I have a custom rom on my tablet CyanogemMod and I just got a shared data sim from optus
Trouble is the data is not working
I have rung optus and they see it connecting to their network but I do not get any 3g/4G symbol and the internet is not working
Have gone through the steps with optus phone support in creating a new APN etc
Could there be something up with my custom rom?
If anyone can help id appreciate it
or id love to try to revert back to the original rom, I think I tried this once but it did not work
Bought the tablet from Kogan, so it had chinese language when I got it, would I need a chinese rom version ? ( sorry still learning about this )

What cm? official cm11 or unofficial cm12? if unofficial cm12 its no wonder if the list of apns still not updated

This is my story. I recently brought dis Defy and till date i was using a standby SIM (DOCOMO) in the fone as i was waiting my reliance number to be ported and den finally use Defy with Vodafone.
In the meanwhile, i rooted my fone n had installed Pays-ROM Defy v5.1 Froyo with Ginger feeling [3.4.3-11 based!]. everything was great and i was really enjoying the modded firmware.. Now, today, when i inserted Vodafone sim, i realise, that my fone is unable to catch vodafone's network. it remains on "Emergency calls only" mode while the fone just besides gets full Vodafone's network. However, if i insert back DOCOMO sim, it gives me proper network. I tried to make a manual search on network and it doesnt even display Vodafone and Relicance network. I can bet that i cld see reliance network on defy before i modded the firmware.
I tried to search in forums but I got multiple issues like sim slot being big or modded rom problem or network frequency issue etc.
If at all this is the ROM problem, is thr a way, we can further mod the ROM so i can use VOdafone or i wld hv to go back to the stock rom?? if yrs, then hw is it possible to move from PAYS to stock rom??

It is certainly the base band problem. you can change your base band corresponding with your mobile provider.

hey priyansh.. another problem.. i am running cm7.. and if u are aware clockwork recovery has been updated to 3.00.x now dis update of clockwork is not allowing to install rhe 3g fix update as it is coded in sum old code i guess.. refer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=897026&page=1 for more info on that..
so can u convert it to d new one or an u suggest an alternate way to install d update??
So i flashed alot of roms latley none of them did this but after i flashed LightSense my phone sim wont work i mean it is looking for carriers and if i set it to manualy it does found them but i wont connect and my phone seems to be italian as default even the build.prop is HTC DEZIRE-ITA
I want it back at its initial state english as default and my country ROMANIA baseband please help me
I have MIUI v4 on my wfs everything works great but i can not connect to the internet through my mobile network. The point is i can not connect to the nework through the mobile network whenever i use a rom for ICS or JB only works with gingerbread what should i do?

Hello all,
Its a personal clarification with you experts.
I had bought my WFS in INDIA ( which had Indian RUU 2.13.720.1 ) , Then I moved to France, and rooted my phone with European RUU., 2.13.401.3. as you know both have different radio versions.
And I opted for then's CM7 . and used for about 8 months - with no problem at all. now in Feb 2013, I returned to India and had some free time so explored all the other CM based ROMS.
And the problem started then..
Specially with CM 9 and +... I am having only data connectivity issues, rest all its flawless even GSM calls are very good..But Every 2-3 mins data gets "hanged", is it because I have wrong radio version ? Or is it in ROM?
Since I am traveler mobile-data is very important for me. and in ur latest rom I haven't seen anyone pointing to data problem.
So I am curious to know whether its only me who is facing this problem or is it generic. ?

My HTC just came back fresh from repair and decided to install Lineage OS and the latest GApps as fast as possible.. Phone works great, but I don't have any signal even thou my SIM is there... I have Vodafone in Spain, please help!
So I started tinkering around with the phone... So It's not the network that it's not working, it's actually the LTE.. I do get 3G+ but every time I enable LTE it's a no go... Please help!
Check Vodafone APN for LTE and compare with the ones included by default in lineage

I basically returned to stock and reflashed LOS, seemed to have fix the problem. Now I'm looking to fix the Model name which for some reason defaulted to MSM8996 for ARM64 instead of HTC 10

He has some galaxy G960F/G965F and they are branded with a carrier Telstra Air and we would like a STOCK Rom to flash on phones to remove all traces of that Carrier info. Not looking for custom Rooted Rom, because he would like to be able to update the phones when a new software update comes out.
I have tried everything with NO Luck, and I'm sure one of your developers know how to do this. What firmware are you on as far as I know tesltra air is just an app to automatically connect to free wi-fi on Telstra networks.
Are the phones network locked ie: can you put in another Sim from a different carrier like Optus or Vodafone.
What have you actually tried to do

(search on google and download it via sammobile , there is no bloatware and you can get the updates without a problem (with that one most of the time y get the security patch faster but you may loose some features)
or that G960FXXS3CSD2 it may take a few days more to get the update (based on my usage)

No the network is open I tried another sim from the USA: Tmobile, ATT, Verizon and Metropcs. Im on G960FXXU2CSC8 firmware version and I just upgrade to G960FOXM3CSD1.
Ok fellas I figured it out I follow the instructions from this thread:

and I was able to change the CSC to OXM then I flash a rom from United Arab Emirates and all carrier info was gone and phone works perfect. Special thanks to those guys from the thread it really works!! Thank you Thank you guys and for all who replied and where willing to help. If anyone need help with this same situation contact me I can help
