Your question should be in the thread you linked to. You got the Android zImage from there, so that's where your question should be.

Hey guys,
I've followed XDA forums for years but this is my first legit question that has me stumped (which is why I have to post it here).
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 P607T (T-mobile) (rooted)
Android Ver: 4.4.2
Kernel: 3.4.0-1433887
Goal: I want to run linux on here and it has been the most aggravating week trying to achieve this goal. My preference would be Kali Linux but i can live with Ubuntu or Ubuntu Touch. I can't find a way to make it work. I would like to use it for mobile pentesting.
Problems:
1) I can try to completely change the system img to run it but when I do I get the issue that there isn't enough space where it gets saved. I think its like 2mb and the img file is GBs easily.
2) I tried partitioning my sdcard and installing the img on there to run separately but still no dice.
3)Complete Linux install - I end up getting it to try and run the md5 file but it is always saying that it is corrupt. Tried redownloading and all.
4)Linux deploy - Won't mount partitons no matter how many different configurations I try.
Please HELP ME!!!
Hi there,
unfortunately I messed up my GIO while trying to upgrade it to Android 4
I can no longer start it or get it into recover mode.
I can however get it into download mode. Now I need a new ROM. Wherever I find a link to a stock ROM ... 404. I think it´s because no one needs the old ROM anymore, but me, now.
Could anyone please provide me with an old stock ROM (country:NL) ?
Or tell me how I could easily upgrade to Android 4.x on a Mac ? I think I have to use the heimdall suite for this, right ?
Thanks for any hints and help
Hmmmmmmm.
Ok, what do I have so far:
Heimdall 1.4 for my Mac.
Can`t get a PIT file :
heimdall download-pit --output pit --verbose
libusbx: error [get_endpoints] error getting pipe information for pipe 1: unknown error
libusbx: error [darwin_set_interface_altsetting] could not build endpoint table
ERROR: Setting up interface failed!
Kies has been removed, machine rebooted, kextstat | grep -v apple is empty ...
Where do I get the files I need in order to use heimdall for flashing my GIO ??
Until now I just found S5660XXKTT_S5660XENLT2_XEN.zip. Think it can be used in recovery mode only, but cannot activate that mode anymore.
Any help, please ....

Love greeting of

Hello everyone,
shame that still nobody has reported. I have indeed managed to install TWRP v.2.8.0.0, but I have the Android OS 4.2.2 somehow uninstalled when the wipe command. Now I have no OS on my tablet. Well, all for over a week. I just tested a Flash Boot ZIP file to the Android version 4.2.2 Least again, to be able to install on TWRP. Different ZIP's from the XDA developers could not be installed. Either because the zip could not be installed or the possible Ubuntu Toch Version.
I would be very happy if one of you could adopt my problem, because I have not been as conscientiously as you.
Advance for your support and warm Dankf
Kind regards Stefan Harbich
I have the same problem. I've tried to install Ubuntu on Samsung S3 and now in TWRP - whatever I do (install, backup..) - these errors accur
Btw, everything works, but there are about 30 lines of errors like this about missing directories.
Any ideas?
