Hello. My G3 has a really annoying and serious issue. It simply is turning off at random moments and booting into a boot loop. Say I am typing a text or watching a video, BOOM. It shuts off, as soon as it's off it boots back up into the FIRST lg boot screen (before the animated boot logo on any rom) if I am lucky it gets past this and into the animated screen. But usually it boots into this screen, shuts off, boots into this screen, shuts off about 16 times before, maybe, just maybe booting up. But it qill even shut off on the animated screen too. It sometimes takes a good 15 minutes to get it to finally boot. (Almost like a car not starting). I have tried multiple wipes and reflashes of the stock KDZ. Nothing is fixing it. I am certain it is a hardware issue, but more specifically the battery. Any input? Thanks!
Here is a video to show what I am explaining, it can happen anywhere at any time.

Certainly does sound like hardware issue if after flashing stock kdz and doing the necessary wipes, out of curiosity does your phone get very hot at all. I mean it could possibly be the battery, have you noticed it draining very quickly or not charging correctly?

Nope. Battery life is as it always has been and the phone isn't overheating. I am very confused haha

Forgot to mention. Every time this happens, the lock screen wallpaper gets reset to stock. Seems like some kind of forced power cycle which ends up wiping data.

I've been having some troubles with my Optimus g. For starters, today it's been awfully laggy. On top of that its been freezing and booting into a yellow HW error screen. And when it's been freezing it sometimes just makes the screen freak out and get all scan lined. Now my phone won't boot. It appears it won't even charge. I have it plugged in and it does nothing. The most I can make it do right now is if I hold the power button while its plugged in, after about 20 seconds the red led will start flashing. Doesn't do anything past that. Is there any thing I can do to save this phone??

Try what's listed in this thread about dead batteries. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43983721
If you have Twrp installed, try and flash a stock ROM.

I run a M.O.A.R. stock 4.2 rom on my Sprint GS3 SPH-L710 (that is out of warranty). Yesterday, I was scrolling through facebook when my phone spontaneously rebooted. It didn't lag, or slow, or start to not respond. I was scrolling through my feed, and suddenly it was going through the boot screens. Except it wasn't just a reboot, it went into a boot loop.
I let it reboot maybe four or five times before pulling the battery. After a few minutes, I started it up again and it was fine. It operated normally for the next couple of hours until I felt it vibrate in my pocket, and when I pulled it out I found it had went into a boot loop again. Once again, I pulled the battery.
But this time, the phone wouldn't power up. I couldn't get it to power up, go into recovery mode, download, anything. Every button combination I tried produced no response. I tried using a different battery, didn't work. I tried charging my phone for a few hours (even though my phone was >75% when this happened) and even the battery indicator screen didn't show when I pressed the home button.
I searched for possible fixes, but I couldn't find any post or thread that was similar enough to the situation I'm in. I'm 99% sure it's not Sudden Death Syndrome, and that's about all I've found.
Anyway, I need help. What can I do (if anything) to make my phone work again?

Sounds like SDS, HERES a solution, or if your comfortable soldering, HERE
Follow this guide with the unbrick image pitched in the OP:

It was my understanding about SDS (and please, by all means correct me if I'm wrong) that a) it only affected phones with firmware below 4.1.2 (and that 4.1.2 and 4.2 had a patch to fix SDS) and b) and it only affected international models, i.e. i9300.
First off, I'd like to start by saying that my phone is NOT ROOTED, and I did nothing to cause this (that I'm aware of).
I was in the middle of using my phone (browsing Facebook) when it restarted on me, so I turned it back on, and after I sat it down, it shut down. So naturally, I plugged it into the charger, thinking it was just low battery, and after some time, I couldn't power it back on without getting stuck on the LG screen. Most of the time, it doesn't even recognize that the charger is even plugged in, but when the battery screen appears, it jumps from 100% to 45%, to 0%, etc.
I've tried different chargers and outlets, I'm not sure if it's an internal problem or the battery, but I don't really want to invest in a new battery until I'm sure that's the problem.
The furthest I've got with this is past the LG logo and to my lock screen, which immediately shuts the phone down when I try to unlock it. I've tried doing a factory reset, which doesn't do anything either.
Please, tell me there's some way I can fix this myself! This phone is less than a year old and was a present from my husband, who will kill me if he finds out about this...
I've made a video of my problem, please excuse the background noise, but if you listen closely, you can hear a strange squeaky sound a couple of times after the screen goes blank. I'm unsure what that's about, but it's just started doing that.
Please help!

