I have upgraded my LG G3 to Android 5.0.1 (Verizon 23b). Now after reconnecting it to 2014 Civic SI - Hondalink Nextgen, texts sent from me to other people popup like new messages from me on Hondalink. Before I did not get sent messages on Hondalink only received from other people, like i want.
Happens when texts sent by Google messenger from phone, car reply and Moto360.
Any clues to stop hondalink from poping up sent texts as new?

Hello,
Wondering if anyone can help shed some light on this issue. I connect my ATT Note 2 via Bluetooth to the handsfree system in my car (2013 Dodge which uses UConnect system). I've seen people having issues getting this setup to work, but mine worked very well right from the get go. Phone control, bluetooth music streaming and SMS all worked well with voice control.
However, just this week, it appears I got an update "pushed" to the phone for ATT's message app. I didn't like the fact that it was pushed onto the phone, caused far too many notifications of incoming texts and was causing duplicate messages with the stock message app. So, I uninstalled the update and disabled the app. This appeared to get me back to the stock messaging app as everything was before. Except for one strange side-effect. Now, when I'm connected to my hands free system in the car via bluetooth and get an incoming text, the system cannot announce the name of the sender anymore. It was working fine. Now the system just says "No Number Available". The frustrating thing is it was working well and then developed this issue with the only thing I know changing was the ATT message app debacle in the middle.
Does anyone have a clue as to why the handsfree system cannot resolve the incoming sender name anymore and announce it as it did before? The handsfree system has access to contacts and the people sender texts are in my contact list. I can actually send texts fine hands free.
I've tried phone re-boots, re-pairing and few others things. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Can I ask what Rom you are using? I also have 2012 Chrysler that has U connect. I have never been able to get it to do the SMS.

Anyone else experiencing a delay when receiving text messages from the Verizon Messages app on your Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi? It works fine for a few minutes, but then I stop receiving notifications and will not receive again until I open the app (or bring the app to the foreground) and then I will get a number of texts in a row almost as if I was not connected to Wifi for a bit, but I was. Can't figure out if this is just an issue with the app's compatibility with Kit Kat or what, but this did not happen on my first-gen Nexus 7. I'm running stock rooted 4.4 KRT16S.
I just purchased the Moto 360 and upgraded to the latest 4.4W.2 software update. According to the Android Wear help forum when I receive a text message notification (my text messages come through Google Hangouts using my Google Voice number), in addition to the text just received, I should be able to view the last 20 messages with that person by swiping right to left. I am unable to do this. When I swipe LEFT (not right, as this dismisses the notification), I can see older messages I had with that person, but random ones, with messages missing in between (and also not 20, only a few). Furthermore, if I get multiple text messages from the same person, I can only view the last one sent by that person as any previous notification card is automatically dismissed!
Also, another issue I have is when I get missed call notifications, if I have more than one missed call, I cannot see who the missed calls are from! Only when I have one missed call notification can I see who the caller was. Is this also a bug, or is this just the feature that is available currently for Android Wear with Moto 360?
I am paired to a Samsung Galaxy S4 I337 (AT&T) that has been unlocked and then manually upgraded to Android 4.3.
I'm just wondering if others have these issues, and/or if this is solved with a software upgrade, or if my watch is somehow defective where I should take it back to Best Buy.
Thanks ahead of time for any help/advice.
Regards,
Saadat
We have two moto 360s. On one of them it seems to be impossible to actually read received text messages if you receive more than one text from the same person.
Instead of displaying the text of the messages, the notification on the watch will just say the sender's name and "2 text messages received" with no apparent way to view the messages. If you catch the notification when only one text has been received, you can read the single text just fine.
On the other moto 360, it just displays all of the received texts, and doesn't summarize them with a count. That is, you can just keep scrolling down and can read all of the texts in a big list.
The watch having the problem is running 5.01 android wear connected to a Note 4 with android 4.4.4.
The watch that lets you actually read the text messages is running 4.4W.2 android wear and is connected to a Note 3 with android 4.4.2.
Anyone have any ideas? Is this something that just works better on the older software? Not being able to actually read the text messages on the moto 360 breaks one of the major functions of the device!

If you use googles messenger (not messaging, its the new one made for lollipop but works on 4.4) then one of the tabs is a full conversation list.
If you need the app I can provide you with links and/or instructions

Since I've had my LG g4, I've constantly had problems receiving and sending texts. I've used the stock messaging+ app that comes with Verizon phones, handcent, go sms, textra, chomp SMS, evolve SMS, and a handful of other standard SMS apps.
Every single one of them has both a huge delay in sending and receiving texts. Everything except the stock Verizon messaging app has people receiving multiple texts from me hours, even days later.
My wife continues to get my texts I've replied to the night before the next day, and even 2 days later. Often the same text repeated multiple times at different time periods. At first i thought it was only iPhone users, but i realized i have the same problem with Android users, even those that i know have Verizon, like my boss, CO worker and mom. All of my texts to and from them are delayed. The only issue i don't have is with WhatsApp, or a text service that had its own server and texting system other than the standard sms.
Has anyone else experienced this, or know what the issue may be, with a fix for it? I'm actually considering going to either sprint or t-mobile because it's become a huge problem.
