Hi!
So after doing a software update (the one that pops up in the notification drawer), my phone won't boot. I could load up or get the classic "Secure booting error", but that was it. Now, I can't even do that. If I hold down volume up and volume down while connecting the USB cable, the phone will go into download mode and reboot after a second or two to the "Secure booting error" which will start in turn reboot after a few seconds to the same screen causing a loop.

I upgraded to D85120g via the LG Mobile Support Tool but lost root. While trying to restore root access, I bricked my device. Its stuck on the opening splash screen. The power button does not appear to be active. The notification led cycles between green/blue/off.
Typing "adb reboot recovery" in a console window says, "error: device not found".
The LG Mobile Support Tool recognizes the phone and says it has Software Version: D85120G, the latest available. If I click 'Options', then 'Upgrade Recovery', it goes through the steps of verifying windows, downloading 1226.54 MBytes, software extraction, and S/W Upgrade. But it only gets 4% through the upgrade and then says, "Upgrade stopped due to an error."
Powering up the phone while pressing the volume down, releasing when the splash first shows, then holding the power button again brings up the Factory data reset. I tell it yes to erase all user data & restore default settings, then yes to start. It immediately goes to the splash screen, then then android robot appears and says erasing for about 1 second, then the splash screen again. That's the last it does.
The phone shows up as a serial port but the drive letter it was mapped to has a yellow triangle "!" in device manager and says device can't start.
Can I get my phone to work again?
Got it working!
The trick was to manually set the phone into download mode by holding the volume up with the power off, then connecting to the usb cable. Once in download mode, I started LG Mobile Support Tool, clicked Options, then Install Recovery. It went through the complete process. I lost all my data but saved the phone!
Now I need root back.
I hope I didn't just brick my tablet...
I got it rooted just fine. Then I was trying to install a custom recovery when I got this error:
Code:
-----------------------------------------
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
-----------------------------------------
Every time this error is shown, the tablet freezes and I have to hold the power buttom for about 10 seconds for it to shut off.
If I try a normal boot, I get an LG logo and the error.
If I plug in the USB cable, I get a battery loading icon and the error. Not recognized on PC.
If I hold Vol- and Pwr, it will give me 4 options:
1) Continue reboot
2) Factory data reset
3) Wipe Cache
4) Safe mode boot
Option 1: Shows error.
Option 2: Give me 2 options: No (Exit) returns me to the previous 4 options. Yes produces the error.
Option 3: Shows a screwdriver and wrench icon, and says "ModeBackup & Restore Loading..." and produces the error.
Option 4: Shows error.
If I hold Vol+ and Vol- and plug in the USB cable to try download mode, I get a battery loading icon and the error. Not recognized on PC.
Any ideas what I could do?
I got into download mode. The button combo was Vol+ and Pwr.
Now I'm having problems with the LG Mobile Support Tool. When I try "Upgrade recovery" it gets stuck at "Downloading software..."
It starts downloading fast, but after it gets about 30% or so, the download speed drops to nil. My internet is stable and fast. According to NetBalancer, the LG tool starts downloading at a steady 3mb/s, and then drops to short bursts of 50-150kb/sec. I'm not having any connectivity issues with other programs.
I let it keep going earlier today for almost 4 hours. It got to about 60% and then the tool crashed.
What can I do?
My Lg optimus G F180S is stuck on the bootloop mode. It gives an error
"Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification varify"
I cannot get it into download mode (my pressing both volume buttons and plugging in the USB). When I hold down the volume keys and then plug the USB, it just goes into the same screen staying there is a secure booting error.
I also tried doing a Hard Factory Reset (pressing volume down and power and plugging in USB), it prompted me to press the power button again if I wanted to factory reset, but once i pressed the power, it just gave the secure boot error again.
Could you please help me?
After I rooted the phone, I was trying to flash TWRP using Flasify App on google play when this happened.
I would really appreciate some help.
Its been stuck like this for days. Please help me
I unlocked bootloader and wanted to install Magisk with TWRP but it kept giving me Error 1 saying "boot image patched by unsupported programs, please restore stock boot image" so I searched for the boot.img, transfered to internal device of the phone and flash it but I didn't do wipe data and now my phone is stuck in "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" message. I tried powering off by pressing the power off button, it goes on black screen for a couple of seconds then gets back to the same message screen, same with trying to enter into recovery mode by pressing power and volumen down button, comes back and gets stuck in the same screen, I tried connecting to pc with usb but doesn't recognize it. I dont know what to do please help me
Hi everybody, yesterday I was playing with my old Galaxy A50 trying to install a custom rom unsuccessfully.
I repeated the procedure three times installing TWRP and then Havoc OS but every time I tried to reboot from TWRP to OS I was stuck at the warning screen saying that the phone bootloader was unlocked and booting into download mode to reflash TWRP was blocked as it showed "only official binaries can be installed" (yes I installed Samsung disabler but still).
Still I was able to get the phone into download mode and reinstall the stock firmware as it seemed to be the only way to install and boot TWRP.
But at 4th time repeating the process I got frustrated, shut down the computer and left the phone on the warning screen still connected to computer usb cable.
Then I got back and noticed the phone was off as the battery died.
Indeed the battery died, so I put the phone in charging and after it reached 100% I tried to boot into download mode again to reflash stock firmware.
But here's the strange thing, I cannot boot into download mode anymore as pressing vol up+vol down while connecting usb cable, shows the lightning charge logo for 5 secs and then reboots infinitely with the same pattern.
If I force reboot by pressing vol down+power it shows the Samsung logo with the warning below it, then skips to another screen with another warning suggesting to press power button to continue (which does nothing) and after a while reboots to samsung logo.
So it doesn't seem it is bricked, it looks more like a battery controller fault, so I tried to detach the battery flex from the board, hoping it would reset the controller but it's still the same.
Also I tried with the flex detached and still no download mode is possible.
Was the download mode somehow erased? (if it's even possible considering it's the motherboard firmware)
If you need photos, videos or even a call on zoom, Skype, webex I would be glad to show you
same i got the same problem i can't find nothing for this when i press volume up and down and put the otg cable its simply charges but it gets stuck on the logo image there's no way to fix this but the only way is to open the phone, change the emmc and put one from samsung, close the phone flash a custom rom and you are done.
If you can enter recovery, do it. As soon as your phone gets into it, select the power off variant and then try to enter the download mode.
It seems like you did not unlock the bootloader, did you?
The bootloader Is unlocked i can't enter in the recovery because the phone locks on charging logo and its fully charged but when i try without charger It doesn't start.
