To fix this, try reseting the phone using recovery. If this does not help, try downgrading to another custom rom. You know, 4pda members write about unstable work of Kitkat custom roms. Try installing JellyBean roms on your device.

Yes that is the right guide to do a perm Root. Also what rom version is the Desire Z on? If it's on the 1.72 or 1.82 you will have to downgrade to 1.34 before you can root.
ROOT USING THIS GUIDE
If your on 1.72 or 1.82 DOWNGRADE USING THIS GUIDE.This downgrade will work for the 1.82 version, even though its for the 1.72
thank you guys for all your help I did it
Now the only thing is to choose very stable and working rom ?
Could you recommend any?
Thank you

For me stability is important, so is minimizing the number of times I have to wipe my device. So I avoid pre-release ROMs including RC's so I'm running the stock rooted ROM right now but anticipate moving to CM7 as soon as it's released and verified as stable.

maybe trying an antivirus from the market.... but i don´t believe that the problem be a virus
it´s so strange.. because this icons are ""com.htc.resources.apk"" needed only for that the system do a good work.. you are experimenting problems with some aplications? or with the android environment?
few time ago i had this problem but solved it re-flashing my custom rom....
you don´t want to consideer obtain root access in your device and flash another ROM?(or re-flash THE same ROM but rooted)
MAYBE when your phone was actuallized his firmware via OTA something went out badly...
see you soon and sorry for my poor english

Thanks a lot for your support,
i've not experimenting on android system.
The problem was born with froyo and after the update to 2.3 still remain.
I want to try to root the phone now, and reinstall the official HTC Gingerbread Android 2.3 rom, but i think that after the root the phone come back to the Android 2.2 rom that's the rom was in origin. Is it true? In this case, can I request another time the OTA update to 2.3?

if you root your device only obtains root access... your device not returns automatically to froyo you have to do it manually BEFORE for can use VISIONARY R14 (app for obtain root access)...
but for root your device i recommend to you that read the DHD android development forum"
1- browse how to downgrade your DHD
2-THEN HOW TO ROOT YOUR DHD, do h-off eng-off & cid 1111 (those thinks are in an only one post..
h-off & s-off neccesary for flash radios... etc..
3-browse how to install CLOCKWORKMOD recovery menu from ROM MANAGER.apk
4-finally select your prefered rom (kernel...radio base band...themes... all that you desire ) from dev. forum
If you have doubts about those things post here if you want and I help you mate!

Hi Swarnava, I just rooted using AAHK2 by Phiber2000, it was a piece of cake!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2367322
I'm still looking at what to do next, but followed advice in the same thread to install the TWRP recovery. This seems easy to use and i'm about to install my first ROM. Wish me luck, eh?!

Follow this thread.
And why install CM7 when you can Install CM11 ?
Hi,
Greetings to all,I have been trying to get my hands dirty (learn a thing or two on ROM development) for a very very long time but never had the courage to take the plunge !
Finally I have decided to do it albeit a safer way,I have tried to port latest LEWAOS to Arc using the porting tool by Abinav2. I also tried others but kept getting one or the other errors.
Have taken the CM10 Nightly and the latest Lewa OS5 for the job and the result was successful to a large extent, The ROM installs fine but won't go past initial boot logo,There is no Boot Loop ! Its simply stuck at starting logo.
Have tried multiple kernels and tried to redo the ROM many times but no joy,One more interesting thing I noticed is in Lewa there is no init.d in etc folder,so how does one deal with it ??
So I finally decided to post it here to ask for some guidance and to check whether someone can actually boot into it.
Here's the ROM LewaXperia
PS: This is my first post on development front so please be gentle and Mods if this is not okay than please do let me know before you take any actions or suggest the right thing to do.
Regards.
Hi,
Guys can anyone please reply ? Did anyone of you try it ?? Results ??
Regards.

Thanks a lot for the help !! I really Am trying to make it work,But its just not happening.
I tried to change bootclasspath as suggested by you but there is no init.rc in both the ROM's !! So what Am I supposed to do now ? In the extracted folder there is sbin (folder),logo.rle and init,Thats all there are no other file or folder like your video shows.

Yes me too, we have got a same problem
Make sure that your HTC is rooted.
If it isn't rooted, i highly recommend using iRoot.
The link to iRoot is irootapk(dot)com
I used this on my HTC Wildfire S.
