I am using a UAE region tab3 in Pakistan. It started going into "Kernel Panic Upload Mode" on 2nd day after offcial firmware update.
I could not claim warranty because I could not send it back to uae. So tried to figure it out myself and carried out following steps.
1. Hard reset .. but didn't work
2. I figured out that it happened only when wifi is enabled and some upload/download operation in progress.
3. I replaced firmware with "prerooted.tar.md5" by jamison .. UK version (as someone in some thread suggested the solution) ... The device worked fine on wifi all the night and when i used the device on next day, kernel panic started showing up again.
4. I started analyzing android logs and found some useful system crash logs in kmsg
log file is attached:

Sorry for late reply. I didn't had time to work on tab so that why ... I flashed BlackHawk kernel 1.7.1 from thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439564 and didn't recieve "Kernel Panic Upload Mode" message since then. Also changed my wifi channels as they were interfering with neighbours wifi.
I flashed the kernel using TWRP because could not install using ODIN due to "signature verification" msg.
If anyone getting problem with installing TWRP then try removing auto-reboot check in ODIN while flashing TWRP recovery.
resolved kernel panic upload mode
I faced kernel panic update mode on regular basis and then after searching xda the only solution seems to be blackhawk kernel but I wanted to take this issue to Samsung and hence took my tab to the service centre. They did a firmware restore and said its done now but to my surprise it again started showing up, I rushed back to the service centre with my tab in kernel panic mode the next day. They said to leave the tab for few days for thorough testing to which I agreed. After 3 days they called me up to say that there is no such problem regarding my tab, I went at the store and after heated argument I asked them to give in writing that there is no defect. My frustrated soul woke up the developer in me and finally found the solution, its simple should have done at the first place.Just wipe device in recovery mode and have not faced the problem yet, by the way Samsung guys suspected my tab of being rooted which was not coz I told them I have never rooted?.Loving ios again cheers!

Credit to @roustabout for providing @Chainfire with the stock recovery. And to @blulite for monitoring the CF thread for the release of CF Auto-Root.
NOTE #1: This procedure WILL trip the Knox flag.
NOTE #2: It is advisable that you do not connect your Tab Pro 8.4 to your computer until reaching Step 7.
STEP 1
Download Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones (Windows Only):
Softpedia
Samsung's Website (you'll have to search a generic device, like Galaxy S4, in order to find the driver)
OR
Install Kies:
http://content.samsung.com/us/contents/aboutn/kiesIntro.do
STEP 2
Tab 8.4 Download CF Auto-Root (8.4)
Tab 10.1 Download CF Auto-Root (10.1)
STEP 3
Extract files to a folder on your desktop, open newly created folder, run Odin.
STEP 4
In Odin, for the Tab 8.4, choose "PDA" and select the file "CF-Auto-Root-mondrianwifi-mondrianwifixx-smt320.tar.md5" (included in the CF Auto-Root zip)
For the Tab 10.1, choose "PDA" and select the file "CF-Auto-Root-picassowifi-picassowifixx-smt520.tar.md5" (included in the CF Auto-Root zip)
STEP 5
Power off your Tab.
STEP 6
On your Tab, hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until you see a "Warning!!" screen with a large yellow triangle at the bottom. Press Volume Up to continue.
STEP 7
Connect your Tab to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
Your computer should now automatically install the appropriate drivers for use in the Tab's "Download Mode".
STEP 8
In Odin, verify that your Tab is connected to a COM port (yellow box with text "COM x" where "x" is a number)
STEP 9
In Odin, press "Start"
FINISHING UP
Upon a successful flash, Odin will display "PASS" and your Tab will reboot.
You can expect to have to disable Knox, and SuperUser should prompt you to do this.
Be sure to thank @Chainfire; he's an amazing contributor to all that is Android.

SuperUser hasn't asked me to disable Knox. How do I do it manually?
Thanks for the detailed instructions for rooting. I do have a question as a newbie, if it's okay.
If I root my Tab Pro 8.4, can I still use Comixology and Zinio accounts? If yes, can I use the SD card as the main installation for Comixology and Zinio since I have lots of digital comics and magazines I would like to download.
Will this root work on the 10.1?

Rooting should have no effect on what non-root-requiring apps you can use. If the apps allow you to select a storage location, you should be able to use the SD after doing THIS.

Thank You leatherneck6017 for pulling the rooting info together
Root was a breeze
Going with out a rooted device just seems so unnatural..
Worked like a charm on my 10.1 thanks for the instructions and as always huge thanks to Chainfire!!
Holy ****... I just got a bsod right in the middle of flashing with odin. Luckily it didn't brick or anything but I am not rooted after this. Will try again.
Edit: with the 8.4. Using a windows 7 machine.
Edit 2: well it bsod'ed a second time, i might try this on my windows 8.1 machine.
Encryption and stock firmware
So far so great over the last few days on my 8.4, thank you!
I tried to encrypt the device itself (not SD), had full password enabled, it reboots like it is going to start encrypting but never does. Another forum had some info that as of 4.3 this was happening on rooted devices (possibly knox related?) and you had to go back to stock everything to encrypt THEN root the device. No big deal, but I can't find a way to go back aside from a link to 4.4.2 firmware from nasirtech's blogspot which I don't really know if it's legit or not. Why can't we just download it from Samsung's website? I also tried KIES 3 and it says I'm running the latest firmware.
Downloading OTA gives "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available" ok who cares, I'm planning to use CM whenever it's working anyway.
Aside from that the only other negative thing I've noticed since rooting was the KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 message on the custom download screen, but again, I don't care.
Really just curious if anyone has a workaround to the encryption thing, or if there's some better alternative anyway.
has anyone used this method with windows 8.1?
I have. Worked fine.

