Hi guys,
I want to change battery from my Sprint M7, since 1 month, shutdown with 60 or 70% of charge while I use it.

Maybe someone here does know, but this is a Forum for the Verizon version.
The Verizon M7 cannot be opened, so we can't change the battery. The Sprint version can be opened???

Just wondering if the international version will support AT&T's LTE network. I'm leaning towards no, but am wondering if there will ever be a way to root the phone to get it to work?
I'm getting sick of waiting for the att version and fear the no commitment price tag it might carry.
I've always bought international phones and gotten by with HSPA+ but that's hard to do when AT&T now has full LTE service here.
No. Doesn't have the hardware. I got the international because I am not having a mid-November (projected) wait. I'll use the international for a while and if the ATT version doesn't suck completely, I'll sell and get a 32/64 branded one (assuming it's available).
LTE is nice, but I have used HSPA+ on every other phone (Netflix, Slingbox, tethering) without issue, so I'm not in a super hurry to get it. I'll see how the battery hit looks before signing my life away again.

Thanks. Just out of curiosity, how would you buy the Internationale version and then get the AT&T branded version in November? Unless you sell it?
What would be the easiest way to do that?

Buy International Version and use now, sell International Version on Craigslist/Ebay (and take a hit because it's used and the branded version with LTE is out) then go buy the AT&T version
I'll at least wait until the end of the week before making any move. AT&T might give more details by the end of the week.

Hi guys, I am new here.
I'm looking to buy a new high end smartphone and the budget is pretty low..
I was thinking about buying a used G2 on ebay from Sprint ( Prices are like from 220 to 250 !! o: )
Can I buy the Lg g2 from Sprint and have it unlocked with this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2655133
Is it going to be easy ? Will I be able to connect it to MetroPCS ?
Thanks
PS: Do you have any other suggestions ?

As much as I like the G2 it is fairly locked down and unless you are directly on sprint itself (not an mvno) I wouldnt buy it. I think maybe the new One Plus One or the Nexus is a better option for those kinds of things. Others may argue with me but if you arent locked in a contract then a more global phone might be a better idea.

I brought this phone last week from Genco. It was a opened box resealed item for $230 taxed and shipped. I received it on Monday. This phone look new to me. I was lucky to get this one and only on their store website.I'm with T-Mobile $30 prepaid and I trying to switch to Ting. They checked and I was told that my phone imei was cleaned, but couldn't activate it. This model is too new. So I did the build.pro mod and running stock 4.4.2. It was working fine for me on T-Mobile SIM. And then yesterday I decided to try CloudyPro II 2.1.
I chose the LS-980 Variants, surprising my phone work out of the box with my T-Mobile SIM.
Check my screenshot. It have the METROPCS LTE APN built -in. Maybe you can try this ROM when you get it. Love this phone after 3 years with NOTE 1

Oh cool thank you so much !
So, I just flash the ROM and the SIM will work ?
Im pretty sure a lot of ppl are going to be seeling their G2 once the G3 comes out, i would wait for this opportunity since phones will usually drop their price temporarily to bring in the new stuff.
LG G2 is the best quality/price

You can use the following thread to GSM unlock it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775238
I have bought a brand new sealed Sprint LG G2 from CL for $200 :fingers-crossed: and have it unlocked using the above thread and am currently running it on T-Mobile.
One thing:
->You must root the phone using ioroot2.5
->You must install the autorec which will install TWRP 2.7.x[The TWRP app from Google Play won't work on Sprint G2]
->Then you will install the ROM.
In case you need any help with any of the steps, you can ask me b/c I have installed this ROM just tonight
Thanks ! I was able to find the At&t G2 unlocked on ebay for $250 !

The United States AT&T perversion of the device, or the real one sold in nearly every other country in the world? If the AT&T one, probably not. If something else, then it's possible - check the non-AT&T Note 5 sections..
Take care

920A is the at&t variant. Unless a ping pong type exploit releases, we'll probably never gain root on this device.

If you want root get the 920i
Curious, maybe you know the answer to this but I've seen some use the 920i as well as the 920c on AT&T.. Is there a difference?

There must be as the different models have different bands the device can use for service. The 920i will certainly work on all at&t bands and you can get it on eBay now for $589. I don't know what bands the c model uses.
Did a lil research and I believe the C has the same bands but is the Dual Sim model.

As stated it is highly unlikely that root for the AT&T version will ever appear. The locked bootloader has made it almost impossible...and now with the added Knox switch, the phone won't boot if Knox is tripped. And just to address your request for a time frame...asking when someone thinks root will appear is the same as asking the lottery commission, "If I play the lottery every day, when will I win the jackpot" There is no way to have any advance warning root will appear.
I don't think the pile on is necessary
Well I did don't win lottery last night. So guess better luck next time around.

I am buying a 2nd hand HTC one M8, and the back seems pretty scratched up, of course I will put a case on it to hide the scratches, but has anyone else damaged their device? Also what is your average battery time?
No scratch at all, in transparent hard case since day 1 up to now (2x usd0.79 case that I ordered from ebay) which is already 2 years +.
Battery time, never calculate as I want to use the phone not collecting details on battery.
What I do everyday, fully charge before I sleep and use it for a day before I charge it again before sleep.

Thanks for that! Will a second hand phone be OK? Its been certified by a certified technician person. Also, how do you create that ROM you posted? I really want to create one!

That's depends whether the second hand is Intl variant or CDMA like Verizon or Sprint and AT&T (US phones)
Based on where you are located now .. never by any Verizon or Sprint. If it is AT&T, make sure it is already S-Off. The rest should be ok but if it come with S-Off, that's a bonus.
Also make sure is a M8, not M8s or M8 dual SIM or M8 eye .. no custom ROMs for these.
I don't make ROM .. only modified a ready made good custom ROM

I got my SM-910A and the network status stays only on emergency calls, bought it in for repairs and found out it that the motherboards needs to go changed. So I was looking on online to buy a new motherboard and the att one is expensive, which is a price for a used one about $99+. So I looked at the tmobile and its less expensive.
So can anyone advice that buying a tmobile board, is wise to put in a at&t device?

Interesting find, I read through the thread and it works good, expect the he gets a notification saying he doesn't the proper sim.
I live outside the US, live in the Caribbean Saint Lucia, the bands won't make much scene for me but my carriers are also gsm running on 4G. I try it myself in two weeks or three.

just that one has an unlocked bootloader, while one is completely dead in development
you won't be able to use all the bands on the phone, but besides that
you are getting more than what you paid for

Yes it would work just fine
It will. Using an AT&T Note 4 here, with SK Telecom (Exynos variant) motherboard. No locked bootloader included.
Had issues with camera though, but I guess I'll eventually figure that out. Shouldn't be a problem to you though, since you are going to use motherboard from the T-Mobile ones anyway.
