here is my EmailWidget:

do me a favour.
- backup your .apk file
- try the modded .apk
- check all widget sizes and if they look ok
- take a screenshot and post it here
if it works fine i will put it in my thread

could someone give a quick explanation of how i get this installed. Whenever i try it just says application not installed. I cant find the original location of the .apk either to rename/backup.

[APP] S-Voice on SII + How-To Guide!

The S3 firmware has been out for a while and it comes with lot of suprises! Like it is 1GB in total!
Another surprise is that it comes with S-Voice and Many more features! Currently, I have tested S-Voice on AOSP ROM (SGS2! DUH!)
On to the How-To guide:
Things Needed:
AOSP or CM9
APKs package from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662050 (All APPs are included so that you can play and test all of them if they work)
Patience
Process:
Just Find the voicetalk.apk and put it on your device.
Make sure Third-Party Apps are allowed to install!
Now go to that apk with a File Manager on your device.
Then just install it as a normal apk and there you go!
Congrats you have S-Voice!

Go in Root Explorer, open /system, edit the "build.prop".
Replace all "GT-I9200" by "GT-I9300", and "galaxys2" by "galaxys3".
Then Reboot.
After That, all Right, and let's play !

I edited my first post

I was using it like for a day without editing it and it still works fine just that when the pic was taken my internet went down.

Actually Samsung has busted S-Voice for the unofficial devices other then Galaxy S3, so this actually doesn't work. To fix it replace GT-I9100 values in the build.prop file to GT-I9300 to cheat Vlingo's servers.

Try here, All credits go to MyLifeRocks10 for the link, its one where you dont need to change build prop. Also Ive found that disabling the wake up command stops the FC i was getting, and i havent had a network error since.

i think changing build.prop will cause market errors

You can get one from here. The one i've posted also has 2 lib files that are important. You can use those apks in system/apps too.

You need to be rooted. There are 2 lib files. Add them to system/lib.
And move all the apks to system/app.
I have tried this. Working 100% perfectly. I have tried it at 240p too. Works fine there too.

The same thing... Got FC when open tab and switch Bluetooth on....sucks

I dont know dafuq is wrong with your installation. Mine works fine.

Multifunctional lock in the lockscreen

Hi guys, I didn't find a better title for the thread (i'm italian, so sorry in advance for my bad english)
I was (desperately) looking for something like this: (an image explicates it better)

For example I move the lock down to access the music, left to access Internet, right to unlock, exc. Is there any app or mod which allows me to do it on the nexus 4? I don't like stock lockscreen at all

If you have a custom ROM, it's probably in the settings->security->lock screen->slider targets
Not sure if there's an app for it.

Cyanogen mod, aokp..Pac..and other roms have it if you have root accses on your phone maybe you could extract only lockscreen app.. From any of those roms and replace in sistem app folder in root manager..or download widget locker or similar app from playstore

You cant just assume any rom will have this feature. PA doesnt have lockring targets.

I managed to do it using Widget locker, it's not as useful as i thought ehehe thanks anyway everyone!

you can install without root, someone said that you can install the theme, apply it, and then disable the theme store from application manager, worked for him.

How to install:
1) You should be rooted.
2) Install the theme, wait for it to show in the themes. DO NOT APPLY.
3) Use any Root file manager and go to /data/overlays/jsonfiles/trialjson
4) you should see a file called "siddheshpatil.octane.json"
5) cut that file i.e move that file from trialjson to userjson in jsonfiles.
6) Reboot your device.
7) apply the theme.
P.S. you can use this method to apply any trial theme permanently.

That's just some random wallpaper I put, I will use the one I made originally with this theme in some other theme (that I may sell).

Why did this thread close? It seemed like a nice theme.