That one on nasirtech's blogspot appears to be for Portugal. As far as I know, no one has posted a stock firmware for US models yet. Which makes me wonder...could it be extracted from Kies somehow?

Galaxy E7 series is being highly appreciated by the users at the moment.
Samsung changed the plastic build and design into something cool with the new
Galaxy A & Galaxy E series. These devices sport a metallic build, a great look and feel.
The Galaxy E7 is the elder sibling of the Galaxy E5. It flaunts a beautiful 5.5 inches display
accompanied by a 5 MP primary cam. A 13 MP cam can be found at the back. Internal
storage is 16 GB, there’s a microSD card slot as well. Samsung used a Quad Core 1.2 GHz
CPU accompanied by Adreno 306 GPU to power this device up. Under the hood there’s a
RAM of 2 GB, a 2950 mAh battery is fixed inside. Out of the box, the Galaxy E7 can be
found running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Android enthusiasts who are going to get their hands on the Galaxy E7 or who have
already got it, they may want to unleash the true power of this device. The very first
step towards the vast world of customisations on Android OS is to root the device.
We’ve already found a working method to root this device and written this post to
serve the purpose. Let’s go through some pre-installation instructions and then learn
how to root your Galaxy E7 E700, E7009, E700F, E700H & E700M.
1. This guide is only for Samsung Galaxy E7 [Variants listed above]
Make sure that your device is exactly as mentioned above. To check out what device
you have, go to Settings > More/General > About Device or Settings > About Device
and match the model number. Be careful about the device model number, flashing a
file on a device not listed here might result in bricking it up.
2. Battery should be charged at least 60%!
Your device’s battery shouldn’t be weak. In case your device goes dead during the
flashing process, your device may get soft bricked and you might be in need of flashing
stock firmware and that will ultimately result in wiping up your data as well. So, make
sure that you charge your device before you start the flashing process.
3. Use the OEM datacable to establish connection!
Always use the original data cable to establish connection between your Android
device and your computer / laptop. Using ordinary data cables might interrupt the
flashing process, so to avoid any mishap, you need to meet this requirement as well.
4. Backup everything!
Just to be on the safe side, you may consider backing up each and everything from
Your Android device. This is highly recommended so that in case anything goes wrong,
you still have the access to all of your data and you can restore it immediately.
You may backup everything as listed below.
Backup SMS Messages
Backup Call Logs
Backup Contacts
Backup Media – Copy your files manually to your PC or Laptop.
5. Turn off Samsung Kies and other softwares while using Odin3!
Make sure that you turn off Samsung Kies while using Odin3 flashtool. Samsung Kies
will interrupt Odin3 and will result in causing errors and may not let you flash your
desired recovery or root file. Also, make sure that you turn off any antivirus software
you’ve installed and also disable firewall to avoid any connection and flashing issues.
6. Disclaimer
The methods involved in flashing custom recoveries, roms and rooting your phone
are highly custom and may result in bricking your device, and has nothing to do with
Google or the device manufacturer that is SAMSUNG in our case. Also rooting your
device will void its warranty and you will be no longer eligible for any kind of free
device services by the manufacturers/warranty providers. If your device comes with
a Knox counter on the bootloader, it will be tripped and you won’t be able to reset
it again. In case of any mishap we may not be held responsible. Follow these
instructions to the letter to avoid any mishap or bricking. Make sure that whatever
you do, you are doing it at your own responsibility.

How To Root Galaxy E7 Now
[How to]
Install firstly Samsung Drivers USB
Extract the downloaded CF-Auto-Root file once only to get the .tar.md5 file.
Open Odin3.exe.
Put your Galaxy E7 in download mode.
To do so, turn it off and wait for 10 seconds. Turn it on by pressing and
holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously,
You should see a warning, press Volume Up to continue. In case this method
doesn’t work for you, try one from this guide.
Connect your device to your PC.
As soon as Odin detects your phone, the ID:COM box should turn blue.
Make sure that you’ve installed Samsung USB drivers before connecting.
For Odin 3.09 hit the AP tab. Select the CF-Auto-Root.tar.md5, that you
downloaded and extracted above.
If you’re using Odin 3.07, you will select “PDA” tab instead of the AP tab,
rest of the options remain untouched.
Make sure that the options selected in your Odin are exactly as shown in the pic.
Hit start and wait till the rooting process is complete, as soon as your device restarts,
remove it from PC.
Find SuperSu in app drawer now.
That’s all with the rooting, let’s verify the root access now.
How To Verify Root Access:
To do so, go to Google Play Store on your Galaxy E7.
Find “Root Checker” and install it.
Open Root Checker.
Tap “Verify Root”.
It will ask you for SuperSu rights, tap “Grant”.
It should show you Root Access Verified Now!
That’s All!

I have Odin3 v3.10.7 installed on my computer, however I can't find the files I need because most of the links on YouTube and in Google search are broken now.
I need the KitKat 4.4.2 Stock Rom - I want one Rooted and another one Unrooted the Official Stock Rom
I want the flash files that I can use with Odin. I understand how to do that better.
The only files I can find online to download are the ones that look the picture that I attached. I don't understand how to use these files.
Someone please respond asap. I flashed with a file that I got online that said was for my device and now it will not go past the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 black screen.
I appreciate any help I can get with this, thanks!
