Hi all,
Bought in a HTC one M* on Voda with damaged screen and stuck in bootloop, figured it may just be the battery, so ordered a new one but no joy, still not getting past the bootscreen - HTC Logo.
Now i got it into the Bootloader but dont know what to do from here..
Ive gone into recovery but it goes goes off and does nothing
Ive gone to Factory Reset and it attempts to do it but nothing
Flashing software is the next option i guess, never done it on HTC before..I
Is sd card the best way.?
What Firmware will i flash.?
Phone is locked to Vodafone IRL
Ive attached a pic of the boot screen
Thanks

Hi
Well, my desire rebooted yesterday because of overheating (as usual).
But this time it got stuck at the white screen with green HTC logo. Rebooted it 30 times but no progress.
I can get into Bootloader (0.93) but when i press RECOVERY, it reboots and the bootup screen is there again. Waited for one hour but nothing happened. It´s like i can´t use the RECOVERY function.
Tried to install the original froyo from Windows. Got to the step when the setupprogram reboots the phone into Bootloader, but then connection between my Desire and my PC is lost. The setup program only recognizes my Desire when i´m in FASTBOOT, as soon as i switch to bootloader the program can´t find the Desire.
Should i have the bootloader drivers installed on my PC or the HTC Sync drivers? or both? none of them?
And what´s wrong with my phone?
THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS....
got it working anyway, tried 3000 different ruu´s and the last of them worked.
3000 - lol!!
My desire (running GV 2.2, S-ON) rebooted itself about an hour ago and now seems to be in a bootloop - reboots on the htc logo screen.
Tried getting into recovery but it hangs on the same htc screen after selecting recovery...
Any ideas on how to revive it?

Try booting without sd card in the phone.
Any luck yet?
I've been having similar problems and have now resorted to using and RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667) and formating my SD card with a single partition - just really need this phone not to die as I still have 12 months left on my contract, *sigh*
Thanks both, I managed to get it going again via RUU. I'm actually selling the phone fairly soon, so wanted to go back to stock at some point anyway.
So i did the update that was posted today, but after installing i'm now stuck in a bootloop. It pulls the white HTC logo but then restarts.
Trying to enter bootloader and it shows the small grey HTC logo, then restarts.
I've removed SIM and SD card (some have noted that this fixes the update), but still no dice.
Has anyone ever run in to this issue before?
Last problem i had was when the LAST update was hung up at 25% and i had to completely reflash with the RUU from HTC, but this time i can't even pull the bootloader to do that again. Now it won't even go past the grey logo to get to the bootloader.
Any help for this would be fantastic, as I'm basically ****ed without a phone right now...
i updated my phone via htc, never unlocked or anything, then it got stuck on the htc one logo. sometimes it gives me the android is starting, optimising storage but then it goes back to the bootloop
my phone is from the netherlands can you guys help me?
tried to flash a new system on there but is is not working
thnx beforehand
Today I bough an HTC One M8 (Model: 0P6B100) for cheap in really good condition but someone before me tried to install a newer android version or something else. Whatever they did bricked the phone really good. It's stuck on the HTC logo most of the time and sometimes gets to the HTC One logo. When the phone is off it appears to be charging normally. I can get to the bootloader and I have photos of the bootloader and other stuff I think might be important. First thing I tried to do is factory reset which seemed like it was gonna work but after the phone managed to "almost" get to the OS it kept saying some apps (maybe they were processes? I really don't know) stopped working again and again not letting me get any further than that (I couldn't continue with logging in my google account and activating the phone). I couldn't replicate it again also there was only the back arrow and home button. A restart got me stuck at the HTC logo again. After that I tried wiping the data and cache and it didn't work. The screen was also flickering, but now it isn't. On the third picture it's saying it can't mount an SD card, there is no SD card in the phone. I don't really know what to do, I hope someone here can help me. I have zero experience with rooting phones, installing newer android versions etc.
