Hi, I'm having a problem with my new HTC6500LVW from Verizon.
Almost everything works good, except for the 4G/3G connection. I'm in México and my service is provided by Telcel, they use the band AWS-1 (1700Mhz upload and 2100Mhz download) for LTE, but the problem is that I found that Verizon use 700Mhz band to provide this 4G service.
I' have already configure the APN with the specifications indicated by Telcel, but nothing... All I get is EDGE connection.
My question is... Is there a way to... unlock or add this band (AWS-1) to make it compatible with the service proided here in México???
Thanks in advanced!
Sadly, no. The hardware doesn't support it. As for 3G (HSPA if it is GSM) the phone only supports certain frequencies from the website, it appears to be 900 and 2100 mhz.

Hello guys!
First let me give you some context. I'm from Argentina, got my Pixel XL yesterday, bought it from the US Play Store same as I did with my Nexus 6P and a friend sent it to me from Florida. The problem is I can't seem to get LTE no matter what I try. My Nexus 6P which I still have gets LTE in a sec with my carrier, and the Pixel XL that should have the same bands does not for some reason. APN configs are the same, called my carrier just in case and re-checked everything, nothing seems to work.
Also tried entering testing menu with *#*#4636#*#* to set preferred network type to LTE, nothing, no signal at all, but when I do this with my 6P it does get LTE.
Maybe anyone has an idea what I can try. I might try to flash a factory image just in case but it's just so weird I can't wrap my head around this.
Thanks!
Same problem here in Dominican Republic
Same problem here in Dominican Republic.
Same problem here ? Im desperate Claro Dominican Republic. It seems the LTE on the Pixel only works with US Carriers.

Guys, do you both have Claro in Dominican Republic? Why I ask? Because I have Claro too here in Argentina and today I tried with a friend's SIM card from a different Carrier (Personal Argentina) and got LTE in a second! So it's not a Pixel's problem!... or is it!?
Could it be something with Claro? I mean, if both of you have Claro this is some weird ****.
Run the LTE Discovery APP, screenshot both the NExus 6P and the Pixel, share it with us so we can compare.

The bad t hing is that the nexus 6p shows as unknown LTE. I think you guys need to call support and ask them provision the pixel on their systems.
And what does the app show with personal ? (both phones)
pispuso said:

Both screenshots say the same if you check. It's really weird that we are having the same problem in two different countries with the same bands.

That also happens in the US with some phones and carriers. I've had to call and have them provision my phone, mainly with StraightTalk/Net10, afterwards it would work. They would tell me they had to add my IMEI so that the towers would allow access.

Armando, am I wrong or you work in Claro? Did you try using a new Nano SIM Card? Try provisioning your phone in the system? I'll try to do this on Monday and check if that could be a problem, I don't know.
------------
Also did anyone else with this problem tried flashing NDE63P OTA Image from Google and try again? I might do this later since I didn't receive the OTA.
EDIT: Just updated to NDE63P and still the same. Found a couple more people with the same problem in India where their Nexus 6P also worked but the Pixel is not working.

Google fix options:
1) block all device use outside USA
2) Wait for Cocchiararo to cancel his order, then fix it for real

Well it looks like we are out of luck for now at least until Google acknowledges this problem. I tried contacting Android Police, sent mails to Google Support, everything I could to give visibility to this but still no news.
The phone is so new that there is no info about this, but in the coming weeks everyone outside US will have this problems if they use Band 4.

Band 4 aws 1700/2100 is tmobile in the us. But tmobile att and verzion all use band 4 lte.

In Argentina Claro, Movistar and Personal all use band 4. In the wiki it shows Claro and Movistar use 10Mhz and Personal uses 15Mhz, there's the difference.
Most reported that Personal works fine on LTE. That means theres nothing wrong with the Pixel, its the Carrier.

I beg to differ. Many carriers around the world use the same configuration of 10Mhz. I understand the difference between Personal and the other two in this matter but tell me then how is that every other unlocked phone from US (including the Nexus 6P) has no problem at all to connect to any LTE network here but the Pixel has?

Like I said before in Spanish, I really don't think the carrier will be able to fix it, how can a 6P work and not the Pixel, a phone with the same bands... either way @GeeX let us know what they tell you.
The November security update ending in letter V has the newest radio.. Maybe try flashing the build and see if it works..

Tried it, still no LTE. =/
I wanna to buy a Galaxy Active2 LTE unlocked in my trip on EUA, and I'm living on Brazil.
Can I use LTE by Claro operator?
Claro has ESim technology.
But... I don't know the frequencieson EUA and if I can use the LTE here on Claro Brazil.
Info by GSM ARENA https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_watch_active2-9784.php#44mm-lte
There are all frequencies in same smartwatch? Or by region?
Claro use 850/2100MHz 3G and 4G
English translation:
Even if it's the same frequency this e-sim stop is from device to device.

Hi,
I am planning to buy this phone. If anyone owning the phone in India confirm whether it supports carrier aggregation 4g+ also specify which network and which circle. Thank you
Anyone please reply
That depends of your network carrier. You must ask them. I am in Telenor network in my country and I have 4G+. Look downloading speed. That is my provider have

HGreetings, I bought a Lg wing 5g from verizon in the US. and I want to activate it in another country and in another phone, but when I put the sim car of my phone it does not give me data or voice service, could someone help me with an idea please, thanks.
Hola, tengo ese mismo problema.
Hello, Verizon model devices run on different bands. Likely you're trying to go to a GSM carrier and Verizon models will not work completely with GSM carriers. Likewise GSM carrier models such as T-Mobile will not work on Verizon.
