Hello people, I don't know if there's anyone out there who still uses the G pro but here I am still using it. Okay so I have been stuck with this problem for almost 2 months now, I rooted my phone amd everything was great till the time I tried to install a custom recovery using freegee. It did not work. In the beginning, it said my phone wasn't compatible because of some loki thing but I still went ahead with it anyway.
So after I installed the 2nd-init recovery, after I rebooted, things went bad. My phone was okay, sort of. The main problem was that my memory card stopped working and my phone began changing settings itself like turning the wifi off, screen on changes to 15 seconds and it keeps doing this again and again and I have to keep changing the settings.
Can somebody please help me fix this issue as I really can't take this anymore. I cant use my phone properly any longer. Oh and my phone is still under warranty but m scared to give it in as I feel they might find out it was rooted. Is there anyway I can get back to the old recovery and remove this 2nd init file? i can locate the file bt im scared to delete it as i wouldnt wanna wreck my phone any further.
Any help would be appreciated.

Restore to stock first. 2nd-init recoveries are very hard to remove without extensive knowledges on linux shell.
They you can re-root the phone. If your phone supports the 'LG Support Tool', then use it. It will recover your phone to stock in clean and nice GUI.
I tried the lg support tool. It just keeps stopping.
I'm not really good at this. I restored to stock by performing a factory reset but Im just lost at this point. Can I give it in for servicing because its still under warranty?

Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck
I don't know about lg support tool, but the best thing will be use lg flash tool, there are many thread on how to flash the img files. You can flash the recovery that way. Or you can flash your device back to stock rom 4.12 which is the best starting point.

So I found a custom ROM that would work on the R800x. Its DarkForest ROM, I flashed it and it said it installed successfully. I rebooted it and it sat at the Sony Ericsson screen and didn't move. So I did a battery pull and tried again, still nothing. I then tried to get it back into ClockWorkMod recovery and it won't go anywhere except the SE screen. Can someone please help me because I need my phone
If you need more information let me know and I will post it.
Your phone is bricked. Use flashtool, pc companion or seus to fix it.
I never installed that Rom, but you may need to factory reset or wipe cache in some roms after installing. If it isnt that you may be on wrong baseband or kernel and if not that you would need flashtool to go back & flash another firmware. Good luck.
Ios suckkss.
i dont have any help to offer, but were you able to get a functional backup of the stock rom working? i know pc companion can always fix it as long as it can see the phone, but i wanna keep all my apps and stuff if i decide to do anything like a new rom/kernel and gotta go back. i cant figure out how to boot into clockwork mod even tho i have the Xperia CWM Auto-Installer installed and it said it was successful (i uninstalled the app after. should i have left it?) and rom manager (after leaping through hoops getting it to even allow me to try) just reboots with no recoveries available when i try to make one. i know, more work for you, but you can get far enough to flash roms, so i was hoping you could tell me what i need to do?
UPDATE: finally got CWM to work! lol. it wouldnt work til i used the volume buttons. lol. im gonna keep several copies of my current rom just in case. lol. sorry.
This will happen to you for not unlocking your bootloader if u didn't. Thia happenes.to.me once and.I.reflashed the verizon. Tft fike with flashtool. I will reply with a better explaination later

I think the problems started ever since I rooted the device. That's the only thing I can think of. I will say that I only rooted it, I did not freeze or remove any apps, install anything or otherwise modify the system. I haven't even installed a recovery yet.
Is it possible the root made my system unstable? What do you guys suggest I do to try and fix this problem?
Thanks

have you tried un-rooting? Anytime you mess with the system it has the potential to make it unstable.

I installed software on mine which changes color balance and runs as a service.
When it was running, the device crashed occasionally.
Once I uninstalled it, the behavior stopped.
Rooting probably doesn't create a problem, but try uninstalling any software you've added, then stepwise walk through adding in apps.
I've also seen some apps create lockups for the camera app.

Then why did you root? Just waiting for the development to come around?
I'm rooted and haven't seen this issue. Its rebooted once, maybe twice on its own in the 2 weeks or so since rooting.
Yeah I thought we'd have custom roms by now. How do I safely uproot and get back to factory. I would like to wipe everything and start from scratch
SuperSU
Using framaroot.apk with Aragorn exploit, I noticed that the SuperSU option is more stable that Superuser.
I ran into problems with my first Note 8 after I installed XMBC. It would lock up within 10 seconds or so of reboot. I would highly recommend that you take advantage of the root toolkit in this forum, install CWM recovery and make a full backup once you get it behaving again. It is good to have something to go back to if you have unexpected problems!
EDIT: You can flash back a stock image using the toolkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251033
well i dont know what the heck is going wrong with the toolkit, but i did everything correctly, installed all the drivers, serial # shows up in the toolkit, checked off developer debugging mode. I tried to flash CWM from toolkit in PDA and everytime i try to go to recovery it just has the stock recovery there not CWM.
Hello everyone thanks for checking out my post for assistance.
I was running the OpTimuS 2.2 yesterday when my phone jumped into a boot-loop. The phone will be on for about 20-40 seconds then reboot. During that time I have no service and when I update the profile I get a message that I don't have any service. I can get into recovery and Download mode. I tried to just wipe and install the rom again. That process resulted in the same boot loop. I have a back up but that was done before the "spark" update and I didn't want to restore that because I know there will be an issue with the radio. I downloaded the stock rooted rom but the phone will not stay on long enough to transfer the file and when I try and load via recovery it will not allow me to transfer the file. (never shows up on computer I might be doing that wrong) I then attempted to bring the phone back to stock following this process http://www.rwilco12.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=96 but when I get down to step 13 the program will not respond anymore. I am going a friends house to try on a different computer but I wanted to get this out there just in case that has the same result.
Thanks again for any info that you could provide.

