Hello everyone,
I have just bought "Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562" made in China (fake one) and i want to install apps but i cant root it because the download mode is not accessible throw (volume down+home+power)
Why i cant instal apps from the stor? it comes with Opera Mini Native v4.4.29625 as browser and another Dorado but the problem is javascript is disabled and there is no way to enable it then i can't instal any app from the markete since the button to instal uses javascript. The only way that seems possible is installing a file manager in the SD card using the SDK
i'm realy confused and need your help.:highfive:
Thank you in advance
same here
i got this one too,,
i sell it lower than original price..
Hi,
Just upgraded my Note 10.1 2014 WiFi edition to 4.4.2.
Figured out I can't write to sd card.
Read some pages about the problem but I couldn't find a solution for non-rooted devices...
Is there any?
Thanks!
you can write to sdcard using myfiles app or stock browser.
Now the down side of this - I purchased this tablet because of the SPen, screen resolution and external SD card slot. After KK I was no longer able to sync my docs with FolderSync as the directories I used are located on the EXT card yet I was able to find a temp work around with My Files by far not ideal. Working with a lot of PDF documents for study and work this was my next stop now I could no longer edit or markup my PDF documents as I could not save them as they were located on my EXT card. This was the show stopper for me next stop was rooting.
Write to disk denied whenever using any third party app.
welcome to kitkat. if you are not root. nothing we can do to help you out.
Thnx a lot for your reply . Best rooting method for the Tab S 8.4 SM-T705?
currently there's only one method. cf-autoroot which... will make your knox counter 0x1 which mean your warranty is void in some country.

Did you guys get the microsd writing working with root+sdfix app? It doesn't work for me even though sdfix runs and says fix done. I also tried manually editing the settings file and I am on rom supersamsung v2 which is supposed to be fixed on rom level but nothing works! Which file manager are you using?
And the usb file transfer in either camera or media device doesn't work. I don't know if it is related. I have 128Gb card... I'm ordering original Sammy microsd now if it helps.

What does it says when they don't let u write to SD card?
I did the root and supposing using a rom that have the fix installed but I still can't download torrent files to my card, not sure faulty card or just fix not working.
Well basicall if I try to make a new folder or copy a file to extsd root it gives an error msg or restricted access or what ever depending on app. I have used es file manager and other file managers.

Same issue with my 8.4" wifi. Tweaking apps say that writing is enabled, but still not working. :crying:
same here. Spent hours to look for alternative solution but non avail. Sigh... those fixes app and platform.xml editing all done but still not working.
bought a Samsung EVO 64gb, but technically its useless now. Back to 16gb internal storage....WTFFFF
i have the same problem with scan disk SD card i tried Kingston and working fine
You can thank Google/Android for deciding user needs are irrelevant. The only way you are going to write to the external SD card on an unrooted stock ROM is use Samsung-provided tools like their lousy file manager and gallery. Third party apps are useless unless you are willing to root and ruin your warranty.
Hi
Just got my TAB S 10.5 wifi. Painstakingly been trying to setup the pc so the tablet can talk to it. And installed ES File explorer so I can simply copy & paste my music to my SD card when ever I want.
But when I came to it, ES explorer will not let me do it, it says it needs to be rooted, which I don't want to do, I did on my S3 but that was purely to installed Viper for android.
2 questions:
Does anyone know if lollipop will sort out this permission problem when it's released.
and if not, is there a way to write to my SD card without rooting?
Many Thanks
At least make a proper effort at posting a subject line in the right sub forum and somebody might make an effort to reply...
Lollipop should fix sd issue i guess. I am running cm12 and have no problems. And theres no way to write to sd without rooting on kitkat or maybe i havent found a way

Kitkat introduced SD Card restrictions that meant apps could only read SD card data without being able to write to them or modify anything. Samsung somehow worked around this with their stock My Files app which allows writing to SD.
Lollipop should fix this by default and open up access to ES again

did not realise the title went missing, my phone is a bit Laggy now and plays up.
Anyway, bit more digging, and I have come across an app called B1 File manager.
anyway, move this to the SD card, and you can write to it's own folder. Then I can assign my media player albums to the sub folder and works a charm!!!!!
And I never tried the stock file manager. I'm still learning what's on here, I've been stuck on jellybean for the past 2 years so there's probably lots on here to figure out.

How does this method work?

Hi all!
Since I updated my Samsung Note 10+ 5G to Android 11/One UI 3, today was the first time I was trying to copy a folder into the Android folder, and I got error messages every time. In Androzip I see the other folders/files, but I can't do anything with them. It became write protected.
Same with Total Commander.
The stock file manager doesn't even show the contents of the Android folder.
Does anybody know what happened, and how can I solve this problem?
My Note isn't rooted and I don't really plan to root it because of warranty terms.
But, if I must..
Thanks for the answers!
Solved... I don't know how.. I tried to put a. pdf file in it. Succeed with it, and now everything works as it should.
I'm confused, after one and a hour of error messages.
Maybe, there was an autoupdate for your file manager.