It sounds like you have soft bricked your phone. You can try flashing the original stock Rom. Every things that you need are here in the xda forum for download (look at the topic below yours by madmack, "fix the soft bricks, flashing back to the stock LGflashingtool") The flashing instruction should be with the tools.
Boots to logo animation, freezes & the speaker makes a harsh hiss for .5 sec then off
Hi guys,
I've had no problems with my LG G3 since I got it.
I'm running stock 4.2.2 Kitkat, unlocked, bought from a retail store in Sydney (JB HiFi).
No rooting or anything else done to it.
My battery hasn't had any issues, still easily lasts the whole day.
The issue:
Today I pressed send on an SMS, the system froze for a few seconds, then powered off.
Pressing the power button did not turn it back on, so I pulled and replaced the battery and powered it on.
It starts booting, gets to the LG animation screen, it animation continues for a while, then freezes for a second and makes a loud/harsh hiss from the speaker for .5 sec then powers off.
Every time after it powers off I have to pull and replace the battery before I can power it back up
No water contact etc
What I've tried:
I've pulled the battery and left it out for 1/2 hour, then replaced the battery and powered it on, same issue dureing boot up
I've confirmed my battery is fully charged, and have tried powering it on while on battery
Removed the Micro SD card and tried to boot again, same boot issue
I've tried a factory reset, it starts to do the reset and then the same issue during boot up happens
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Update
So further to my original post:
After I left it off for about 5 hours I powered it back on and was able to complete the factory reset and boot into the Android OS and start using it again, after about 20 mins it froze up again and powered off
I took it to a phone repair shop and they advised they didn't think there was anything wrong with the hardware but was likely a LG OS software issue
Oh, and I should have posted 4.4.2 for the OS, not 4.2.2. Is Kitkat.
I'm wondering if I were to use LG software to update the OS to Android 5 if that might help? Or may make things worse...?
Upgrade didn't complete
So I tried to run the update through the LG software.
Got about 50% through and then the phone powered off again.
Subsequent retries don't even get that far, they get to about 2% and then the phone powers off.
Surely this is a hardware issue?
Ok, well, I've put it in for service...
Hi, so a week ago I had this weird problem with my phone. It would just freeze for like 2 minutes, work again for a minute and so on.
Did a hard reset, same problem.
Flashed that 6.0 KDZ, no success. The phone started but I was basically stuck at the lock screen, touchscreen was unresponsive, power menu kept showing up for no reason... couldn't even turn the phone off.
After that, I decided to stop ****ing around with it and send it to a repair store (no warranty). Today, after about 5 days, I picked it up and was told that they tried a ton of ROMs but they have no idea what's wrong with it.
Got home, ran a hard reset again and now I can't even get to the lock screen, phone is basically in a boot loop. LG logo shows up, the "Android is starting... Optimising apps" screen does its thing, restarts and keeps going like this forever.
Is there anything I can do or should I just throw the phone in the garbage and get another one? Any suggestion is appreciated, thanks!
Hi,
Same issue for 2 days...
My G3 was suddently slow and unresponsive so I removed the battery.
I put it back again, as usual, and start the phone. But it get stuck at the LG logo.
Sometimes the animated LG logo shows up, sometimes not.
Sometimes it displays the PIN screen (unresponsive or not), sometimes not.
Sometimes it boots totaly normaly (1% of time) and become unresponsive/buggy after a couple of minutes.
I tried flashing kdz (normal and CSE) 10 times, factory reset, change battery, without success...
Good luck.
