i have recently bought the note 2 from att. i am looking to root my device, i have been reading up and the roms i have seen dont really seem to change much from the stock version minus a few here and there. also, i read that cm 10 disables the use of the stylus with is a bummer. as i was looking forward to it. as i had cm 9 on my last htc smartphone. my question is, from experience, which is the best rom to use without disabling any of my stock abilities? and where can i download this rom to my computer. thanks.

Hey guys am new to the galaxy note 2 lte I had mine about 2 weeks now ive rooted an out custom roms on plentybof ohone before an thinkbit is a must do becoz ubget so cool benifits from it I was just wondering what benifits would ibget from custom roms on the note 2 lte and is there any features thatvibwould lose like the s pen feature or somthing

I just wondered what a custom rom on the note 2 lte has that a stock rom dosnt and ive had phone before like the optimus 3d and xperia play where when u flash a rom u lose feature like 3d on the optimus and the playstation features on the xperia play I wondered if I wouldnt be able use any of the notes features

If you don't want to lose any of Samsung futures keep Away from aosp and aokp roms

kernel : testing
modem : XXDLK7
recovery : TWRP
Use touchwiz based ROMs, stay away from AOSP and AOKP if you want Samsung features like S Note and other stuff.
Use any 4.1.2 (i.e. touchwiz) ROMs and you should be fine with S features.

Hello. I am using galaxy note 2 N7100 on 4.3 ditto note 3 rom. Is there amy way to increase the download speed in note 2 through some app or some xposed module? I have tried using internet speed master which requires root but haven't found much of a difference. Thanx.

Alright guys , hello there. Recently we saw the release of KitKat ROM for note 3 on Sammobile (I guess its for Poland only right now), so a question came into my mind. Can we port note 3 Roms to work on Note 2? That will be great because then we can get touchWhiz working on note 2 with android 4.4.2. Any ideas if this is possible ?

Thank you for the reply , appreciated . but I am trying to figure put if its possible to get 4.4.2 KitKat on Note 2 with touchwhiz. Which I though would be possible by porting Note 3 KitKat ROM to note 2 ( because I don't think Samsung will launch KitKat for note 2)

Flashing other device's rom(s) could damage Ur phone, you can wait a bit and many of the Touchwiz roms will upgrade to 4.4.2 very soon.

Relax bro,We are sure to recieve that KitKat taste wrapped by the Samsung UI,but in late April(if Sammy doesnt delay )
And ya the 3 custom roms posted are awesome,but whether they claim a good battery life and stability(daily use),
they are in comparision to othr custom roms..So,experience is that most ppl land up flashing StockRom at end..so better stick to Stock!& enjoy just a rooted phone,Titanium Backup,Rom Toolbox,Xposed,Greenify,LMTetc..

Samsung have already said the note 2 will get android version 5 so we will get kit kat plus another update after that. AFAIK to port the 4.4.2 twizz rom we would need a 4.4.2 stock kernel for our device so until the 4.4.2 Samsung source code is released it can't be ported. But I stand to be corrected by more experienced devs

Im using DN3 and its buttery smooth + amazing battery life, please note that I have 3G open 24/7, may not be the best battery life, but it really satisfied me (12 hours with 6 hours on screen and still have 15% charge)

Yes it's possible but:
1) It will need a kernel that can boot 4.4.2 TW on our device.
2) Tons of changes in framework.
Possibly no one would attempt that.
I'm certain to a lot extent that we will get Sammy Kitkat (official or leaked ) soon
