Towlroot.apk works perfectly for my E980. Before it would not work - which I tried a few months ago. Now it seems there have been major updates and it worked flawlessly and without issue.
If that don't work for you try root master.

Yes, I'm using a f460 just upgraged to 5.0.1 by flashing stocked KDZ. Then I find there's no way I can get it rooted. After I searched the forum, the only way of having a rooted Lollipop G3 seems to be flash a pre-rooted 5.0 rom from KK. Unfortunately, there NO pre-rooted 5.0 rom for F460. So I'm wondering is there any way I can get it rooted? Should be doable, when we already have rooted roms.
Thanks for sharing.

same here, waiting for root as well as cook rom for F460S on Lollipop
Same prob. I want to root mine as well. Went to PC suite and updated it to 5.0.1
LG G3 F460S
no root and no xposed for Lollipop is what keeps me from updating my F460S. I will update my girlfriend's stock F460S today, just to compare
Any one tried stump root with bruteforce method?
Why don't you try http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951 from avicohh
Says it works for all variants??

Thank you!
Just rooted my phone using this method.
My Tab S 10.5 is currently rooted and running on Stock 5.0.2 as per screenshot. Is there a "better" kernel for this configuration?
Thanks.
