by the way how did you get almost 50k on antutu benchmark, what settings did you use

you can try agni kernel pure stock and download an app called boefla sound from the playstore to manage the sound settings. I'm an audioholic too, i know you feel bro haha

Beats audio + Alsa + AudioFXwidget - all you need for beautiful sound and real BASS!

Hi! All you know about Beats audio engine, but all version for SGA on our forum are old and obsolete.
So I want to introduce you to...
Beats audio engine + Alsa + AudioFXwidgetIncludes governed by ALSA.
for all ROM`s, but make backup first!!!
Thanks to RockoDev for (MOD)Beats Audio(2.3+up)
Thanks to contradictor from 4pda for experiments and new version with instruction, I`m only combined his update with Alsa in one file.
How to:0. First of all delete or freeze your DSP manager app!
1. Download files attached and copy them to your SD card.
2. Reboot to CWM and make backup!
3. Mount data, mount system, install beats_by_contradictor_V2.07_Alsa.zip update.
4. Reboot. First boot will take some time, not afraid - it is normal)
5. Install com.namakerorin.audiofxwidget.apk or download it from Google Play - it is free.
6. Start audiofxwidget and choose "Dialog" option in Select mode section. Choose 40% transparency (later you can change this parametr as you want to).
7. Disable any other equalizers in your player.
8. Add audiofxwidget to your Android Home Screen and choose EQ and BASS you prefer.
Enjoy the music!
P.S. if you prefer another Equalizer app, you can use yours instead of audiofxwidget.
Save for later.
The first time for me: first!
Thanks, dude!
Sorry to hear, that it's not compatible with stock...
seems good
Will test it
what do mean by alsa?
Thanks!

Naah, I would say that the most important factor is the headphones, those do make a huge difference. And my Ace is definitely better than my PC with a cheap Creative soundcard.
Excellent work!
P.S: Works for stock?
I am currently using DSP and have flashed the mega bass beats patch..
is this one better then DSP and megabass beats patches ? ? ??

What's the best Audio Mod for Booming Bass and nice sound atm?

For past six months I have been using this mod on my phone,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873121 (V2)
It's really fantastic, I used to tick the Bass and Equalizer to Rock under DSP Manager and the Bass was just wow, BOOM! I am a bass-head fyi. But I was wondering I have been using it for so long and maybe there are better mods available at the moment. The problem is they come with that .zip package which you can'y uninstall easily, so I don't really wanna flash it unless I am sure.
Anyway, if anyone here is using something better than the above please mention here.
Once again, don't forget about BASS
Thanks in advance.

FX is for audio effects and XHiFI for a clear sound and better quality. Use both with FX Compatible mode. Everything is explained in OP.
This mod is crazy! Can't believe what I am hearing to! Awesome.
But I found that running the FX in Normal mode is better for me, if I use it in Compatible mode there is no effect if I change the settings in FX!
I use PowerAMP, now I don't know what settings should I use, too many of them! Guess I will have to keep playing with them!
Viper FX is incredible. You can get great sound out of N2, just need proper mods/sw. I use that too and sounds great with my Koss

[MOD] Sound Enhancement Viper4Android!

hmm still have that slight crackling sound on vol up and the first keypress on the dialer
playing with it some more, you sure you have NO crackling when volume is all the way up and you press it up?
hmm I might have a solution, I think I fixed the sampling rate in the ROM itself, testing now

Tab S sound Boost, cannot find Mixer paths xml file? Help needed

I love my tab S and maybe this is the best screen I've seen my whole life.
But one thing bothers me that, I've been using the s and note devices from past 3 years, one thing I always did was Boost the sound for Speaker and the Headphone in the Mixer paths xml file.
I've searched this tab for a similar file and have got absolutely nothing.
Any good developer please help me out, if you can find that for it would be a great help

You could install my ROM and use the DSP manager, it also uses mixerpaths though a more serious answer is look at the comments it should point u in the right direction.

you can edit default_gain in system/etc
I thought xml edit only applied to CM/AOSP/GPe roms.

I've attached some screen shots to what you need to modify to increase your external speakers along with headphones.
You'll need Root Explorer or equivalent.
Let me know if it helped.
It's best to raise the digital volume it sounds less distorted ...my setting are +12 to all digital volumes and sounds great
Just to to clarify, you only need to raise the digital volume? I'm going to give it a shot.

I have tried that and multiple others. Some work well, some dont.
None have given me what I am looking for which it the ability to boost things like system volume, notification volume, etc. Still looking for a way to do that.
The best that I can accomplish is boosting media volume via a music or video player. If that is all you are looking for then the equalizer and bass booster will work fine.

[Update]Redmi 1s:best speaker configuration,loudest and clearest sound

Update:The new Guide has been released check it out here [Guide][Ver.2][Project Crystal X Loud]Redmi 1s Best Speaker Configuration With Proof
[/COLOR][/SIZE]Note:you must be on a custom rom to make it work, like cyanogenmod, mokee rom, carbon rom,pac rom,PA rom, etc(doesnt work on MIUI based roms)
Getting much less sound on redmi 1s even on the full volume?
yeah thats the problem everyone facing with this device.
So here are my phone speaker configurations to get the the loudest and clearest sound out of it,
Screenshots also attached,
Steps to get clear Sound:
1)Download and install Viper4android FX on redmi 1s(download link for Viper4android FX)
2)after installing open the app,and when it asks to install driver, choose the high quality, dont choose the battery saving because you will not get good sound in it,and neither choose the super quality as it will increase your battery consumption.
3)reboot the device once.
4)open Viper4Android and configure it like this:
i)click on options>UI settings>Expert
ii)in Master Power tick the Enable option
iii)in Firequalizer tick the Enable option and select preset:ROCK
iv)in Convolver tick the Enable option and in Impulse Response select the "Sony Xperia Rev2 EQ 8.Treble boost.irs"(download link for Sony Xperia Rev2 EQ 8.Treble boost.irs convolver) (Mirror link)
v)in Speaker Optimization tick the Enable option.
thats it, now you will get the clearest sound, but wait you will not get the loudest sound now,we have to do some few steps more,
Steps to get Loud Sound:
1)download and install root browser on your redmi 1s from playstore.
2)open root browser, you will see etc folder(if not go to system folder then etc folder).\ open it.
3)find mixer_paths.xml and open it.
4)look for this line in the text'<ctl name="RX4 Digital Volume" value="84" />'
5)change the value from 84 to 94 and save it.
6)Reboot once.
Now you have the best speaker on the redmi 1s
Note:after reboot if you get no volume, play any music, open viper4android in Master control untick Enable option and retick it,worked like charm
If you got some better settings than me dont hesitate to reply
leave a thanks by pressing the :good: button,it doesnt cost you anything

Hello, @shail00 maybe you should try some diferrent rom if this problem irritates you,you can try carbon rom which has all the features of cm11 rom and much more additional features,or else you can wait for android l rom on which developers are working right now as the kernel source is released for rexmi 1s we can expect a better rom(having no problems) from the developers

Give link to official thread of viper4android......also have you got the right from the developer about creating mirror to his links??you must ask him before(xda rulez)and i do think he hasnt allowed any 1 to create a mirror to his links...so better ask the developer about it...it would be good for you and him(the respective developer)