Flashing back to stock won't work, I had the same thing happened.......it's the EFS Partition (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451390) If you made a EFS Partition Backup, then flashing that will be your best hope.....I didn't make a backup so I went to sprint cuz I have insurance and they are ordering me a new phone

They replaced it even though your phone was rooted?
Try installing an updated modem for your variant from this thread. It's worth a try.

If you get it working, definitely make an EFS backup right away.

I used the LGFlashTool to bring it back to stock unrooted.......but my phone had no sevice and rebooted every couple minutes, plus the touchscreen wasn't working either.....I told them I took the Spark update and thats when it happened, he said they had alot of issue with touchscreen stopped working and rebooting issue with the spark update......so they didn't look at it long...lol
I have tried back to stock numbers of times....installing modems....restoring my backups....nothing would get it to work, so I gave up and went to sprint...lol
On the rom you were using, have you tried enabling airplane mode to prevent reboots? You could try to get a stock-based flashable zip on the device if possible.

Thanks for the option. I was able to install the radio but the issue remains.

Have we ruled out the possibility to flash a stock ROM in TWRP? If by any chance you have a USB OTG cable, you could try to connect a flash drive with another ROM.
This is my last ditch effort. Small back story: I somehow wiped EVERYTHING on my G2. EFS partition, ESN, data, SIM info., everything with dialer codes. All of my network information reads "unknown". I tried many methods from here on the forums to get this data back and it turns out I have lost my EFS partition- DNA for the network? I sent it to LG to get it fixed, having done a hard reset and leaving no trace of root. They sent it back without even asking and did no repairs. The note said "board bent". WTF?? How does the user bend the main board, especially when I never opened it? They voided my warranty and ripped off my IMEI/MEID sticker from the back of the phone.
Anyways, I am here with a brick. No network still. Here is what I have done:
1) .tot method to ZVC. Several more times... once to ZV7 where I lost touch capability. Luckily saved my arse with a micro->usb cable and a mouse.
2) attempted to root with ioroot25. Failed because the phone WILL NOT find recovery mode. adb, voldown+pwr then again from power off, and apps are unable to force the phone into recovery mode. I assume it is possible that my recovery mode is deleted?
3) Would have tried all of these "rewrite your efs/imei/etc" things but I can't do any without root. Can't root without recovery, can I?
4) Spent the last two weeks scouring the internet for a fix and going back to my Epic 4G temporarily.
Please help me, has anyone seen this before? Can anyone help me fix it? I am to the point where I would pay to have it fixed. Any experts out there? XDA has yet to let me down... I just need to know if I can fix it or if it is a brick so I can go searching for an old Sprint GS3.
Thanks all,
baublitz
Well it finally happened to me. I tried flashing CM11 Remix gee version and I ended up with a softbrick. The weird thing is it booted the first time but once I tried to reboot, it just showed the lg logo and then a black screen. Only thing I could manage to do was get into download mode and lgnpst. So anyways, I'm back up and running but was wondering if the way I unlocked my phone last time may have had something to do with it. See, every time I would goto fastboot, I had the menu that u have to navigate blindly. And upon rerouting and then unlocking again with freegee, I see the classic method to unlock now warns about possible softbrick. Idk if mako unlock was an option back when I first unlocked but what do u guys think about this possibly being the reason some folks have good luck with a ROM and the next guy has issues. I believe my softbrick was totally random because I always clean install the same way every time. The only difference lately was that I had been giving cwm a shot. I tried both the latest cwm and also philz touch. Its just odd that it can vary so much from phone to phone and one flash to the next. Also one other thing I wanna ask is, what do u guys think about the framaroot.apk? I used this to root this time because I was at work messing around and couldn't stand stock zvc. Is framaroot method reliable or should I start over again and root with fiddys method? Thanks for everyone's work around here and any advise/opinions.

Hey guys I really need your help with something! I recently rooted my LG G3 using stump and downloaded an application that needed to restart my phone so I did and now when i try to turn my phone on all I see is the LG load screen but nothing will happen after that. The LED continues to flash at the load screen, but it wont go anywhere. Also, I have tried to wipe cache, factory reset, and apply updates in the recovery area but nothing seems to work. I have also tried doing a factory data reset but like everything else i can only make it to the load screen. This is the first device i have ever rooted so I am very new at this but I really need some help!
Sounds like the app did something malicious. What app?
I would like to make a suggestion for you and for other noobs planning to root and mod their devices.
Firstly every single person whom ever tweaked their device flashed custom ROMs, Kernels etc either has or will need some help at some point.
The most valuable point that I can stress is this, before you root, find out how to undo it and how to fix or troubleshoot different senarios.
If you see the LG animation then this means you have any number of ways to fix the issue(you're not doomed), check the tutorials, do some reading and search its all here, you managed to find out how to root etc so now do a little more to find out how to fix, good luck.
Can you enter download mode?
