[Q] android 4.2 - dash and line appear after charging or discharging on lock screen

After changing roms to a 4.2 android version, on my lockscreen, a dash and then a line appear after the charge status. Eg: "Discharging, 99% - |" What is the purpose of these characters? Are they supposed to appear.

Questions go in Q&A for future reference. I've never seen that, which ROM are you using? Could be a bug in that specific ROM.

I too would like to know what is supposed to be displayed here, as I have just upgraded to the new CM and there's a silly message displayed on my lock screen which I must have typed in at some point and I need to remove it. It's not the operator name cause that's at the bottom. It must be something I've tried to customize before but never noticed a change, but I don't know what it is.
Any help anyone could be would be great. Thanks.
EDIT: Never mind, sorted it out. It's displaying the Owner Info. In Settings>Lock Screen>Screen Security>Owner info you can change what is displayed here after the dash.

here's the solution for that so you can save more battery, just flash the cell_stand by_Fix.zip ( download from my attachment)

can you post picture of comparison before and after install?

Cell Standby consumes more battery only when there is bad n/w for me.. Otherwise its always around 3rd or 4th place for me.. Below Screen, Android System and Media Server.. Since i use Media Apps a lot..

I don't think that 54seconds means simething usefull, changes like this need few days of testing. Also what does it do, make your phone stick longer to a gsm cell instead of auto switching to the best available one?

Wrong section, you need to ask in Q&A...
1. Try deleting Battery Stats
2. Turn off and charge.

That you can install like any other Normal app for any device running Android 4.2 and above. Root or No Root.
I have just made only one change that is removing the restrictions for compatible devices and unlocked it for all devices, there might be some bug for certain features that might not be supported on every device, but it works. I will update more apps that we all can use, even for unrooted devices. just don't ask for ETA's I am not that much in development actively.

No, for un-rooted device apart from sony.
for rooted users, that is possible for any device, but can't guarantee, until I or someone else tests it on Mi A1.

Without Root, not available for anyone apart from Sony. Need build.prop edits as well as other things on the system partition for it to work for the port.

None taken and as much as I love to have all the options open for an android device, I have to keep this device unrooted.(I have 6 other devices in my home and all of them are rooted except this one), so for now, it's my 1 percent to the A1 community.

General ROMs list - table with specific ROMs features (Google Sheets, objective and subjective things)

Hi,
Recently I was looking for the best ROM for myself for my personal device and made a table for myself with the specific functions I needed. Thought it was worth sharing, it might be helpful if you are looking for a ROM for Poco F3. But it can also be helpful if you are looking for a ROM for a different device, and when specific ROM is in this table, because some ROMs are same on different devices.
All ROMs are AOSP or AOSP-like looking. Not any MIUI-based ROM tested by me. Remember, some things are subjective, like what ROM have bad design (gore) and what ROM not. Some other things are objective like launcher default included in specific ROM.
The list is updated as of today, but may expire quickly as there are changes in some ROMs.
26.07.2022 UPDATE: Unfortunately, the file below is currently not shared (not available to view now) due to problems with the Google server. Maybe too much viewers or something like that. DON'T ASK FOR SHARE FILE FOR NOW, I CAN'T FIX THIS, BLAME GOOGLE.

It's option in settings like on attached screenshot (for now Awaken OS here), in some ROMs there is specific setting that make backgrounds completely black #00000 under dark mode settings or somewhere else, it depends on ROM where this setting is

I don't like MIUI personally, it's archaic and inconsistent (for example MIUI still not have support for Monet engine for MIUI apps, it have mostly gore themes in their theme store, ugly quick settings etc)

Can u tell where it is in Pixel Experience ?

Very nice work, great to see someone spenting his time just for testing those amount of roms and writing then that huge and usefull in key features list. Just that everyone normal user needs before flashing. Thanks a lot!

You mean this setting is for real not available in Pixel Experience or what? Maybe it depends on Plus and non-Plus version or depends on maintainer

If it's really there, probably under some dark mode setting or under monet engine settings

Done yesterday. I'm wondering about an improvement: in the table it would be so usefull if u clarify the exact tested build (it's well known some may be changed/fixed/removed/broken in future builds)
