[Q] Incoming SMS appear as flashsms and then vanish

Hi,
I have a S4mini running 4.2.2 (rooted).
A few days now I have an unusual problem:
*All* my incoming SMS appear as if they are flashSMS(class0), meaning they appear as a popup, and then they vanish.
I use Handsent SMS pro, if it makes any difference
Also, if my the SMS app is active, the incoming sms doesnt show up at all (not even as a popup)
any ideas?

text messages

I just received my watch today and noticed whenever I receive a text message I don't have the option to read it. The only options I see are reply, mark ad read, call, open on phone,and block.
Is this normal or am I missing some settings?
Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

You just have to tap the text message and then scroll up and down to read.

I'm using the textra app as my message app.
After additional research I found out that the watch is basically a mirror of the phone (on the notification part), so if I wanted the conversation on the watch, I'll have to enable that in textra too. I have textra set to not show text message on the phone (a privacy setting). Whenever I get a text message on the phone it'll just show xx # of text message I would then press on the notification to see who texted me.
In the end I enabled show message in textra, now I can see the messages on my watch.

Are you getting notifications for messages that YOU have sent

Everytime i send an SMS or whatsapp I get a notification of my outbound message in the same way an inbound message notification.
I can't see any setting to switch this off. Its pretty annoying especially when using Android Auto..
You getting this too?

i dont get those messages, are you sure it's not app specific?

Receiving Text messages on time

I am having a delay in receiving text messages even after altering the bat saver settings for the messaging app to run in the background.
So I send myself a text from another phone and I get no message.
Then I open messages and still no text.
Then I send a message out and all the messages I have been waiting one appear.
Can someone please help me on how to fix this issue?

It's like the push notification isn't activated until a long time or after I send a message. Also when I do send the message to trigger the receiving of messages there is a slight pause that says sending on the outgoing message.

Sorry, I’m interested in buying this phone and I was just stopping by to see what folks had to say about your issue. Could you tell me did you ever figure out what your issue is?

Never experienced such an issue with mine...
I get SMS messages pretty fast after they have been sent (for instance verification codes and so on)
Myne is an EU version if that makes any difference...

Question No sms message sound

Hi.
I recently bought this device and after the initial update to Color OS 11.3 the phone doesn't make sound when getting text message. I do get noitification sounds for both emails and app notifications just not for sms.
Any idea how to fix this issue?

Maybe inside Application>Select SMS app>Notification ?

Yes i have fixewd it sometime ago. it is within SMS apk settings

Turn off your power saving mode.
