Does there seem to be any solutions in sight for this issue? Any fixes after that can be applied after flashing the ROM?

I'be been running cyanogenmod 7 on my Evo and have been experiencing GPS issues from the start. I turn on GPS and open Google maps and it rarely tracks my position correctly. So of course I can't really use the navigation app because of this. When I revert back to my stock rooted rom I don't have this issue. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

Ummm yea. This is one of the biggest issues with cm7 from the start, and it's on the first post of every thread about this rom.

Have you read any of the information about the rom? There are a few things, including the flashing sense rom ##gpsclrx# trick, but most of the time that only helps temporarily. If you want fully working gps, flash a rom other than cm7.
Wow I guess I really missed that point. And I guess videos I have seen incorrectly stated everything works.
Thanks for the answer

Look galandy thread in the dev thread. You find some GPS zips in there. They work great for me

Rope-a-dope had them in the Deck's gingerbread thread. They work great.

Hello,
I'm having a weird issue when I flash a new rom to my phone. After I wipe my phone and flash the rom the colors on my screen change slightly, it looks like it gets a little more orange added to the colors. Does anybody know why dos this happen and what I can do to fix it?
Thank You
Does it happen when you flash other roms or just that specific rom?
I am curious if its a hardware thing or software. Can you please post a picture of it along with a screenshot so we can see what you are talking about.

I'm thinking it's a software thing because when I go to recovery mode everything looks normal. I took a few screenshots but when I transfer them to my computer they look normal.
Bump....
Mine did that for a while on aosp Roms with the packaged kernel I found kt's kernel works best for me I no longer get that. It also happened the most after enabling nav buttons.

And how exactly do you fix this problem?

Screen rotate one time and stop, and don't go back to previous direction. Next bug is with program Fileexpert it can't see externalSD. Other programs doesen't have problem with it.
Sorry for my english, but im just learning it.
Which nightly have you installed?
I installed cm-10.2-20131104-UNOFFICIAL-codina and gapps-jb-20130813-signed.

I reported and i don't get any reply...
Course, only admin can reply. Have you tried recalibrating accelerometer in ace 2 settings?

That rotation is not bug in rom... I had it on stock too. Calibrating might solve problem... But firmware reflash solves it for sure..

Reported alarm-related bug in bugreports section of CM10.2 dev thread some time ago, now I can't see it in list -- does that mean it was resolved or deleted as non-reproducible?
it means that it is cm souce bug and we cant do anything there
also that is not bug, may be feature. alarm will not ring again if you delete notification...

Well, then maybe its better to mark it as "CM source bug" in topic head spoilers to avoid re-discovering it again by other users in future?

My approach is simple: disabled thing shouldn't perform any actions, i.e. disabled timer shouldn't tick, disabled alarm shouldn't sound and so on. So even if CM developers thinks that it is a feature - it is a very bad one, really

Fix for Camera' first-time power button shutter bug, must be applied to CM sources
Also, default USB charging current is 500mA (according to driver code), not 600mA like declared in DeviceSettings
hello,
since day one when I bought my m8 I rooted it, and a it was fine but sometimes the phone will just freez, i cant go back home nothing the screen wont respond.
i thought this was because of the viper rom so i tried another rom but still it freezes some times, it not a big deal but what the problem? anyone having this issue?
btw when i flash a new rom i wipe everything.
thanks
I'd just go back to sense at least it works properly. Must be a Rom or kernel issue.
I've seen that but not too often

I would guess so. Disable xposed for a few days and see if problem quits.

Is there a Lollipop sharpening fix? Or a variation of Skydragon or Savoca kernel that works for LP 5.01?

What do you mean by reset? Once it's flashed, it always works, even after rebooting.

The original script had to be reset each time. I see this is a different thread with improved version that "sticks". Also did you flash with TWRP?

Flashed through TWRP. I used the other version on KK and don't remember any kind if resetting. Just having to turn on and off the display after boot for it to activate.

The article below should help. To me, it looks like the display is overly softened, creating more of a fuzzy look. Over sharpening creates more of a jagged look (at least that's what over sharpening on my TV and PC monitor does)
