hi,
i have googled a bit , but apart from the Odin-flashable tar.md5 file , i was unable to find a proper .zip file to use.
i am still trying to find a .zip file because even using the adb commands (both from recovery and from normal mode), the Stock ROM files pulled out is still missing of some parts, and they don't allow me to proceed to develop a MIUI ROM for the N7505 :crying:
FEEL. the same sammy Galaxy S4 .everything all lined up and still hav lock out.OMG.

Hi
Please I'd like to know if it's possible to create a Complete ROM (3 files - Modem, PDA and CSC) from an One Package ROM (only one .TAR file).
And is that really useful? After this process, can we only flash the CSC file with Odin (Desktop)?
Thanks for your help. (always appreciated help)
Yes you can extract single ROM file and later create tar file for each component
Alternatively you can use mobile odin to flash indivudual components.
Thanks dr.ketan.
Extracting a tar file we obtain several img files (system.img, hidden.img, boot.img, recovery.img...) (from my own experience with an official rom of a French telephone company).
How could I know which img files is for the Odin's fields PDA, Phone, CSC...?

Atm I don't have Mobile Odin. Do u mean that we can flash .img file thanks to this app?
And do u know if this kind of Full Package flash is better than a One Package one? The result could be different?
Thanks again for your explanation.
System. Is PDA, modem is phone, boot is kernel, recovery is recovery this is different component of ROM file
Single file flashing flash all required component on one go, while individual useful when you want to flash only single component.
PC odin can flash tar file but not. img file, you have to convert it to tar
While mobile odin can flash tar as well img file too.

Ready to flash firmware, just one last thing
Hello, I have a gt-n7100 which I bought in china and I am looking in to flashing the firmware into the UK version as this chinese version has bloatware and i cant access google play or install many apps even if i get them from other markets. The guys here are all a great help but im stuck on one bit of info.
As I have read the threads, I see that the chinese note 2 cannot be flashed with other firmware using Odin PC, because it has a different bootloader ..(is my understanding correct?) So the solution would be to root it and use Odin Mobile instead. But i cant get mobile odin pro because i can never access the google play because it is blocked by this firmware. (ZCALJ6) So I have to use mobile odin LITE, which the tutorial says I have to manually download and install seperate files such as flash kernels. Thats fine, I located the files needed but i dont know when to install it and run it ? Before I install odin or after? or after I have flashed the new firmware or before? And when I install it what should i do next?....because i couldnt find where it says anything about that process, just goes on to explain that mobile odin PRO does it all for you automatically and picks it up from there.
Seriously in need of help, this chinese firmware does to note 2 what kryptonite does to superman.
I applied the the ExynosAbuse APK v1.40 on my note 2 ( AT&T version SGH-I317).
the camera screen was all green which was along expected lines
After reading the post about cam_fix_for_sotmax_roms which replaces the .so files for camera withj older files,
I renamed the original .so files to ".so orig"and replace them with the .so files from tcam_fix_for_sotmax_roms.zip file.
after rebooting is now stuck on the samsung logo that comes after the AT&T screen.
I tried hard reset and everything but not able to proceed.
How can i access the system folder and replace the files?
should i flash with original firmware using ODIN 1.85?
-Sameet
i downloaded the zip file for .so files form here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052675
I just copied the files manually to system\lib folder because I was not sure on how to update the zip using odin tool
That's what I would do. Is start over that way you know for sure that you won't run into any issues. Hopefully you can get it back to download mode! ! I would recommend JELLY THUNDER ROM Which is what I'm running. And have no problems at all.

thanks I am now restoring it to default formware using samsung kies ,
i will then try the jelly thunder rom update
I updated to 4.3 via Kies . and rooted via Kingo . so im on a stock 4.3 rooted mk4 ROM . I'm trying to tether but i can't get anything to work . I tried using the TrevEmod but that starts with errors and I think its because its unable to find the log file. Either way it goes, I'm not a big enough phonebwiz to be able to figure out a fix for it . I cannot get the native hotspot to work either. What do I do ?
&& for anyone that suggests I flash something...
1) do I need a custom recovery such a twrp or cwm .. Or can I use the stock one. If so how do I get a custom recovery ?
2) does anyone have an odexed mk4 hotspot hack ? (the links to it)
3)when flashing , is it best to flash through odin or the recovery ? And if I flash through Odin , do I still select the PDA option and then find the zip file and press start ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated , Thanks !

Native hotspot ofcourse will work if you have a legit tethering plan, otherwise look for a ROM that has it baked in. Folks are having issues with WiFi Tether TrevEmod and 4.3 for now so until that's fixed or updated...one of the reasons i'm staying put on 4.1.2.
&& for anyone that suggests I flash something...
1) Yes, you need a custom recovery such as TWRP or CWM to flash stuff.
2) Look in the Development sections.
3) Doesn't really matter, ODIN or recovery. Recovery is more convenient (download zip file to SD card or internal memory, boot into recovery and flash away), whereas ODIN requires the use of a computer, USB cable, drivers etc. (but then there's mobile ODIN...). Flashing in ODIN goes through the PDA section and usually requires a .tar file. The .tar file could be zipped up, so you'd have to unzip the file and place the .tar file in the PDA section.

You need to uninstall update to T-Mobile My Account app or uninstall it altogether.
Hello,
While trying to root my J200GU I accidently wiped the OS. Now I am left with the TWRP recovery mode and access to Download mode.
I have been trying to flash a stock firmware to my phone using different methods without success:
1- Used Odin tool but it fails when it begins to write the rom
2- ADB sideload - Gives me an error saying the rom is missing the META INF
3- TWRP Install - I tried different zipped roms and all of them give me error saying cannot detect MD5, although the file is there inside.
I am very confused I dont know what is wrong. I am not sure if the roms I use are good but since I already tried multiples I might be doing somethin else wrong.
Can anyone help me out. Does anyone has a stock rom that actually works? or a method?
Thanks.
V.
download the official samsung firmware at sammobile then flash it through odin.
Ok, lve been having a huge problem with my phone. I accidentally managed to brick my phone by wiping everything and the only thing that remains on it is the twrp and the bootloader. Ive been trying forever to find the correct zip file for my phone and whenever I try to flash it in twrp, it says that it has an invalid zip format.
So lve started to wonder if l can install some other custom ROM on my phone and somebody told me that LinageOS does not support my device. Is my phone able to work with omniROM, Resurrection Remix, or anything else that isn't stock?
If not, then can somebody please help me get the stock ROM back on my phone?
My phone is the XT1922-9 US unlocked model btw

TWRP can't install the stock firmware like that. You unzip it first, then flash it using fastboot from your PC. Here's your firmware; direct link.
OK, l was looking at another guide and lm not sure about the part where you put all the commands into fastboot then it then it starts flashing. Whenever l extracted the zip folders, the files didn't match with the commands.

if the commands dont match, you just adjust them.

That's normal. Read the flash file inside the firmware that you unzipped. It'll say what needs to be flashed and in what order. The commands change with updates. Never rely on a script. Always type it out.
