Hi everyone, I have a Galaxy S III SGH I747M, originally with Koodo and was locked.
Now I unlocked the phone, because I live in Panama and needed for a Panamenan Sim card, have been working for a week and now refuse to work in 3g or LTE.
I have Installed many different Rom from CYanogen to Kitkat for testing, and atm Im with a 4.4.4. custom cyanogen, ka 11-20150301 Nightly d2lte.
I really cant understand the reason why the data doesnt work, I checked the APN and are the correct one.
I was wondering if someone have never had a similar problem with the same phone and Im opened to suggestions.
Thx a lot in advance.

Damn frikken Kies is creating me problems.....
Do you think that this is the problem and updating firmware it will fix it?
I honestly don't know if it will make a difference. I have no idea why it would suddenly stop working on 3g or LTE after a week of working.

Hey folks I found this update to 4.1.2 on a site, it says that it can be done with a network unlocked s3. I'm using a t999 right now, will this brick the phone if I flash through odin? I unlocked my phone through the service choose I found on here a while back, here's the link:
http://androidadvices.com/xxellc-galaxy-s-3-jellybean-4-1-2-firmware/
Let me know if this is safe? Or you decide can compile it for us carriers? Thanks

Are there any stock kitkat rom for the Straight Talk S3? They don't want to update their phones because they don't found it necessary (The words they use). The phone is the SCH-S960L variant from Straight Talk. Baseband S960LWYAMD6.

Well after so much search the firmware havent got released yet. So I decided to go with Cyanogenmod but the d2spr file is not fully compatible with the d2tfspr wish is the ID of this phone. As far I know this phone is the variant of the L710.
I am also very interested in an answer to this question. I have a Samsung Galaxy S III model SCH-S960L I purchased through Straight Talk. I was very disappointed to find this model has a built in SIM and could not be ported to another provider. I have also been extremely frustrated that I cannot update Android on this device. Despite what the idiots at Straight Talk say, there are many issues with Android 4.1.2 which comes on this device. I definitely want to find a way to upgrade to Android 4.4 if possible.

maybe a temporary fix would be to use an app to switch. here is a link to one that says is compatible with the S3.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2945406
when @audit13 replies , i'm sure he will have a better/REAL fix.
good luck.

This widget only works on Lollipop version. I am using kit kat 4.4.2 version.
Is there any way to edit the coding of the rom to achieve this functionality?
Give me some other ways to fix this issue.

Hi all!
Forgive me as I am new to the Galaxy s3 here. I researched as much as possible but could not find any info (at least none I comprehend) on my issue. I own a T999L Galaxy s3 and just flashed Red Dragon to my phone. Flashed clean without issues using CWM and everything works great. My only issue is, I have no data, only mobile network and wifi. I've read several things about not going to a previous modem so I'm scared to do so without advice first. I am currently on Baseband Version: T999LUVUBNC1 however, my build number is KOT49H.I747UCUFNE4, is this the issue. I flashed the T999LUVUBNC1 tar to obtain root originally. Any help is appreciated!

Pretty sure this is the Q&A section for the T999 editions of the S3's am I wrong? Regardless, the issue was a tower in my area, not the phone.

You shouldn't have any problem... All Hardware is the same between both units and I have run Roms for AT&T and non-AT&T, CM, Slim, and stock (TW)... all Roms were compatible. Right now my SGH-I467M is showing as a GT-N5120, running 4.4.2 on CivZ Flexburst KK... Only difference may be the modem, which might be more region specific for CSC.
