. Can I check if freedom boot is installed correctly? Should I continue to flash the new PAC-man?
Thanks
Why do I need to install a custom recovery image before I can install a custom rom?
It's not possible to install a custom rom using "adb sideload"?
