Yeah that's all you can get with the Verizon model. Verizon uses a lte frequency than the gsm carriers.

This phone only supports GSM HSPA (3G for GSM) of 900/2100... Please check the FAQ
AT&T only supports 850/1900 which is why you cannot connect to 3G.

[TIP][Answer] HTC One V GSM and T-Mobile Data Networks

HTC One V GSM edition (US Cellular, Virgin Mobile) does not have the right frequencies for T-Mobile / SIMple Mobile 3G service. I have used T-Moible and SIMple Mobile SIM with GSM phone any only get Edge speeds and network.
T-Mobile officially states that 3G/4G, for the frequencies support on this phone, will be rolled out in America starting in the fall.

The unlocked GSM version could be used on Tmo USA. The US cellular and VM version cannot, as that version is CDMA and carrier locked.

sorry! Yes! GSM version of phone can work on T-Mobile, but do not expect 3G service as of now.

3g AWS (1700) on HTC One

Any one with a ATT or Verizon Htc one tried their T-Mobile sim card and able to get 3g on T-Mobile? Not the refarmed 1900 but AWS 1700 on WCDMA/UMTS. Not LTE either.
Thanks

According to reports and specs those models don't have WCDMA AWS just like last years model. I can't believe HTC can't release a single GSM model with all the radios like Nexus 5 or iPhone 5s. I don't know what's wrong with them, it will be easier for them only to have one model.

[q] Developer or Unlocked M8 doesn't have the 700mhz AT&T LTE bands.

Has anyone bought either one? I just talked to Htc and it doesn't have those bands. Only 1700mhz

I believe the developer edition is essentially the AT&T version of the M8 just unbranded of course, the Google Play edition is missing one of AT&T's LTE bands I believe. I could be wrong.

Dev and standard unlocked are unbranded AT&T. Scroll down the page to see the chart. From wikipedia, 700mhz is band 17 so they should both be able to access LTE on 700mhz.
GPE has 1700mhz(AWS) for 3G while dev doesn't.

Can and Unlocked AT&T M7 work with Verizon 4G?

There is a guy on Ebay selling an AT&T Unlocked phone stating that it will work on Verizon. I didn't think it was possible (hoping it is as I love the Black Color!)
Thanks for any clarification on this-

"AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps"
That is from HTC's site directly on what GSM bands the AT&T variant can do. It doesn't say it can do CDMA, so I think it is safe to say it will not work on Verizon.
LTE the site states AT&T can do 700mhz AWS only which isn't the 700mhz band 13 Verizon uses.

Got a HTC One M8 from T-Mobile, now lte support for AT&T

Hi everyone, I just bought a HTC One M8 from Ebay that is unlocked from T-Mobile and that cost be $169. Do you guys think this was a good deal? All that aside, I want to use that phone on Cricket that basically uses AT&T bands. I see that the lte bands for HTC One M8 only supports 4,17 while AT&T used 2,4,5,17. I know that Oneplus One had the same problem with not having lte bands 2 and 5 but people had it working for AT&T lte. Just wanted to know is there anyway to unlock the bands 2, 5 for AT&T full lte bands? Thank you.
