Hi ! I had to change my phone a couple of month ago, because my previous one HTC DESIRE HD ( ACE ) just switch itself off, and never boot the rom again.
I had the root access and S-OFF for a while, i changed the rom several times and it was working perfectly well, until it just blackscreened.
Then i tried to access to my recovery. That's what i got. I did'nt have the time to figure out what was wrong back then, but now I got some time, and i'd like to fix this problem.
The first time I rooted it and S-OFF, I created the goldcard by myself. In order to try to fix it, I tried again, I can't use any apps to gain root access, i can only access to the bootloader menu.
I tried to install a rom from the bootloader, nothing can do. I also tried to install with the official RUU.exe from HTC to put back the official rom, then root my way again. But I either get a 170 Error ( usb connection not available ) or a " You battery level is lower than 30 % , quit plz " I got another battery and both are fully charged.
I can access to the fastboot command. Tried with several SD cards, nothing changed.
Anybody can help me ?
Can you access bootloader? Maybe connect via adb?

Hi everybody,
I messed up a little my system.
One week ago I installed a B704 firmware, and today I tried to get back to B226.
The result is that now my phone won't boot, and I can't install any rom!
That's the story:
Following olav's guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132043) I got back to B123 (IntermediatePack): At first I modified the file build.prop with the alternative method described in the FAQ. B123 installed successfully and booted.
Then, i copied B226's UPDATE.APP to sdcard and booted into recovery. I got a lot of errors "Unable to mount /cust"...
I didn't know what to do, I tried a couple of times, and then... I wiped a lot of things using TWRP! (good idea, isn't it? :/ )
As a result, now I cannot install anything.
When I flash the IntermediatePack and try to install B123, I get into "Android System Recovery 3e) and nothing happens!
Can anyone help me?
My phone is useless right now....:crying:
Another detail (I don't know if it's useful):
The phone was not rooted, I couldn't root it or even install Gapps.
a few weeks ago I wanted to get the 4.4.3 update on my M8 but being rooted and missing apps I couldn't, so I found the developer edition rom and flashed the rom then flashed the firmware.
the thing is I have had root access ever since with out the need to use SuperUser, a little concerned any APK could access the phone and make a Mess I downloaded chainfires SU from google store, it immediately told me I needed to up date the SU binary, I cancelled and backed out but the phone rebooted and factory reset as if it was trying to update the SU via recovery.
eventually the phone rebooted and guess what, I am now missing the same APK files as before.
is it possible that it is the superuser apk causing the loss of the other apks and not the rooting process?
I am now going to have to reflash the ROM when I get home, how ever this morning before work I wanted to flash it, but when I used "FastBoot Boot Trecvoery.img" (touch recovery) the phone just hung and did not boot into recovery, stock recovery, longer shows the usual htc phone and red triangle logo, instead it just shows a white screen with htc written in grey
the phone works fine, but how do I get the ROM to reflash if I cant boot into custom recovery, I do not want to flash custom recovery as I prefer stock everything until my warranty expires.
am I going to have to S-off and start again?
Hey guys, im running 5.0.2 atm. i want to unroot my htc one m9 because i have no reason for it to be rooted really. i was hoping to be able to use game killer and those memory editors, but no available version for the new lollipop. so i want to unroot. I have the stock rom and adb files ready on my pc. but when i try to issue a command to my phone, it says the device is offline. and yes the pc's fingerprint is allowed. if you are going to suggest i download drivers or anything like that please link it. i have tried updating drivers and all that, says it is working properly. thanks in advance!!
EDIT: Ok as of right now, my main concern is flashing the stock rom, which i downloaded, and renamed the 0pjaimg.zip thing. I typed "fastboot flash zip 0pjaimg.zip" and it says "error can not load '0pjaimg.zip'" what do i do?

