HTC One X - HTC One X

Hi guys
I'm having some trouble with my HOX. I`m currently running a rooted droid running android revolution 33.1. I have CWM 6.0.3.2 as my current recovery and am trying to update to 6.0.4.8 so I can put slimkat 9.0 on my HOX. As I understand it the slimkat rom requires SELinux support for the rom to run and the latest version of CWM has this.
I have tried flashing the update using flashify and rom manager. Both say they have flashed correctly, however when i boot into recovery my version is still the current one im running. I have also tried using fastboot to flash the new recovery and it keeps coming up with "unknown error" in windows CMD. I have also tried apply update.zip from the recovery and i keep getting the error message "E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip no such file or directory". And the zip file i made is just called "recovery" and NOT "recovery.zip". I know this has caused trouble for other people, so this was the first thing I checked.
So I have a few questions. These are: Why fastboot won't flash the new recovery/why I get the error message "E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip no such file or directory"/ would i have to revert to stock rom and recovery and relock so I could re root the HOX and install the latest recovery.
Any and all help is welcome and greatly appreciated.

[Q] E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command

Hi,
I'm trying to backup my rooted stock ROM with ROM Manager and ClockWork Recovery Mod before I start to mess around with LeeDroid. However every time I try to back it up I get this error message:
"E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command"
Would anyone know why?

are you sure you have flashed CWM recovery? does it look like this? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4080/4899540611_d630b5c7cb.jpg because it sounds like your using the stock android recovery
Looks like I do have Android Recovery installed and not the ClockWork Recovery Mod. However no matter how many times I try to flash it via ROM Manager it just won't work. Also manually placing the CWR zip file on the SD card and then trying to 'Reboot into recovery' also doesn't work.

[Q] S-off but cant flash rom

I received a replacement Inc2. It came with 2.3.4 so i downgraded it and used Revolutionary to obtain s-off and install clockwork. Now when i reboot using power button and volume down, i get the white screen showing Fastboot, recovery, factory reset screen, etc. When i select recovery, i get the revolutionary CWM 4.0.1.4 screen. When I select install zip and select MIUI, this is what it says.
installing:
findings update package....
opening update package...
e: cant open /sdcard/miui.us.vivow...............(this rest of the filename)...(bad)
installation aborted
I have tried several ROMs and also tried to install a backup from my prior INC2 but none of it works
any help is appreciated
That usually means that the file is corrupt, but since you tried it on multiple ROMs, I think you need to update your recovery. Download ROM Manager from the Market, and Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery. Or, you can download the 4EXT Recovery Control app, and get an even better recovery.
Ok downloaded ROM manager and when I start it is gives me the message "you must root your phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found as "/system/bin/su/system/xbin/su"
I ok thru that but when i attempt to update to 5.0.2.0 is gives me the message " an error has occurred while attempting to run privilege commands"
I had my old Incredible 2 rooted without any issues.
Thanks for your help.
Update. Got it figured out. For some reason the superuser zip did not install. After I did that again, it works. Able to flash my setup from my previous INC 2. Thats for you help.

[Q] CM7.2 upgrade can't boot

Hello,
Today I updated my rom manager on my phone and saw there was a new cynanogenmod rom availble for my phone.
I downloaded the ROM with Rommanager and when it rebooted into clockworkmod recovery for install - it stopped displaying the message "Installation aborted".
I have tried downloading both version 7.2 and 7.1 (the one I were using before) manually and installing it by recovery bootloader - then I'm gettin the error message: (bad) Installation abborted.
I'm not able to post the recovery.log, cause of XDA forums restrictions :/
Any suggestions to what I could do, to get my phone working again?
Okay fixed it..
Used adb push instead of just copying the roms to the sdcard.

TWRP unable to flash roms

I've recently attempted to flash a rom in the TWRP Recovery and im receiving an error saying "error updating binary in zip /sdcard"
Can anyone help please because i don't have a backup to go to and i'm in need for solutions
Are you running the latest version of TWRP? If not try updating to the latest version. If you are running the latest version, try Philz Touch. I had problems with TWRP but not Philz.
Another possibility could be that your ROM download is corrupt.

[Q] Can't Flash - Teamwin error flashing zip

Trying to flash several ROMs on the latest version of Teamwin, and even a lower version after reading that it helped someone. Had to use ODIN recently and went back to a bone stock ROM, and now I rooted it and am trying to flash a custom ROM. Trying the latest SlimROM, Liquid, CM11, no luck.
Teamwin is saying "E: Error in /external_sdcard/ROM NAME
(Status 7)
Error flashing zip ' /external_sdcard/ROM NAME
Updating partition details. . ."
Any ideas before I re-ODIN my phone and go back to using a stock ROM?
Alright, I installed a JB stock ROM with bootloader via ODIN and I'll use this until tomorrow when I have more time. I'll re-root it, get a proper 4.3 ROM and give it a shot.
Did you give CWM a try?
Is there a reason your trying to use twr specifically?
