I try ULBL my phone, but when I'm in step:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY
it show "Failed because Phone is already unlocked".
But I check in Service Menu, it said: Unlock Bootloader Allow: Yes
(not Unlock Bootloader: Yes)
So, is my phone still locked or already unlocked?

Hello, I'm actually S-ON and I need to apply the firmware update of Mike thread. I was bootloader unlock but to update the firmware I had to relock the bootloader. Now I have to unlock it again, do I have to request again the Unlock.bin file from htcdev or is there some fastboot code?
Either just use the same bin code and fastboot command you used before; or just go through HTCDev.com and request a new code. Either way should work, although some folks have not had luck using the same code, and had to get a new one. While I think others have used the same code again and again.

You just need to unlock your bootloader again. What exactly isn't working? If you still have the Unlockcode.bin file, just type this into fastboot "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin". If not just follow the original root guide up to where you unlock it.
I'm selling my HTC 10 which I debranded and converted to the US model (after unlocking the bootloader and obtaining s-off).
I want to sell it with the US ROM on it, but need to remove the red warning text on the boot screen.
I incorrectly assumed that this was caused by having an unlocked bootloader, however locking the bootloader hasn't removed this. Do I need to s-on to remove the text? I tried "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3", but it failed. Is this because I relocked the bootloader?
Do I need to unlock it again, run fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 and then relock it?
i remove that Red text flashing a run.exe and I was S-OFF/LOCKED.
Fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" don't relock bootloader. This command is for change to S-ON

I know fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 doesn't relock the bootloader. I'd already locked the bootloader with fastboot oem lock.
Run.exe?

I ran the latest US RUU.exe and it wiped the phone, but didn't remove the red warning text.
Is the red warning text caused by having s-off?
I'm assuming that I don't need to return the phone to its original CID and MID in order to remove the red text.
Edit: I might try changing the MID back to the original, as another thread indicated that that can cause the problem.

You will probably need to flash original software on it.

I've fixed it by flashing the WWE version.
Hello,
I recently got my hands on a one m9 and noticed that it came s-off in box. I have done the super-cid process but I'm wondering what is the best way to achieve TWRP and subsequently root. I cannot unlock the bootloader using htcdev because it's the verizon variety and has the oem unlocking option removed(ver. 3.37.605.15).
(fastboot oem get_identifier_token gives: )
Code:
INFO[KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
INFO[KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
INFO[KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!
OKAY
From my understanding, this means I can only flash another ruu and it would have to be one that will gives me oem unlocking and from there I could unlock the bootloader with htcdev and flash twrp, supersu, etc.
Is this correct? Or is there another way to go about this?
What ruu should I use? Can it be from any carrier?
Thanks in advance.

I managed to flash TWRP via fastboot and unlocked the bootloader using info in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...lock-bootloader-htcdevs-t3092036/post69028485, I used the terminal in TWRP for root.