Yea I tried that, didn't work. I ended up almost having a heart attack haha. I went to wipe but accidentally wiped everything on my phone, my data , the root, and even the OS. I was stuck in download mode and boot loader, could not boot into recovery. And I was stupid enough to not have a backup. I ended up reflashing a ruu (thru my PC with a ruu utility) several times and it finally worked. My phone now is unrooted and I removed the boot loader. I achieved by beginning goal with a big hiccup before hand haha. I will now make a back up of my phone today lol. And I had titanium backup up, but it said I didn't have root access(when my device was rooted) so I figured if half the root perks weren't working, I'll just unroot, which I am happy I did. Don't have to worry about harming my device anymore. Game killer and all those memory editors didn't work anyway so root was useless to me

When I unrooted using SuperSu it ruined my installation also. I was stuck in a bootloop until I installed TWRP and reinstalled SuperSu, terrible!!! It eventually unrooted and I relocked bootloader but nothing worked so I was forced to root and unlock bootloader again.
I am wondering though, how did you return to stock? I really want the latest AT&T stock but when I install that RUU .exe it gives me error 155 so I can't install it. I was using 1.32 stock AT&T and wanted to install 2.6 (I think that's what it is, it's Android 5.1).
I am S-On, and not S-off, could that be an issue? Bootloader is unlocked and I am rooted now.
You know how u r supposed to rename the ruu u want to flash (assuming you downloaded the stock ruu for your carrier and device). The problem for me was, I could never connect my device thought adb after I rooted it (fast boot worked when I put it in fastboot). Even when I could give a command , it could never load the ruu. So what I did, was right click the ruu and click run as admin. It should open up a page on the top saying something about a ruu/rom utility. Make sure you device is connected and had usb debugging( before you got stuck in the loop hopefully). Now click accept and all that good stuff on the utility, it should scan your phone and show u your current rom image, and then show you the latest rom image. Click update and it will boot your phone to boot loader and begin sending it to your phone. IMPORTANT: DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE. Now here's the catch, if it said it failed or something about a USB error, close the program and start it up again. If your phone is stuck without the download bar moving(displayed on your phone), you are going to have to hard reset it. Google how to do it for your device (just a button holding combination). And start the program again. It will take a couple times for the program to work (mine took about 5-6 times). But it will work sooner or later. I am not home atm, but when I get home, I will find the link to the page where this info is displayed in a more orderly fashion and with pictures. It will be tonight, probably about 9 hours. Try this though, if it is too confusing, wait till I post the link. Good Luck!!
EDIT: Sorry just got back home from a long day haha, I'll be sure to look for the link tomorrow. But my directions above should be good, give it a try.
Hello everyone,
Let me apologize before hand because I am a little new to rooting androids. I have searched and searched and nothing seems to work for me. Anyways here is my story. I had my phone rooted with twrp and supersu but on lollipop. I thought it was time to upgrade so I decided to go to the HTC Website and locate the RUU. I downloaded the one in that link and installed it. Everything booted up fine. I installed TWRP and rebooted and it worked. I installed SuperSU as according to this LINK. The only difference is I had already put the zip file on my sd card before loading into TWRP. Moving on. This is where it started to mess up. I rebooted my phone afterwards and was stuck loading and then reloading at the HTC screen for 25 minutes. SO i decided this must not be working so i loaded back into TWRP. I tried DLing different versions of SuperSU and still rebooting at the HTC screen. As of right now my download mode says ***** UNLOCKED ******* S-ON. My OS is 3.38.502.12 and when I had originally installed TWRP my OS said Android 6.0. I am now trying to go back to the RUU and get it to flash the rom again but after hitting next on the installation exe it closes and does nothing. I have tried to look for a ZIP file but HTC apparently hasn't come out with one.
If anyone can help me I'd REALLY appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
Waffle
Alrighty I'm dumb. I finally got the RUU to work and was able to flash the ROM to default. Now back to trying the TWRP and Super SU install again =D hopefully doesn't bootloop again.
you need a new supersu zip, 2.46 is way too old
